I think that you may be jumping to conclusions about Hisvir. All the evidence pointing to Hasvir playing that role still stands. There's no reason to assume that Hisvir's absence equates to his being Horra's vessel of revenge.Shame that apparently the one we thought was Horra's Fuck You button was actually not and the actual Fuck You button escaped everyone's notice until he could do a runner, annoying.
Oh yeah, Halla isn't part of a warband or raid group right now.
He might not even be aware that his family survived Horra's final vengeance. If he is, he could be too ashamed to show his face and/or afraid of Drysalt to return. Locating him, perhaps through use of Seidr, may very well be a good use of our time.
Okay, this downright perplexes me, because back when we killed that kid on the ice, Steinarr was concerned enough about the (four cows and their calves) wergild that he went back out raiding. Based on our own experience, however, being an excellent farmer with a thriving farm should mean that you're fabulously wealthy, and that kind of a cost ought to be relatively trivial. Was he just constantly hanging out charity or something?'I know it's rich coming from me, but Steinarr is a freak of nature. He's possibly the best farmer I have ever seen and that is including actual farming gods.'

I guess he needed some hard cash to get more cows? It doesn't matter how good a farmer you are if your existing stock aren't having babies. Or your calves haven't grown yet and you need them producing.Okay, this downright perplexes me, because back when we killed that kid on the ice, Steinarr was concerned enough about the (four cows and their calves) wergild that he went back out raiding. Ahahaha.. yeah, that's going to be exciting, alright. Also home to the Skirsvikingar and likely Reidar Swordfury. It's gonna be an interesting visit.
As a note, I don't think Blackhand approves of Warbands. He was silent when Eric was beaming in pride at becoming a Stoneson of the Kyrsvikingar, and he disdains Steelfathers. All Warbands (that survive for any amount of time) are led by Steelfathers. She'd need to be part of the Kyrsvikingar specifically before Eric would be allowed to share their secret combat tactics.
That's... Wow.I know it's rich coming from me, but Steinarr is a freak of nature. He's possibly the best farmer I have ever seen and that is including actual farming gods.'
He is smart huh? Perhaps shy as well? There's something off about him, Eldjarn, something eerily familiar in how he observes the world around him. Watching, waiting, learning. He's only a baby, yet his potential is more than self-evident.
....'I've had some suspicions towards your brother's wife, Minna, for some time now. Specifically towards her ancestry. You should make a point of spending time with her, see if she's willing to let anything slip.'
Heh, it's that clear to everyone, huh?"Damn, girl, you've got it bad."
"I do not!" He hides his face in his drink as you splutter and flail.
Lol."Look," you try and fail to compose yourself as Eric struggles to keep from laughing, "Abjorn is just really, really-"
"What am I 'really, really'?" You choke on your spit and fall from your chair as Abjorn just fucking appears behind you.
Shapecrafting is nuts."We found two draugar in his quarters, both showing spear wounds, exact same spot, center of the skull." Hasvir taps himself right between the eyes. "Hirkir is the only man I know who can pull off that level of precision while surprised. He's alive, just not here."
...oh."Not great, no." Hasvir sighs, rubbing at his eyes. "Turns out, when a living person is made into a draugar, it results in their souls being consumed to fuel the draugar. Or at least that's how Horra set it up to happen."
Hey tha- ah, shard already said it.Hod makes to say something rude, but Hasvir cuts him off. "Thanks for the offer, but we're a bit too busy right now for that. As for your other question, Wolfwind took them back to Vestfold, said that he didn't want his daughter-in-law and future grandchildren in Drysalt's line of fire."

If Darkest Dungeon has taught me anything, it's that you never want to run out of torches.
Hmm, out of curiosity if Halla were to be a tutor in combat how valued at it would she be given that most of her stuff is just the basics that can be taught without swearing any secrets?
Might be something to start testing the waters over, being renowned as a good teacher is a good bit of rep to have, especially with the Drysalt thing spinning up meaning the actual best of the best are going to be busy doing counterplay.
On an unrelated note!
Focus Guard! That's exactly what we need to make better use of Mire Ward, we're already immobile in that state!

Your Maximum Combat Dice Pool is 58d6 (38d6 from stats and skills, costing you 34 Orthstirr to reach, and 19d6 from equipment)
No... not even that. When a Viking truly dies, all that is left behind are the remnants of their stories and sagas....oh.
Rest in peace, unnamed farmhands and thralls.
May you find rest in the afterlife.
Halla Drengmaker*Sniff*
I am so happy Great Teacher Halla is going to be a thing!
To be read literally and metaphorically *
