Could we ask it about other systems of cultivation? Like how Christian Spirits (Holy or otherwise) cultivate? (After)

So, here's talking as a plan:

[X] Plan We Just Want To Talk
-[X] Say that we don't want to kill it or take it anywhere, we want to talk to it peaceably and receive information. We desire knowledge. We are willing to make deals as well, if it would like anything specific.
-[X] If it agrees, see if it's willing to discuss its own history, nature, preferences, and abilities, and maybe some stuff about other Cultivation systems.

I think specific questions wait until we have an agreement in principle, but no sense not adding some possibilities.

Hmmm, the implied backstory is interesting here. There's an entirely empty village with one smith working a cold forge. Perhaps the whole village were killed in a raid or something, and the smith was trying to make a weapon to avenge them, and ended up putting his will and perhaps his life force into a cold-forged blade? Revenge is a dish best served cold and all that.

Just idle guessing, but it's an interesting one to ponder.

[X] "Honestly, I just wanted to talk."

Personally, I prefer short and sweet for votes like this, but Deadman's is good too.

Plausibly, but they'd need to somehow own property, based on our understanding that you need to cultivate on your own ship or farm.
not so sure. Humans need to own property to cultivate. I doubt realized objects cultivate like humans, not any more then Fenriskin or trolls. which of course means we can't just show Sagaseeker how to cultivate, but the possibility remains for him to learn

I think it'd be helpful to offer something in exchange for knowledge as an opener, but I'm struggling to come up with anything aligned with its desire to stay as it is

I'm not sure it wants knowledge. Whatever it wants, clarifying we're willing to make a deal will hopefully result in it telling us what it desires in that regard.

Ultimately we're willing to exchange knowledge of how and why it was forged in return for sending it back to christian lands, right?

Yes. Well, I'd hope there'd be more to that deal, on both sides, but I think we're willing to return it to Christian lands in exchange for information, yeah.

The sword is probably not an Odr cultivator though.

No. It probably is a Zeal cultivator, though, and if so and it's also Realized it'd serve as proof of concept that Realized weapons can manage internal cultivation resources.

Do we know what style is the village built in? Does it seem more like an English village, a Norse village, etc?

With the sword talking abaout "returning to whence it came" i have the impression it is a Demon or Fallen Angel who escaped Hell in some way.

It sorta depends at what level of detail you're looking at, I think?

From broad strokes, there are going to be a lot of obvious similarities between an Anglo-Saxon and a Norse settlement in the 9th century. Both cultures use similar agricultural toolkits, live in similar geography, have a similar cultural heritage, and social organisation oriented around households of free men who can bear arms, and their extended kinship groups and some free or enslaved labourers. But if you're a specialist in the period you'd also probably notice some subtle differences, especially after the adoption of Christianity and some time for a bit of cultural divergence. Probably slightly divergent architectural styles and distinctive styles of goods.

The biggest one I expect would be that in Anglo-Saxon settlements of this periods there's going to be a church, shrine or some other kind of Christian religious site in a place of prominence as a focal point for the community. In Norse cultures we might expect this to be a pagan temple instead, although my mostly-uninformed impression is these were not always sited in the same way in relation to settlements? But then again quite often churches were on the sites of old pagan cemeteries or holy sites, so even that might not be completely obvious if you were just looking at a satellite image or having a brief overview.

So we could probably tell if we poked around a bit, but it's easy to see why it might not be obvious to Halla just from her glance around the village right now.

'It works by connecting to something called a 'magnetosphere',' he hums to himself as a light frown graces his 'features'. 'This was once explained to me by a friend in my youth, a friend whose name now escapes my traitorous memory.'
Magnets are magic confirmed?
... Does this mean we can do electromagnetic stuff, once lightning hugreida is earned?
... How hard is it to earn a normal magnetism one?
Blackhand 'shrugs', 'Like I said, I don't know. I think it has something to do with the little flame, but I'm not well-versed with that either.'
... Little flame...
Alright.... so, who bets there are actual aliens who masqueraded as gods at some point in NQ verse? :V

Anyways:
"Ȟey, Blackhand, what is this little flame you mentioned? First time i hear about it."
Despite the obvious effort the smith is giving his work, no progress can be made with a cold, unfired forge. He doesn't seem to care, though, given the way his hammer rises and falls in an unceasing tempo.
Hm...
And he has no mind, huh? Was he the original weilder of the sword, perhaps? or just who sealed this spirit into it?
