Manacles and whipping or 'just' "open office" - with cameras?
More like no longer having a wall to my back and my boss being in an office I can see him exit or enter through peripheral vision, but instead having a cube right next to his, while the on site ops manager is less than 30 feet away.

Makes perfect sense to move the most productive, least dysfunctional group, who get the most work done with the fewest people, for no reason, right?

I spend at least half the day wasting time on the internet and still get more done than anyone else I know of in the building. I'm not bitter at all, of course...:mob:

Is that by chance that "Golden Egg" book? Because in that case, Valeria was supposed to finish that this turn. It was at 6 of 8 progress already, so Valeria can't possible roll too low to not finish this turn.

@DragonParadox?

Also, what characters do I need to add to the sheets now? Do we get full control over the Misfits? If so, @Crake, what are their full names and what actions can they take?

And should I rename Tyene Sand to Tyene Sandviper?
  1. Thanks for reminding me. I'll have that written up in the morning
  2. Yes you guys do get full control, they are sworn to you. This is what their strategic level stats came out as
Denys: Research, Diplomacy
Researcher

Ceria: Research, Intrigue, Diplomacy
Diplomat
Researcher

Criston: Military, Law Enforcement
Famous Leader

Ting: Intrigue

As for Tyene, not yet. They still need to inform Doran.

My current predictive method for work-related management decisions: "What makes least sense, maximizes inefficiency and hurts to do most?"
Works better than I like it to.

Damn, they are great.

But wouldn't Elusive Shadow kinda fit Ceria better then Researcher? She seems more the conspiracy theorist then the academic to me.

Well, she does research things.
She just doesn't share the results with anyone :V

She was a researcher out of necessity, according to Crake. When she unlocked her magic she had to do research on the Storm God.

My colleagues and I arrived at the same conclusion.

I'll be using all of my free time to do my work at half the normal speed, so it should all even out, except I'll be looking for alternative employment rather than being a happy corporate drone.

Reminds me of the time when my team was actually producing something of marginal value. Or the time before that, when we produced useful things. Or the time before that, when we did things in a tenth of the time, with a quarter the man-power and twice as good as the other teams, despite spending over 50% of our work time on shenanigans and memes.

Amen. And that's the atheistic Devil saying it, so you can imagine how heartfelt it is.

I don't think Elusive Shadow fits her, though. She doesn't have the skills or magic for it. I had to make a pretty thorough argument to get Tyene included as an Elusive Shadow and she's basically built for it.

And you had to do that then because I was iffy on the details of Tyenes build, namely how awesome she is at intrigue. Likewise, I'm iffy on Ceria's build and wasn't aware that she isn't all that great at intrigue.

Holy shit, the Court of Stars is indeed planning on merging the Reach with the Feywild. My speculation-mongering feels vindicated... You've got to appreciate the sheer audacity of that plan, have an interesting chat with their Queen before nailing her to the tree.

A Fairy tale North Korean-style fortress state too costly to invade... Man, I wonder how much the Tyrells know of this and how far they grade on the sliding scale of willing partners vs horrified hostages.

[X] Goldfish

Anyway back to the vote. @Azel you're right this is a great propaganda point even DP said so. That said we can't afford to have it as our official position. Of you go with @Goldfish's compromise vote we get a true-ish official story and rumours against the Seven. What's not to love there?

Personally, I want to drop this on Wyllas Tyrell, flatly telling him that we have no idea if his father and grandmother are aware of this and fine with it, or suckered into this as oblivious patsies. Either way, it's pretty evident that leaving the Tyrells with more authority then a mildly dim goatherd is looking like a really bad idea to us right now.

@Goldfish, I've just had a peek at your crafting list and you are not fully utilizing Lya. She now got Crafting Mastery, meaning that she can make twice as much progress in a day for items for which she has the appropriate crafting feat.

Personally, I would use the freed up crafting time to craft a Standard Metamagic Rod Familiar. That means that we can imbue Varys with up to 3 spells of up to 6th level per day. Stuff like... Firebrand, Teleport, Greater Dispel, Baleful Polymorph, Necrotic Bomb, Greater Shadow Enchantment, Imperious Glare, Freezing Glance, Starmantle...

That's part of the crafting capacity I've left unassigned for now. Things always end up needing to be shuffled, so I like to leave some room to handle the overflow. I haven't forgotten about her. ;)

I like that Rod! Wasn't aware that particular variant existed.

If possible I'd like a rod of every variant for Viserys so we can have all the metamagic. Our cloak makes it feasible to have them all out of the way when not needed and immediately close to hand when the time is right.

The other one I've got my eyes on is the Persistent Spell one. Mind you, the Patherfinder Metamagic has the same name as the 3.5 one, but a wholly different effect, namely that you have to save twice against a spell.

Leading to:

Mammon: "At last! We meet again! And this time it shall be your skin that will make a cloak!"
Viserys: "Then let us begin... turtle lord."
Mammon:
Viserys: "I cast Persistent Baleful Polymorph as a Swift Action."
Mammon: "Bah. I have pearls for days!" *burns one*
Viserys: "Persistent. You need two."
Mammon: *grumbles and burns another one*
Viserys: "Fine then. Now I cast Stilled Persistent Baleful Polymorph as a Standard Action!"
Mammon: "Argh... fuck you Targaryen!" *burns another two* "At least you are--"
Viserys: "Not done yet! Celerity! Stilled Persistent Baleful Polymorph! :V"
Mammon: *burns last two pearls* :jackiechan:
Viserys: :V
Mammon: "Doesn't matter. I'm out of pearls, but you are out of time!"
Varys: "Baleful Polymorph! :V :V :V"
Mammon: :o *rolls nat 1* *is turtle*

That's unrealistic. We all know that Mammon has a breastplate made from Beads of Newt Prevention

You're just toying with him by not making the Baleful Polymorphs mythic.

On a less silly note, having Varys fire up Freezing Glance and then putting him on Counterspelling with a Greater Dispel Magic while he hurls free Save or Suck effects each round is pretty hilarious. Load him up with a Firebrand that he can use in a pinch to finish something off and that rod is already worth every damn copper needed to make it.

The Greater Rod would be even more hilarious, allowing Varys to be imbued with Shadow of the Doom, Avasculate, Bloodwish, Dragons Roar and Arbitrament. The most evil thing we could do with that is having Varys cast Bloodwish: Anti-Magic Field, then using readied actions to negate enemy spells by having him move to defend the target of the most dangerous effects.

@Goldfish, I've got a crafting request. Can we make a Greater Rod of Merciful Spell? It would cost us 1225 IM to craft (6.125 unmodified crafting days), but it'd be very much worth it in the long run. We wouldn't need to use Ancestral Awakening whenever we need to capture something, and we could reserve the spell for more urgent uses.
