Argh but i'm so conflicted. Finally a competent human opponent, and he goes and makes a deal with the rusty noodle, and the overgrown mutated lizard. I want to argue for keeping him, but see no way to give him even the smallest amount of trust.
Why not just have Bloodraven confirm that the hell-forged Mind Blank is safe from hell, then give it to the Varys simulacrum we're going to make? We need it on him right away, and it's not like we ever have extra Mind Blank rings on hand. While the amulet is a no-go, the Mind Blank ring is quite nice. What do y'all think of gifting it to Bloom?
So, uh, shouldn't we get the Sinulacra done post-haste?
Get Uncle to go through Pycelle's mind too, and send their simulacra on the way?
You know, I find myself increasingly wanting to Diplomance Varys. He's competent, useful, and seems to actually have ideals.
Maybe they're stupid ideals, but they exist. And that means that @we can do the "Lawful evil priority reorganisation" thing, and get him on our side!
Of course this requires knowing more about what his ideals actually are. Maybe they truly are incompatible with ours, but we can't be sure yet!

I'm not saying we forgive him - but maybe we could make use of him somehow? Bind him and incentivize him?He is literally one of the key reasons for why Westeros is so utterly fucked up. It would be utterly OOC for Viserys to forgive him that, let alone everything else he's no-doubt been involved in.
Oh, he's not being let out of here. The only way he lives is as a permanent meat-puppet to the OGs, and if he dies we're feeding him to Yss.
Devils, devils everywhere. He is literally one of the key reasons for why Westeros is so utterly fucked up. It would be utterly OOC for Viserys to forgive him that, let alone everything else he's no-doubt been involved in.

He's slippery, but we're pretty good too.

If you really wanted, we could make multiple Varys simulacrums. But he is never getting free. At the end of this, if he leaves Bloodraven's tree, it'll be to go straight to Yss.I'm not saying we forgive him - but maybe we could make use of him somehow? Bind him and incentivize him?

Same. By the way, does a person need to be alive to make a simulacrum of them? Because if not, I want a leg.We are going to make use of him. We're going to use some of his blood to make a Simulacrum to take his place. That's as much 'use' as I want from him.

Let me guess - set them on each other?Varys has plans to permanently deal with Tiamat and Mammon on the way to his hoped-for better future.
Yeah it would take some very good arguments to have Viserys let Varys get out alive given the horrible things he has done. Cutting off the tongues of children and then killing them when they are no longer useful pushes Viserys' buttons really hard.

Edit: You don't let competent enemies free, or try to bind them to your service. You wring them for everything you can get and then shoot them in the back of the head.
Twice.
@DragonParadox, does a person need to be alive for us to be able to make a simulacrum of them? I'd like it if we had the option of Varys simulacrums whenever necessary.
As many as functionally possible via Regenerate.
