I wonder what archery contest looks like. I hope it's a large targeting field with a variety of targets and features to truly test the skills of the user.

I'm taking moving targets, targets in cover/behind shields/wearing armor/etc, environmental factors like heavy wind or fog, and stuff all like that.

Considering they regularly use summons on the arena fights, it's entirely within our capability to do all of that without direct supervision,

I guess I could intersperse it with action from Lya's group if you guys don't mind the action being in the group you don't directly control

We spent days on things like Rina's mental health, which for me was a drag, I'd very much appreciate if you spent a lot more time on the festival and the ripple effects in all its forms, something that is way bigger.

Take all week if you need to.

There's more badassery in Lyanna Mormont's pinky toe than there is in all the South.

My name is Oberyn Martell. You killed my sister. Prepare to die.

My name is Richard Lonmouth, Knight of Skulls and Kisses. I shall see the Dragon triumph, my ancestral lands returned to me, and a whole lotta sashimi !

Etc, etc. The south is full of badasses. Northerners just like talking shit about foreigners while they bugger each other in a cold dark cellar in the middle of winter.
Inbred, goatfucking hicks.
> House Targaryen prevails !

Also, @Goldfish:
  • I dislike your Enchanter build on principle. Our Sorcerers are the blood of the Dragon, taught by Viserys Targaryen himself!
  • Still, making builds is your right, and these guys will only be relevant in Omakes so I can write whichever built I want, anyway.
  • I do agree with TNE though. +2 DC is excessive.
  • Be aware of carry capacity before you make everyone wear massive armor!

What do you think the chances are that Tywin sends the Mountain in an effort to both win V Steel for his house as well as try to upstage our festival? The idea being that we would obviously not violate guest right, even for something like this.

My question would be whether we'd let Oberyn take a shot at him in the Fights or if we'd just immediately murder him in the middle of the night.

I think that that would be a "well it's time to enter ourselves" moment. We might come in ourselves to do what we do.

Pfft, send in Ser Richard. I'm sure he have some maneuvers to stun lock the Mountain in place before he makes literal mincemeat of that guy.

I mean, one of them keeps fighting against the worst the planes can send, while the other kills helpless peasants. I'm sure which one is higher level.

Star Wars shatter point does need to be used more.

Mors sounds like the kind of guy I would like to equip with some good gear (perhaps for winning the melee tournament?), then use Lya's new Cyclic Reincarnation spell on. We want to save some of the Wildlings, but a lot of them need killing and Mors would probably enjoy that immensely, especially if he can do so as a young man.
Mors is a hardcore wildling-hater who wouldn't accept working with them even in the face of the Long Night coming.
Might change if we get his daughter, but until then I think he might be one of those problematic people who would prefer to see all the wildlings as zombies in the Other's armies just so he can kill them again over letting any go south.

Depends on what he enters.
In the melee we can kill him, or let someone like Oberyn kill him, without much issue.

If he jousts he propably won't die in the tourney and I would prefer to sink his ship on the way home.

Hey, do we have some show fightings planned for festival? Like, Waymar against Richard, Viserys versus first places together, Tyene with her whip against someone else?

Not to use high-level magic as it's usually too destructive for non-lethal fights but something to show personal might of Companions? I think it would be better to leave only defensive buffs in place, may be add some contingencies to heal them up.

All with running commentary "This move Waymar Royce used to fry an Aspect of Lord of Third Hell", "King will refrain from using his magic as it will leave only fire and stone in place".

@DragonParadox, if we find a piece of Robert somewhere in King's Landing (like the whorehouse we're standing it that Robert frequents quite often), will you let us use our Yss Staff to cast a no-save Greater Curse on Robert to make every bit of alcohol he touches automatically turn into water?

Because it's Greater Curse, nothing short of Wish or Miracle will break it. And since we're talking about an eighth level spell, it should definitely have enough power to mess with his wine 24/7.

Seriously? You could make him incapable of acting 75% of the time or reduce his Int to 1 (RAW effects of greater curse) and instead you just ruin his wine?
Amazing.

How about this?
  1. To Robert, alcohol tastes as piss
  2. Robert now suffers from severe erectile pain (not dysfunction, pain)
  3. The Emblem of House Targaryen appears on his forehead, heart and ass. They can be hidden with illusions, but not broken with tattoos, other brands, or even cutting the flesh beneath.
  4. Robert knows that any failed attempt to break this curse will reduce his Int to 1 for a year

Between stealing his favorite whorehouse, his wine stash, and his ability to ever enjoy wine again, this is a great plan. :D

Torturing him is fun, but let's not lose perspective here.

