Does our seeress Gudrun Ravensight need help with things in particular given these new lands?

Oh, that does remind me, on the front of communal survival, we should probably work on making a store of durable, shelf-stable food to keep on the ships, so that we our little settlement gets over-run with mouth trees or hostile crabs or whatever, we can bug out and sail somewhere else up or down the coast.

Gudrun is quite busy setting up points of contact with the local spirits, which she describes as 'ornery'.

They want blood, lots of it. Though that might just be the spirit she's talking to, as it keeps trying to run off any others she contacts.

If you can get her that blood, she'd be quite pleased with you.

[X] Ragnarr will spend his remaining action this season on trying to learn the local tongue from the elder and the boy found by the Western Expedition.

This is a reminder that we should have at least a couple Good Fighters taking on guard duty this season.

[X] Oddr's 2nd Action: Once the plants have been poked, spend the rest of the season watching the site's borders and ready a shot if anything doesn't look right.

If you wanted to use the sails off the ships, quite a bit. Enough for everyone to have some spare clothes, though it would deprive you of the sails.
What about just the children? They are out most vulnerable.

Though to be fair since I did go for the Awareness perk

[X] 2nd action: Agnes sternly holds her husband to watch their children while she goes on Guard Duty.

OK, since I don't really have the time to do a fine adventure this turn.. Moli Spotlight will

[X] Help with building up houses for the Settlement, so we don't wreck our ships staying in them.

and

[X] Guard Duty/Patrol for threats (with anyone else?) so our defenceless asses don't get jumped by the gribblies.

Guys tentative names for the land we see ourselves in
Flordheim :)
Vinland (saga)
Bláland (thinking this is Africa)
The South West IDK

Edit: Realized that we could eventually have Vikings fighting Wendigos

I decided to make a character for the next season

Runa Vemontounge Age 16 (1PT Cooking 1PT Poison Kunna 1PT Iron Stomach Bloodline)

As one of the only people with an appreciable skill in cooking, Runa has taken it upon herself to become the camp cook much to the horror of everyone. While normally a nice kind young lady always willing to help her neighbors out, when it comes to cooking she becomes one of the most vicious and domineering people around. This is compounded by what her idea of edible food is. Since her family bloodline allows her to eat almost anything and come out fine she likes to experiment in the kitchen. She then gives these experimental dishes out to unsuspecting victims to taste test. The test subjects would almost certainly die without Runa pulling out the poison from them with her Kunna.

Just to double check, it was me, Harald, Torgarr, Njal Ulfson, Gefjosa, and possibly Liv who were the one who fought the mouth-tree, right?

Yeah fair enough I guess, five norse, most of whom have a distinct type-advantage against plant-type monsters, probably was more than that mouth-tree was prepared for.

You would probably know that trick since you already have the Kunna. I'd recommend using that PT for something else, perhaps a martial-style around farming.

Also a lot of PCs are farmers might want to join their clan or make a new one with a few of the other independent players

Edit: @Nando @Guest99 Can I join yall clan? I have Moli as a maternal cousin but would it be cool if Valo's dad is like an uncle?
Yeah, I'm fine with that.

As for Gunnar's action, I'm going to scout North, towards the mountain. Gunnar has a good feeling about finding some land suitable for raising goats on. He heads off alone, confident in his speed to keep him out of the jaws of whatever nasties dwell in this new land.

[X] Gunnar journeys north on his own, trusting in his senses to warn him of danger, and in his legs and bloodline to let him evade or, Fates willing, kill whatever beasts or other hazards undoubtedly dot this land.

@wrecksalot @Starman @Sivantic @Shard @Alectai

As you five are all on guard duty, it is you who are awake and aware of the loud, stomping sound trundling towards the base. It's been a month or two since landfall and you've carved out something of a home here, in between dealing with the local wildlife anyhow.

Now, some of the wildlife have gotten curious.

The world around the monstrosity seems heavier, like its mere presence has a side-effect on gravity.

What do you do?
