Huh...that's not how I remember it.

@Duesal, Oh, Guru of Search-Fu, can you by any chance find that particular ruling? I really thought DP had allowed us to Teleport the Golems.
Okay, here's an example of constructs being allowed to be teleported.
@DragonParadox, would you object to having four Greater Three Eyed Ravens with us?
You would have to go back and grab them since you would not have had the passenger slots to take them with you on the first go.
Bag of Holding

As constructs, they don't breath and the bag is a extradimensional space. We would only take along the entrance to it, not the contents.
Makes sense. You have them.
I'll keep looking for a ruling on golems, though.

That said, I would greatly appreciate it if in the meantime you guys ask Yrten and Siduri to keep an eye on the Court Mage's ship so we can try to get it in two months rather than next month.

@Azel - I'm currently working on what we should say to Ser Karyl. Should we tell them about the subversion of the Faith by devils and what Lyn Corbray's done in particular?

Mind you, worst case, we sink the convoy and don't get any loot (which is hilariously unlikely, but not entirely out of the realm of possibility), then sinking it when it's full of hideously valuable Adamantine is doing far more damage to the Efreeti then sinking it when it's full of easily replaced slaves.

Also, a cargo hold full of metal bars is easy to Teleport, a cargo hold full of people isn't.

We're working on the slow game to subvert the Graftons from the Seven entirely. We might end up working against ourselves if rather than being rotten on principle we tell them that the faith is just subverted by fiends. It gives them a clearer target rather than the overall disdain we wanted to inspire.

The people aren't that hard to deal with. Just give them over to Yrten and Siduri for transport to the nearest friendly trading hub, or if they're willing subject them to a Shadow of the Doom to petrify them all and bring them back home where our Pech de-petrify them.

We keep Corbray currently on a need-to-know base until Grafton and Dana finally move against him. Also, I would rather point out how cozy the Most Devout are with the Lannisters. Especially their coin purses.

@DragonParadox, what is actually the situation with Dana and Grafton? That has been going forever.
Do we maybe need to play Dywen for a day to finally wrap this up?

@Azel I think the Doomship would be an excellent PR stunt if nothing else.

Which seeing as many civic minded Djinn are buying our products, a chance to get ourselves put on the front cover of the history books would not go amiss.

Technically we're already in the books, if as something of a "curiosity" eccentric barbarian King, or "the Lost Dragon" more generously, but the fact that we stand out as being some kind of rare tamed zoo animal, as say, opposed to a peer power, really stands out.

It says something that Genies are experts at making backhanded compliments sound so pretty, @DragonParadox.

A bunch of slaves is still shitty loot compared to tons of Adamantine and I would rather not have to worry about hitting civilians when assaulting that fleet. If a slave lucks out on his save against Enlarged, Maximized, Searing Doom spell, he is a blast shadow on a molten wall.Adamantine just get's slightly runny.

Fair enough. Should we reveal that Lord Royce is actively working for us, or is that also something we want to keep absolutely secret?

*rolls backlog*

Decent rolls and a pivotal crit. Grafton is willing to convert, however he is still not terribly keen on blood sacrifice for practical reasons of not wanting to be hated by his neighbors

@Crake we are technically a full partner in the war, we have even promised with the soul cash ambush to act like one.

We just haven't really done so yet.

It would be, but we are ill equipped to handle it. We don't know the terrain in the wild areas of the PoA and letting it get anywhere even remotely close to the safe and thus inhabited areas would be madness.

Also, what @Crake said. DRAGON SMASH is fun and all, but I think if we can somehow get the Wyverns to participate, it would get us more respect. It's the difference between being very good at being a axe swinging barbarian and showing up with shiny military hardware.

Fair, I think we should get them some dog fight experience before we send them in though.

Any ideas?

The Djinn might be able to help actually...

Promises and Pledges are empty wind passing between smiling lips until delivered upon. Until we do, we get treated with fond amusement and patience from beings who live for thousands of years, and so far the only thing they expect us to keep up on in the short term is our continuing leasing of personally powerful agents (as deniable assets go, we go right down the middle-line of disposable and too useful, as in if any of us die it's no great loss to the Peerless Empire for example, but we're so useful that they can ungrudgingly pay every cent they say they'll owe us).

I guess having a little chat as Dywen with him should seal the deal then.

As for the blood sacrifice, we can just tell him that in time, they will understand and until then, he should ask for the aid of those who are less constrained by the blindness of their peers as him against the forces of the dark.

I have hope. DP's post implied that he's not even against it all that much, he's just leery of bad PR. It took a while, but we actually did it. :D

[X] Talking to Knight Mk. 3
-[X] Assure Ser Karyl that we have not forgotten that the Grafton's were the sole house in all the Vale to remain true to the Targaryens, and shall be suitably rewarded for their loyalty. In the meantime, we're asking them to prepare for the Reconquest once we've finished wrapping up Essos, working with the Royces to ensure the loyalty of as many houses in the Vale as they can. Disparage the Faith as having climbed into bed with the Lannisters, all too eager to decry our 'evil ways' and yet awfully silent about the Golden Shields all the sudden.
--[X] Speaking of which, does he have any idea why Vardis Sunderland and Ser Halys Belmore are here? It isn't difficult to figure out what the Sistermen are up to but Belmore is a bit of a surprise.
-[X] Invite Ser Erren Florent for a private royal audience in order to figure out if he's aware of his uncle's diabolic dealings, and why he's here in general. The Florents are no minor house, and being able to quietly flip them to our cause would be yet another step in firmly securing the Reach south of the Mander.
-[X] The Peake's have greatly declined in influence and their current lord is married to a Lannister, if barely. Still, a noble house is a noble house. Send an envoy to discover if the 'Quarreler' speaks for his family or is here over personal ambition.
-[X] Have an agent subtly contact Ser Wendel Manderly to find out if he wants to speak to us, is here for some specific purpose, or is just participating in the joust and observing the proceedings.

@Azel - this look good to you?

The differences in speed remain a problem regardless. Trying to coordinate a jet fighter wing with the worlds meanest bi-plane is still a nightmare. Either Amrelath and the Harbinger move in first, giving away the moment of surprise by their approach, or they take forever to catch up.
Don't the fighters have an 80 ft speed in tactical combat?

Can you jog my memory on that? What is the Lord Florent up to again?

But yeah, getting the Florents would wrap a nice bow on the southern Reach. We got Tarly, already costing Mace his best general, if Redwyne flips then the coast and the Mander are wide open and with the Florents, the only house in the south we haven't gotten so far would be the Hightowers.

It would also put a neat bow on other acquisitions, as both Tarly and Stannis have a Florent bride.

That's the speed at which they can hover. They can make passes at much higher speeds.

As far as targeting goes, I would apply the Mechwarrior rule. The Wyvern can shoot at everything it has a firing angle on from any point of it's path and likewise can be shot at by anything that has angle on any step of it's path. It would still be harder to hit the faster it goes, but this variant is much better at modeling fly-by firing at these speeds then hacking something together from D&D rules.
