Consider me grateful beyond belief that he didn't have the chance to use that scroll. :o

@DragonParadox, is it okay if you give us a list of the items without the fluff text? I've been waiting in anticipation of this part for days.

Ahhh, sweet satisfaction. And we now have a scroll of fuck all your shit to use, when the need arises. Which it will.

I am more interested in this aspect of the spell.

"Note: Destroying artifacts is a dangerous business, and it is 95% likely to attract the attention of some powerful being who has an interest in or connection with the device."

Mammons skin is such an object. It is an artifact and had a chance to get wrecked.

@Duesal, @Azel?
Don't forget to make maps out of his skin when we'll be doing things to him.
He's sure to know some very, very important things' locations.

Quickly! Spin @Azel ! Spin like you've never spun before!

As far as making it up to the sealord... I'm sure he and the orphene court have their own methods of interrogation.

I'm sure the orphene court has some exceptionally effective methods as well.

Cause seriously I'm super nervous tiamat and Mammon are going to burn out all his fun secrets.

Fucking hell. Okay. First things first strip him of all magic. Then put him in a bottle and put him n our cloak. Our cloak is the safest place because of its nature. As it is an artifact made from the skin of Mammon it will be defended from all divine and devil influences.

Well, disjunction scroll, that would have been a hell of a way to make us pay for catching him. I can only imagine what even more horrible fate the thread would have doomed him to (somehow) if he killed Dark Sister.
Related, if people are going to be throwing around disjunction spells, maybe we might want to work on sufficient upgrades for Dark Sister and Oathkeeper to keep them alive, if possible?

Every time we try to get Lya practice with the runes people complain :V

Edit: also, nice work @DragonParadox ! That was a heart pounder.

Also holy cow was he effective.

Can we get started on making that defense against disjunction that you were talking about?

Requires Epic Spellcasting, and even then, it probably wouldn't protect our items directly. The point of a Mythal effect is to bind a shit-ton of buffs to it, that will just lol-nope anything but Superb Dispelling. This means that in the event of a Disjunction, our buffs don't fail, and our items have the benefit of our fully buffed will save. There are...technically a few other ways around it, but they're suspect. Theoretically, you could create an Epic Spell Immunity spell that applied even to 9th level spells, bind it to the Mythal and use it to screen out Disjunction (Epic beats non-Epic every time). It doesn't protect you from Superb Dispelling, true, but I'm pretty sure that Epic Level Spell Scrolls don't exist, so...

Here's a list of his wands and scrolls for now, leaving the permanent items for tomorrow. Those are the ones which should have some character.

Wand Bracer (Swift action to draw):

1. Resilient Sphere (41 Charges)
2. Reach Shivering Touch (32 Charges) x2
3. Dimension Door (47 Charges)
4. True Casting (43 Charges)

Scrolls:
Heart of Water (3)
Heart of Air (3)
Heart of Fire (3)
Heart of Earth (3)
Divine Insight (4)
Air of Nobility (2)
Greater Mage Armor (3)
Passwall (5)
Teleport (2)
Greater Spell Immunity [CL 16] (1)
Conviction (3)
Superior Resistance (3)
Disjunction (1)

It really is too bad he never got to face off against someone without a dragon's SR. Those 6d6 Dex damage from getting hit by two shivering touch spells have been the bane of many a great foe.

We wanted to upgrade both of them anyway. This only gives us more reason to do so. On a side benefit, we get to use the practice to upgrade Lya's runecrafting.

A single glance downwards is enough to send a chill down your spine that had nothing to do with any lingering cold, a spell and seal of the ninth circle, no mere unraveling of magic but a seal that if unleashed would cut the threads of power all around it save what the bearer holds. That it could have cost you a fortune barely matters beside the fact that the son of a bitch could have killed Dark Sister likely beyond all recall.

Yes, that, do that now please.

This thing horrifies me.

Well then.

Scrolls for the Scroll Collection.

On a side note, @Snowfire, is Lya's spellbook safe from Disjunction?

it will be defended from all divine and devil influences.
Will it be, though?
I'm not sure if we had our runelore back when making it, and although Mammon broke of all connection to it...
It's "but" a really powerful artifact now, not a divine pocket where other deities can't look into.

@everyone, should we visit Orphne court now and find that shadow-spinner, getting 2 god-connection-breakers from him?
We probably can afford them no matter the change in pricing.
And securing Garin from Burny has been a long dreamed thing of mine.

You know, there's part of me that's actually kinda glad that I pulled off the first use of Disjunction in this thread in a HT omake, so that the sheer explosive salt over this wasn't quite so bad. I mean, I could be wrong in that suspicion, but given the reaction I got when Viserys used it there, I feel like it got some stuff out of the way :V

We're kind of in the middle of other things. We need to finish up in King's Landing with the Little Birds and Baelish and whatnot, and then we still need to deal with Melisandre.

Also, it should be said, excellent fight DP. Varys lived up to the hype by being damn canny and ridiculously hard to pin down, even for us.
I greatly enjoyed this.

Well we can ask DP. @DragonParadox does the cloak protect its contents from all influences both divine and diabolic? Such as...say keeping Varys in the bottle without his patrons pulling him out?

From all remote influence, if some cleric or mage got a hold of it the contents could be extracted at leisure. That said the cloak is probably the safest place you can put anything in Viserys' possession.

Adding on to the spellbook issue? If it is vulnerable the easiest way to save it is to slap it with a Contingency of
If: In area of effect of Disjunction,
Then: Plane Shift to extraplanar safehouse.
