@Duesal They will get more complex on their own. People, even Fey, have agency, so they will of course seek to expand their power and influence and show initiative.

@Snowfire I like the plan.

Kind of reminds me that she's obstinately doubled down at every turn whenever we've removed a peg beneath her. Maybe we should be pointing out how idiotic she is for treating both us and the "silly humans" as idiots who have a short term memory of "less than a minute"?

Oh, excellent. :)

Then we can hand Valyrian Steel weapons to the party being sent into the Feywild if we wanted.

@DragonParadox, how does the development of Fey Courts work? Thus far under our direct control we have Glyra who's sworn to Dany and the Queen Rhaella who's sworn to us. Will they just naturally get bigger and more complex courts/troupes or will we need to do something to aid the process?

They will naturally get larger.

Funny to think that a Griffon can actually grow to the size of an adult dragon, but in hindsight it makes the tales of the Griffon King vs the Giant Eagle riding Arryn seem like a more impressive match-up, doesn't it?

@Duesal Monster advancement, remember? DP uses a site for it.

It can be done deliberately without it when building encounters, obviously, but that just means having access to the SRD.

Do griffons just take racial HD or is it done through getting class levels?
I don't think your average INT 6 griffin is smart enough for most class HD, so just RHD.

Magical Beast is decent enough. Besides, we should be training our (non-Air Infused) Griffons and Hippogriffs and Riding Dogs into Warbeasts, so that's one out of the way. Or at least that's what Vee's supposed to be doing when she spends all her time in the menagerie.

It speaks poorly of you to offer one truth, and then speak against it in the next breath." In simple terms, don't talk about what you don't understand. And by her words she's just implied that she's more understanding of mortals than we, when we were born one, and having just said before that as half dreaming they do not understand mortals fully.
-[X] "Even these last words betray you. Must I remind you of the question that was asked? Would one bargaining in good faith not answer me fairly, instead of appealing to those I thought were your allies?" Direct attack on her inconsistency.
-[X] "So I say to you again. You have given me many reasons why you desire the crown, but none why I should indulge you." Lean forward, not menacingly, but the intent is to be resolute. "These waters are mine, Lady. What lies within them is mine too, by right and custom. We are not debating the merits of rulership unknown since before the Age of Heroes and my own, standing in defence of mortalkind against any who would threaten it." We actually are, but we're not giving her time to answer, and our framing makes it very clear which has more in the way of recent success. It's also totally not a threat.
-[X] "So, if I let you have this crown, what shall I get in turn? Would your lord and his court be willing to swear itself to a mortal lord of the skill and character needed to ensure that your assurances about the benefits come to pass?" I am deliberately repeating this. Given how DP likes to play the Fae, she should be able to guess where we're going with this. If she refuses to answer a second time, I'm going for thrice and done.
-[X] If she now proposes to swear to Mace Tyrell, just snort and calmly explain to her that you are not reassured. Either Mace is an idiot for missing the implications of this bargain or he is an idiot for thinking a independent Fey realm carved from the lands of his bannermen is a good idea.

[X] "You ask Lord Redwyne to choose." Address him: "Would you prefer Fey overlords who sought to gain dominion over the Reach by stealth, trickery and enchantment? Or Rhaella's son, Lord of House Targaryen which has always stood in defense of mankind and what is right against the powers from Beyond?"

I still think we need to expressly address her claims that the Fey would seldom visit the Reach, as we know they have been extremely active there, and that it is in their nature to meddle for no other purpose than to amuse themselves.
Yeah also point out that just because she wouldn't thrive in a castle, don't mean there aren't Fae who would, so that argument was a load of Hogwash, Fey aren't nature spirits as a whole, some of them are, some of them are spirits of civilization, and some are spirits of yet other things, you can't expect them to nicely keep to just living in forests and other wild places, only occasionally interacting with civilization, Glyra is a good example of this, she's a city Fey, so she show that yes there are Fey, who would love to settle down in your castle.

Man, I love reading about having a trickster type character on the ropes for pretty much the entire conversation.

We just dominate social combats, not even because of overwhelming charisma and skill ranks, though that plays a part, but just out maneuvering and leaving no room for recovery or excuses with write-ins.

Choke on your overweening pride, enemies.

Let's make sure we don't make the same mistake.

Would love to see the reactions of everyone here. Our people and Reacher lords get to see Viserys in action. How often do Theon and Asha get to see that? Its beautiful.

Eh, it's us accepting no bullshit, and pointing out deflections.

When the opposition mostly only does bullshit and deflection, it looks pretty tight, yes.
