Already abstained, don't need to ask me anything.

Yeah, sorry about that, just saw your post after I hit send.

On second thought, pretending this is a scantiond op might be better than trying to brush this as nbd. Or scancioned op + nbd.

@DragonParadox you fluff power as being something percivable, but despite the level 7-9 spells bring thrown about, this was a very personal combat, no fireballs, roars or shadows of the Doom.

Basically, does the crowd look to know like they have an idea of the kinda shit that happened here, or could it well have been a few level 3 mages as far as they know?

@Duesal, prepare the parts of your list that relate to Noodle's operations and Timmie's fortress/forces.
Everything else we can pull out of him back home.

@Snowfire, add that after Sealord our people are to go deal with Varys' devil-tailors?
They are a priority to take out there, If I'm getting actual dangers there right.
Then to set up a meeting with... don't-remember-his-name for Azel.

Edit: on second though, we can leave him with uncle, and just ask for answers with the rest of those when we come to question Bloodraven some days later in this moth.
With a fruitbasket.

Whatever :V

Updated plan, with some fun dialogue:

[X] Plan Ravens eat Spiders
-[X] "Merely apprehending a heinous diabolist, ladies and gentlemen. Do not be..." well, no point bidding them not to be alarmed.
-[X] Leave Rhaella, Vee and Nuri behind. Nuri goes to the Silver Eye to report, Rhaella and Vee go to the Sealord to explain your actions with a promise for further explanation in more secure (mindblanked) environs.
-[X] Sling Varys over your shoulder, Teleport immediately with Dany to one of the secluded Heart Trees, feed it sufficient sacrifices to open the way and use the Staff of the Old Gods to Tree Stride to Bloodraven, where the aegis of the Old Gods might shield Varys' from the attempts of other Powers to scrub information from his mind.
--[X] "Uncle, I have brought a gift."
-[X] Strip Varys of all gear, wands, clothing, the lot, and then hit him with a Greater Dispel Magic at max caster level to remove any remaining wards.
--[X] Examine him under Greater Arcane Sight before casting the dispel.
-[X] Interrogate with the full capacity of your magic (Mind Spider, etc.) and anything Uncle Brynden might suggest as well. Bring in additional support as needed.

I just want to give Best Uncle a present!
Speaking of which, this is the perfect excuse for us to have a very long conversation and exchange intel with him. He can update us on Westerosi developments, we can tell him everything we've been up to off the plane, in Sothoryos, etc.

And of course I've been wanting to ask him about using the Ancient Green Dragon bones to make a guardian for the Tree of the Dawn Age.

Back to Spellbane for a moment. Next level when Viserys gains the ability to cast it, he'll have a total caster level of 20. That will give us four spells that we can prevent from functioning within 10 feet of Viserys.

One blocked should obviously be Mage's Disjunction (which I was really hoping didn't exist in this setting... :() and another should be Spellbane, to prevent others from negating our own Spellbane. That leaves two more spells we can block. I would argue that we should also block Antimagic Field; we can always dismiss the Spellbane effect if we need to use AMF ourselves, but otherwise, it can be a huge handicap if used against us.

What would be a fourth choice? Greater Dispel Magic would be a good choice, making it much more difficult for anyone to ever remove our buffs or suppress the effects of our magic items, but it would also prevent us from using the spell.

Meanwhile, in the home of @DragonParadox:

OH GOD NOT MORE INFODUMP WHYYYYYYYY

:V

Shivering Touch?

Kinda not the time, I think, we have yet to implicate Varys throughly, nor finished looting KL.
I think picking up the most important info, the sort that is under-the-threat-of-being-wiped, is the priority here.

The fourth one should be Shivering Touch, fucking obviously, because DP's just going around saying any WBL-o-mancer can just buy a couple wands of the Reached version.

Miss me with that shit.

