Not allowing any of this to show on your face, you thank Doran for his forethought, and while you are pondering maritime matters you speak of your expedition to Yi Ti, asking him if he would wish to invest in the venture for the treasure fleet while promising returns far in excess of any that has ever sailed from Westeros.

"I had not considered it..." his words trail off. "My immediately available funds are not as plentiful as they once were, but it would be folly to ignore the chance, though I am afraid I can already hear my seneschal weeping bitter tears..."

On such short notice Doran cannot pledge trade goods, but he can offer gold, either to buy goods from the Opaline Vault in the few days that remain until the expedition departs or simply to send it with the ships to buy Yi-Tish goods.

200,000 Gold added to the Yi Tish Expedition Funds

Yeesssss.... The expedition must grow....

@DragonParadox, can we poke at the Brunes and the Velaryons so they can invest as well?

"You realize he isn't going to stop especially now that he has so very many interesting options..." he trails off, motioning vaguely with one hand to show the vastness of existence, though granted in a context that few would think to use.
Viserys: "I know the feeling." :V
"Do be careful about the Riverlanders," Doran counsels. "Robert Baratheon is planning to pass through there on his way North soon. It would be most inconvenient were he to trip and fall on say a Darry blade before the proper time."
After Balon Swann pondering Roberts demise just a few updates ago, I can't help but see Robert as a lemming these days, goaded away from his own doom by a all-seeing entity trying to protect him.
"I shall just have to make sure no lords encourage the smallfolk too much in keeping and enshrining such objects." After a moment he adds: "If you need any suggestions for caricatures I was told I had some skill at drawing in my youth..."
We are doing this. No ifs. No buts. We are doing this.

[X] Have a nice little chat with Crimson Lotus
-[X] Go into this as if it as a play that will be written on the fly. The cell is a stage, every word spoken a script, and with the knowledge gained from his interrogation, you can write a play that sees him not only dance to your tune, but do so willingly and with joy.
-[X] Details TBD - Recruitment, using him to poach Fey from the Court of Stars, laying groundwork and diversions for further activities, etc.

Need to clear my head a bit, so just the intention vote of what I want to do for now.

@DragonParadox

1) Does the Orphne King have any fey lords or ladies he's willing to part with so we can manage our Fey Forge To Be? (Also because I just want to collect minions)
2) Does the Orphne King have any fey knights he's willing to part with?
3) If we take a perfectly mundane fey like, say, a sprite, can we convince it that it's a fey lord via story manipulation? Would that make it a fey lord?

The sad part is, at least among the Westerosi nobles that count themselves our enemy at any rate, he actually tries to improve himself rather than hide behind a title or some back door plan to drown us in peasants or some such.

Hell he's one of the only ones actually gearing the fuck up and training himself to take us on directly. You've got to respect balls that big.

This is a man, in a different realm or a different time, who would have happily and probably even successfully, ruled his little patch of dirt and had a fulfilling and dare I say even happy life.

It's not going to stop me from spiking his ass like a football and then placing him on the wall if he survives the experience though.

@Azel Now is the time for maximum social buffs. That includes Surge of Fortune, some of the more esoteric spells I can't remember off the top of my head, and Mythic Surge. I'll try to get you a list when I get home this evening.

I would love to put Robert at the Wall if there's a way to spare him. He's a hell of a fighter, and we'll need every bit of help we can get for the Long Night.

  1. Not really, he suggests asking a fey who does not mind being rooted to a living thing like say a dryad
  2. In his case they are hunters, not knights, he is shadow fey. He has two or three he would be willing to part with for the right price
  3. Yes, just look at Moonsong, she is a sprite and soon to be a lady

We've had this. We can't afford to spare him, because as long as he sits on the chair of pointyness, Ned and Stannis will fight us to death. So our best option is Cersei murdering him to get him out of the way without dirtying our own hands.

...

Unless...

...

Hm... I need to think about this...

It's so deliciously evil! You can tell by how he wrings his hands!

As far as I can tell...

1. Glyra and the Roaming Chaos -- Glyra leads a bunch of CG Gremlins in a troupe that goes around the Imperium but for the most part follows our orders if there's a job to be done.

2. Moonsong is pretty much on the cusp of forming a court when she gets the Moonchaser -- sworn to us for as long as the Imperium stands

3. The Bulabar and the Pech are merging to form a brand new court together and possibly have children together, and also the Pech have been promised a mountain and the Bulabar have their own Tinker's Guild, and both are being shaped by working closely with crafting mages.

4. The Queen Rhaella will likely be forming her own court soon enough

And all other courts are to be acquired.

Duly noted. We shall need to acquire a Dryad Lady.

I wonder if we could bargain with the Dryad Queen of the Goldenwood Court for a child of hers.

I know, it just would have been nice to have him on the Wall.

Personally, I've never viewed Robert's death as something that's completely necessary. Just having him discover the twincest would torpedo the alliance just as destructively as Cersei murdering him. He's never going to not hate us or be less of a total prick, but the man's a hell of a warrior, and sending him to the Wall after winning the war effectively removes him as any sort of political threat just as finally as death.

@Azel,
Honeyed Tongue to effectively re-roll any diplomacy check untill the most important one, on which those "nat 20" from a spell should go.
Focused Scrunity for +5 untyped Diplomacy bonus

Stop being so obscure, god damn it!
You're driving my hype-levels too far!

Mind you, our orders are mostly constrained to telling her where to be a nuisance.

Same here. We point her at a rough direction and tell her to go nuts.

I have high hopes for what is happening here. Something like a Court of Steel maybe? Whatever it is, I'm looking forward to it.

The issue is Ned "I will stay at his side, even against the gods!" Stark, who'm the thread would never be willing to execute, and Stannis "DUTY DUTY DUTY" Baratheon, who I personally would like to preserve though I'm far more willing to murder people I like for personal gain then the average poster.

I'm kind of hoping we can get subordinate fey courts in Sothoryos. That would very likely help in expansion.

Same for the Rhoyne.

... @DragonParadox, do we know what courts are in the Rhoyne?