Our main goal is the Spider. Stealing the brothel underneath Robert's nose (if the Madame is amenable to it of course) or any curses against him is just gravy.

Bird in the hand and all that rot.

Hell the minute we take out Varys the flimsy house of cards he crafted from ClF3 is going to go up in flames so hard that the resulting blaze will make the entire collective batch of wildfire we disposed of look like wet roman candles.

At that point all we really need to do is go back home, pull up a scrying mirror, and enjoy the daytime soaps while we have brunch.

Frankly, I'm hoping that we got enough intel on the Tiamat and Mammon portions of his intrigues to tie him a few nooses out of it. Best case, we start a bitch-fight between the noodle and grandma, with Varys being torn to shreds in the middle of it.

Varys screaming as his soul is literally torn to shreds as the two beings he thought he was smart enough to cheat divide him up like property during a messy divorce?

You couldn't ask for a sweeter lullaby.

Aww, I think they're neat. :(

The reasoning behind the heavy Fey influence in them follows the idea that there was obviously a great deal of interaction between the Fey and Humanity in the distant past, leading to some intermingling of blood. When their magic awakened, the Sorcerers expressed their Fey heritage just as those with a Draconic heritage did.

I don't know if they'll be that irrelevant, though. DP rolled, or simply selected at random, the distribution of powers among our current batch of Sorcerers and came up with this;
14x Sorcerers lvl 1 (7 Battle Mage 7 Enchanter)
17x Sorcerers lvl 2 (11 Battle Mage 3 Enchanter)
8x Sorcerers lvl 3 (6 Battle Mage 2 Enchanter)
1x Sorcerers lvl 4 (Battle Mage)
1x Sorcerers lvl 5 (Battle Mage)
They're not all that relevant yet, but that will change soon enough when some of them start reaching 4th and 5th level and we can reasonably send them on low priority or threat missions. They may or may not be of use when dealing with Westerosi Fey, too.

I reduced the capstone 6th level ability to +1 DC/+2 caster level for a single Enchantment spell. And being Sorcerers without any special features or feats to make wearing armor practical, there won't be any issue with armor exceeding their carrying capacity.

Sorry, dude, but that's just unacceptably wasteful, though fun to think about. As Talon pointed out, there are much, much better options to inflict on someone using Greater Curse. Even then, it would be a waste to use so many charges on Robert.

  • [X] Ask more questions
-[X] King's Landing infodump, please? Rumors, plots, etc.; anything Chataya knows which may be useful to us in ferreting out Varys, especially in relation to his schedule.
    [X] Ask more questions
-[X] Detailed information on what exactly Robert, Cersei, and Jon have been doing, both politically and personally.
-[X] Is Robert fat and drunk or is he still swole? Is Cersei sleeping around or actually have magic? Is Jon's health failing, does he still have a terrible judge of character? How have they been reacting to us, and the rise of magic in general? Etc.

I'm not really sure what to do about Ned. Without Robert and Jon dying without proof we did it, sending them to the Wall is basically the only way we'll be able to have a relationship with Ned that isn't absolutely bitter. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he Walled himself in outrage, or waited until Robb was old enough to rule and then did that.
We should be able to Wall at least Jon, and we can make sure Robert get what he would consider a good death(maybe capture him, and give him a trial by combat against Ser Richard, he's near assured to lose, but dying in a duel, is 1 of the 2 ways Robert approve of dying)
Mors is a hardcore wildling-hater who wouldn't accept working with them even in the face of the Long Night coming.

Well if he turn out to be a PC, and he accepts cyclic reincarnation, we can promise him, that if he earns enough on one of our B-teams, not only will we retrieve his daughter if she's alive, we will provide resurrection for all his children, as soon as he has collected the money to pay for it.
Depends on what he enters.

People do die in the Joust, I'm sure with the right buffs to his riding skills, Richard could arrange for that to happen to the Mountain.
I just want to make his life a living hell.

Personally I'm against that, Robert is already a broken man, there's no need to torture him more, he has to die of course, but we don't need to make him suffer.

We should literally steal the entire brothel.

Make it our thing.

2d10 on a charge?

Yeah, yeah.

If he tries to kill him no problems.

Though the crowd might not appreciate it.

edit:
Though people will ask why we didn't use alter fortune/close wounds save him. Like we do for the people we like and are unlucky enough to get accidentally murdered.
