First thing, it does not matter one bit that the Seven or a cleric can disprove it. We can just as easily disprove that she was brought back by making her a new body from dead babies and then paying a few dozen souls to Asmodeus to fetch her soul for us, yet we still don't want that narrative to take hold.
What matters is getting the inertia of a rumor that doesn't hurt us, but does hurt our enemies.