@Takesis how is that poem a euphemism for Homosexuality? It wasn't written for that at all. If you yourself find that to resonate with homosexuality then that is your interpretation, not the author.

I don't particularly care about this specific example but the author's intention is not the source of truth, aren't a great many of the principles around the study of literature and other cultural works about teasing out the context and circumstances surrounding the work, yes even the author's own personal circumstances and motivations that may have influenced their work but not what they intended. What you intend and what you produce are never 1:1 in any field.

Any time he's even slightly in hte open, even for a moment, he's applicable to the same bullshit that wiped a lot of inportant information from Uniila.
We need him captured and questioned in a way that doesn't expose him to Noodle and Bitch Queen's influence.
Which seems finely done in Azel's 'plan'.
I'm not sure how serious was it suggested, but I am in full support of it nevertheless.

BOOOOK!!

Guys, if we're cramping all the questions in one go, both Bloodraven pack and Varys pack...
Well, we have some minor actions to check out.

[X] With the time of bigger battles coming ever closer, perhaps it is time to reconvene with your oldest living relative yet.
-[X] Treewalk and meet with BloodRaven yet again.
We have questions, like what he has in mind for that Ancient Green's bones, what's the strategic situation is from his PoV, etc.
--[X] Gift Bloodraven a fruit basket of exotic Sothoryos specimens such as Pineapples, Melons, Watermelons, Coconuts, Bananas, etc.
--[X] Particualr topic of the conversation is getting detailed understanding of divinity impaired upon mortals, if such can happen to us through mere worship by Imperium's populace, and what would such worship impart along hte way.

It shall be an infodump to surpass all prior infodumps!
And this... is.... to infodump...even further... beyond....
*Long scream of questions being asked*

Shivering Touch just seems prudent anyway. I wouldn't put it past DP to give it to the Others and the Winterborn.

Eh. I'm actually reasonably well prepared for this one, there is enough emotional weight to the information being imparted that I do not think there is much risk of it reading as a dry list.
Don't worry about that we can get the dry list from varys memories as well. Also we are looting kings landing stuff so we may get even more info loot. Then we get bloodraven knowledge and possibly old god blood raven knowledge and then we share all of our knowledge.

And drinks the sweet, sweet tears of our enemies as they lie turtled at our feet.

It always amuses me that Viserys and Dany view quite fondly one of the most abhorred and feared of the Targaryen dynasty.

Though in hindsight it shouldn't surprise anyone.

Maegor did nothing wrong, after all.

Brynden is simply misunderstood. :V

Finally back to regular internet access. Commenting as I read.
"I fight for those who have not the strength to take up arms," he answers. "For those ground down in the wars of fools and madmen..."
It's a wonder he is bleeding red, considering how full of shit he is.
Again the cold light flashes between the pale wand and the dark, but this time you are ready, not paying the price of stolen time. The scales stolen from Mammon's own hide surge around you, catching the curse and flinging it back, as a ray of winter sunlight in a gilded mirror turned. There it hangs suspended, struggling against Varys' wards for a timeless instant before you speak the word Lya had engraved into your signet, and by that sorcery at last the weapon of the enemy is turned against him.
Ah.... the sweet taste of superior WBL-mancy...
"The blood of the traitor will taste sweet," Dark Sister whispers in your thoughts, though she dutifully twists in your hand, striking him with the flat of her blade rather than the deadly edge. You have had enough foes who refuse to stay dead to know they must be captured alive.
Best part of this whole thing. Dark Sister finally being able to actually enjoy a fight.
A single glance downwards is enough to send a chill down your spine that had nothing to do with any lingering cold, a spell and seal of the ninth circle, no mere unraveling of magic but a seal that if unleashed would cut the threads of power all around it save what the bearer holds. That it could have cost you a fortune barely matters beside the fact that the son of a bitch could have killed Dark Sister likely beyond all recall.
...

Fine.

@Duesal, we won't need to curse his body. He won't have much of it left once we are done "securing" him.
