I'd say close the vote, seems settled and leaving it open overnight will just salt things up.

It's just that reversing it in this manner, utterly destroy her life, I would prefer to just dissolve it, instead of declaring legally it never happened, and so she had sex out of wedlock making her a slut, and she is borderline criminal since her marriage was declared illegal.
That's pure alarmism and trying to turn this into a emotional matter, but it is a legal one.

You are setting up a inconsistent ruling which is ridiculously bad for the legitimacy of our laws.

First, you want to say that what she did was all ok, since it's legally a grey area.
Then, you want to pass a law with the exact opposite content, saying that what she did was totally illegal.

This is bad on so many levels...

The matter's moot now, but can we please not hold open a vote when it's completely one sided, there's been lots of debate, and there's only one notoriously stubborn person still arguing? That's just obnoxious.

Hey my reputation isnt that bad... :V

Also your hurtful words are behind the curve. Read the comments.

Edit: Rampant sexism and paranoia fueled angry mobs will be an issue once were actually in Westeros.

Fortunately were in essos now.

But they will come for us. They are waiting.

iffy precedent. There's a balance to strike between letting the minority have thier say and allowing them to grind things to a halt until they are appeased. I've been on both sides of this particular annoyance in this very thread on several occasions. I've even seen at least one occasion where given sufficient time, one very stubborn person shouting for hours was able to turn things around. It's a case by case sort of thing, I think. Next time you might be the one stubborn person, you know?

You realize he wasn't the only one that disliked that part of the vote right? I argued against it too before putting my phone down in disgust at this stupid precedent. There were others that voted against just that part as well it just doesn't matter trying to argue once the bandwagon has gathered steam, there's no changing the vote then unless you convince @Azel to edit his own vote.

Ain't that how it's done in real life? Someone do something that is legal, but the government believe should be illegal, the person who did it isn't punished as it was legal, but the law is changed so in the future it's illegal.

That's how finding loopholes work, someone find a loophole, they use it for something, if it was a legitimate loophole they get away with it as it was legal, but the loophole is then closed as while it was legal, it wasn't something actually meant to be legal, it was just an issue that hadn't come up before.

The judge rules according to the current law, the legislation looks at those rulings, and then when they see a ruling that was clearly legal, but they believe shouldn't have been legal, they change the law so it isn't legal in the future.

"I humbly ask for patronage as your House has given in generations past."

Ask the Old Gods, who are our business partners, if
A) a church of the Seven in this part of the world would be an acceptable circumstance, since we're pretty much going to demolish then in Westeros.
B) what do they want more - restitution or revenge?

...and to think I thought it would be the septon who will be the point of contention here...
:/

Edit: Crazy Demon'ed. Damn it!

I tried to hold it open for half an hour at the most, and there were people who sounded as if they at least partly supported me, I hardly tried to hold the vote open for hours with no support.

It's not impossible to turn a bandwagon around, it's just hard, and the less important what the bandwagon is the harder it is, as if the vote isn't that important, fewer follow the discussion after voting, and so fewer are around to change their vote.
She will not be a social pariah, in fact she might even gain a bit of social credit among certain circles. After all it's established she managed to make deals with the fey.
In that case the matter isn't worth debating, although I hope this don't become a precedent, that makes annulments as opposed to divorces easier, as annulments in most case will have worse consequences than divorces.

We have three left over from last month and the scribing schedule has 20 more on it that will be ready before the expedition departs.

When does the expedition depart and is there any chance of making a couple Umbral Spies to send with them? This is literally what they are made for.

Edit:

This is a months long voyage easily. He can join next month if he wants.

I suppose we can drop them off midway through either way.

Kinda of funny the focus of the arguments wasn't the Seven.

But then again, the thread is always up to shake someone's faith :V

Nah, this vote didn't actually have a decision regarding the septon in it, just a fun bit of speechifying and a request for additional info.
The next update though? That one might be a doozy.

The thread has decided to fuck the faith in its current form like a serving girl. We just need an alternative so the "lords" can stop whining about our lack of piety. Bitch we are most pious man alive. Look at how many gods we have.

Yeah, it honestly doesn't matter. We're going to be teleporting to them pretty regularly throughout their voyage so we can diplomance all the various kingdoms on the way.

DP said that the ingredients are too rare to just pick up at the corner reagent shop. We should be going to the Opaline Vault on the 6th, which is tomorrow in-quest time. While there, we can place a special order through our contacts. If they get back to us in time, we should be able to craft at least a couple Umbral Spies.
