I feel that'd be a giant red flag to everyone he's allied with.

And he would be paranoid enough to set up a contigency that would activate only if he's left without his defenses.

@Crake, carefully check what's every magic aura on him, I suppose. Activating soemthing by taking it off wouldn't bode well.

The only thing you could do is cast Mindblank, the spell, onto him before polymorphing and bottling him.

@DragonParadox, does Viserys think a good idea to drop off bottled, turtled Varys at Bloodraven's now, with maybe some sacrifices in tow, to ensure Varys remains untouched by Noodle?

Yss is asleep, and MK is not nearly as powerful in our place for now.
OG's are our best bet in raw power, it seems :/

You know well yourself, that the only thing I can do when planning this soprt of things is throwing out wildly paranoid guesses, and that's what I was doing.

@Duesal we need to put aside time to get a scroll of Contingency for Lya and for her to learn it. And we also need to, from this point on, walk around with an anti-Disjunction GDM Contingency up at all times - we can Bloodwish this. It would certainly make sense from an IC point of view to react this way.

-[X] Turtle and Bottle Varys for now. Send Rhaella, Nuri, Aradia and Vee to the Wind House to report on the altercation (not the full one, merely one with enough details to show courtesy towards the local magical law enforcement).
--[X] Varys will be stripped of all magical items or anything dangerous, mechanical or otherwise, documents, whatever.
-[X] Viserys and Dany will go straight to the Sealord's Palace to make an account of our actions. It's merely fortunate that, although some powerful magic was thrown around, most of it was either flashy and harmless or powerful and understated, so Ferrego can get a headstart on claiming it was a sanctioned action--and he would have wanted to, regardless. We will make a similar report in the secure against divination manner possible about what kind of ilk Varys trucked with, and caution him to increase security in the short term against possible agents of Tiamat or Mammon, such as fiends, cultists and spies. Suggest finally that we open up an Inquisition office in Braavos with his blessing, to better coordinate our efforts.

I just find it pointless to try do more against what you're arguing for. Now apparently it does take time for Gods to draw away power (and perhaps knowledge), so if you WANT to go maximum over paranoia, here's my suggestion.

Leave someone behind to explain our ambush to the Sealord and Alysande. Minimum one person. We have social credit, so it's rude but excusable since we're pressed for time.

Grab two sacrifices and head STRAIGHT for Brynden with Varys in tow, don't even bother to polymorph the bastard, just sling him over our shoulder. Carry capacity item for the win, even a heavyset man should be fine.

Then have Brynden work his mojo against Tiamat and Mammon et al and maybe assist in a thorough interrogation with his wicked suggestions.

That's the most we can do. We might recover fragments.

If you want to argue that we kept a couple of bottled sacrifices in our cloak for just such an emergency with @DragonParadox, we can be at the tree before the wind house in one teleport, and be tree striding seconds later.
 
Does that mean Shivering Touch is back on the menu? Because we had agreed not to use it due to cheesiness, but since the enemies are also going to throw them out...
 
Alright put him in the cloak for now and we can ask Yss if he can do such a thing. If he can then easy money. If not we hit until we make our anti god room and rip it out of him.

I'd actually be all for going straight to Bloodraven. Varys certainly warrants that kind of response.

Yeah, that was my reaction as well.

If enemies are going to have it, then I want it, and I want to abuse the crap out of it.
 
@Crake you could just send Nuri to do the report to the Silver Eye on our behalf, she can wait here untill a rep/agent arrives an give them a basic report, we can be seen to abide by Brravos authority, and we do not need to make such a show of it. Why bring the sea lord into it?

@Duesal The best defense against Mage's Disjunction is Spellbane. As soon as Viserys levels up, we might as well just commit to investing one use of Mythic Power daily in order to cast Spellbane using Wild Arcana.
 
Personally, I feel it is a lost cause to grasp for shards of the truth from Varys, and we'll need to content ourselves with mundane secrets and one less dangerous enemy.

But narratively speaking, the next updates I want to see are bringing the head of the Blackfyre Conspiracy for all intents and purposes before Bloodraven, because that is straight up poetic justice right there.

Rhaella and Aradia go to the Sealord to explain your actions with a promise for further explanation in more secure (mindblanked) environs. Leave how they do this to themselves, but ask for discretion.
-[X] Sling Varys over your shoulder, Teleport immediately with Dany and Vee to one of the secluded Heart Trees.
-[X] Examine Varys with Greater Arcane Sight before stripping him of all gear, wands, clothing, the lot, and then hit him with a Greater Dispel Magic at max caster level to remove any remaining wards. His Mind Blank item can remain - it will be removed by Vee for the moment it takes to cast Greater Dispel Magic.
--[X] During this process, Bloodwish Spontaneous Search and stack a Divine Insight onto the check to search Varys for any non-magical surprises. False teeth with poison/wildfire, etc.
-[X] Feed the Heart Tree sufficient sacrifices to open a safe passage and use the Staff of the Old Gods to Tree Stride to Bloodraven, where the aegis of the Old Gods might shield Varys' from the attempts of other Powers to scrub information from his mind.
--[X] "Uncle, I have brought a gift."
-[X] Interrogate with the full capacity of your magic (Mind Spider, etc.) and anything Uncle Brynden might suggest as well. If possible, have Vee help directly connect Varys to the Heart Tree so that the Old Gods can suck out his mind.

Lets do this right.

Except we want some info on Noodle's plans out of him. And Noodle is bound to wipe that info the moment he notices, and we have no way t omake his soul untouchable, except for putting it near another Deity.
