Was the Unravelling a major artifact? For all intents and purposes it did the same thing as I am suggesting or am I missing something here? I mean either way I want to make one but does something like this would count as a major artifact?
 
So I've been watching this quest for like over a year, it's the only thing I follow on SV, and I'm de-lurking to point out someone needs to put some kind of adamantine cart in the crafting schedule for Malarys to cart his giant pair of balls in.

The Unraveling couldn't totally separate a God from their mojo invested, and in fact allowed Tiamat to try to shape a shard of Dany's soul into an Evil DoppleDany.

And it had to be used directly after being taken out of a lead box, on a willing subject.

So no, it's not the same thing.

Usually it'd split the soul into a part that had to fulfill the contract and one free to go - iirc. Dany cheated by merging the splits by accepting her 'dark' half.

All right in that case something I want but something that will take time and god knows what materials it needs.

The reason we kept it in a lead box (well, one reason) was that it could be activated accidentally, so it didn't really need a willing subject.

We even talked about throwing it in Damphair's face back then.

this is our artifact I swear to god if she gets away with it. I am going to make her die in the most painful ways. I'd make a contract with mammon to have her taken into his court of depravity.

I'm kinda wondering how long Melisandre has been waiting here and how she knew we'd show up. I mean we've had our Mind Blank for a while so she couldn't have divined our intentions any time recently. So either she's seen our actions years in advance has been waiting here for us to show up, or found this Orb and expected us to be resourceful and competent enought to find and approach the Orb without tipping Tiamat off.

Her jackass god told her where we would be. Unfortunately Mindblank is like a small paper mâché wall compared to the power of gods. So she could have been there for all of a day.
