We can probably do with less than 1 foot of volcanic soil, it's not like it need to be pure volcanic soil, even 25% volcanic soil mixed in with the normal soil, would result in good soil, and there's other spells to improve soil quality it can be combined with, that are lower level and we can teach to our underlings.Yep.
21 20x20 foot cubes of effect are created by the spell, then the ground down to a depth of 210 feet under each cube is converted. Each 20x20x210 column contains 84,000 cubic feet of soil. 21 of them equals 1,764,000 cubic feet.
Magic is a tool and when the best tool to increase our farmland is to repeatedly throw around a 8th level combat spell in full view of half the city, then so be it.
Maybe, but Mithral is still better. And it looks better. Heck, we've even got dragonhide in stock if they want it.I have not decided yet. I'll have to go though some source books in the morning. One thing to keep in mind is that the chitin makes decent light armor.
They're not the last, there are more in the Underdark. So, seems like these guys may be the last of there kind. Lest see if we can rather fine more of them, or at least gain a population of them for some nice Assassins and/or sabatures.

The wine would be magical, too. Please, please, please.
I love the imagery. People would gaze at it in awe.
"What manner of being are you to stand in the halls of the Children of the Serpent?"
There are many answers you could give, of course, but you decide upon simplicity before a world much changed: "A dragon."
... Yeah, that sounds wise.Should we call Snowfire? They need to deal with trauma, even if they are Drow and are used to the shithole that was Drow society.
We could also have replied: "Their landlord."
@Snowfire, leave this body! Possession is bad, even if you aren't a demon! For now they should really recover.
Just like. Take a few days maybe?
Work the kinks out and familiarize themselves with the city.
I think they are still obligate nocturnals, and blinded by sun light besides.
We can also ask them to tell us what they knew about their empire and people.
standing in the light of day and not preying on others in the dark

More seriously: @DragonParadox, what do we know of their builds/levels? I'm wondering what we can have them do. Drow have some great racial PrCs (a good Yathrishnee-dip build is amazing for necromancer Clerics, for example).
Calling it now: they're HiPS killers (using the Drow Blend into Shadows feat and maybe a level of Warlock for Darkness at-will), possibly with a cool rogue PrC like Hellbreaker (demon-killing and amazing HiPS, yay!) or access to shadow-pouncing. And of course they have poison use.
This analogy is not valid for Drow. For them it sounds like "jumping into a pull of itching powder instead of being in the safety of my home", with them not liking light and actually blending in the darkness that gives them security.
You aren't wrong, but it's logistically easier for us to just use pure volcanic soil. It's not like the stuff is hard to come by, so we might as well create farmland that will be abundant for centuries to come.We can probably do with less than 1 foot of volcanic soil, it's not like it need to be pure volcanic soil, even 25% volcanic soil mixed in with the normal soil, would result in good soil, and there's other spells to improve soil quality it can be combined with, that are lower level and we can teach to our underlings.
Oh, could we get to stat them if we recruit them?I don't have sheets for them yet since you guys caught me by surprise when you voted to lift the curse.
They are definitely not clerics or any sort of divine casters. I was thinking some kind of mage/rogue build, maybe arcane tricksters.
