[X] Leave now

I think we should keep the owl watching them until they go into the sanctum and see what they say, but we need to get out and get out now and definitely not have it try and follow them in.

Also...there's an elephant draugr?! What.

Still no reason why not to visit her and iirc "the debtor will come asking when they need your favor" stuff was later, when the livestocks were disused. My memory is spotty though.

There were a wealth of reasons not to wander into the woods to the Witch's place of power once she knew to prepare for Blackhand. Like, that's just asking for her to try and curse or control us. If the expectation was we proactively paid her back, we might've gone anyway, but as it wasn't we didn't.

Also, keep in mind, we do not know who she sold the debt so saying it was Horra can cause assuptions that will, again, come back to bite us later.

We don't even know she sold it. It might've been her actively behind the attack. But we know it wasn't the Enemy, and Horra has Troll connections, so I'd say he's the most likely suspect.

No evidence of the sun weapons, that's disappointing.

I bet they're being made back at his actual farm. They aren't illegal in and of themselves, after all...unlike the draugr.

Can we take a draugar skull when we leave, for evidence?

We shouldn't. That would leave evidence we've been here. We're better off just informing the Thing about this place.

We've already seen enough that unless the jarl is completely out of his goddamn mind, he's going to want to investigate, and declaring Horra an outlaw and generally fucking him up seems the likely consequence.

Good enough.

He is, but not overmuch. He seems almost... giddy?

...

I don't like that, I don't like this at all

We might actually want to stick around, because that's the expression of a man who thinks he's about to win.

Especially when this is coupled with a dude who we know is a badass, but looks like he's been wrung over a barrel anyway. If he's about to turn Wolfwind into a fleshcrafted abomination. He won't need to do all this cloak and dagger, he can just Straight Up Win through main force. Which explains why his guard is so down.

Man. A shame that we didn't get any hard evidence from this. Would we still be able to convince the Jarl to raid this place because of all the draugr inside?

Honestly, now that I look at it, it feels like Horra's preparing to take over the entire Valley, not just kill us.

Shame about the storage room, but better not risking it. We already have enough.
Hope Wolfwind survives this, without being turned into... whatever that skin coated monster was.

An elephant draugr, that is.

'That's... I really hate how it lacks skin.' You can't help but agree.
oh... that will be a problem, alright.
Come to think of it... raids tend to generate thralls and the region has seen some good raids recently, so where have all the thralls gone?
...
yeeeeeeep, that might outlaw the whole family.

He's not hurrying, Wolfwind is there looking wiped out (When we know he's apparently a near-Steinarr level badass), and Horra isn't bothering to hide his steps. He thinks he's about to win, enough that he's not taking great steps to hide his approach, which suggests he doesn't think he needs to keep it hidden for much longer.

I Really do not like this. My instincts are now acting up something fierce.

I want to get a second opinion.

[X] Null for now

Depends if they can be proven to have known. Horra and Hasvir are going down, but the rest could maybe claim ignorance.

Not necessarily. He's happy and not taking his usual precautions because he's excited...he's just had something really good happen, from his perspective. Whether that's 'about to win' is a different matter. But knowing what it is might actually be vital.

Ugh. Maybe we should stay and hide. That's risky as hell, though...

I don't like this, the question is "Do we Fuck Off now and leave whatever it is that makes him think checkmate is within a few moves a mystery until the last minute? Or do we take the risk of someone noticing us here and figure out what his Final Solution is.

Question @Imperial Fister ! Are Reward Dice also doubled for the purposes of our Stealth doubling?

Well, I'm frankly not confident enough on us being able to escape the sight of Hasvir, Horra and Wolfwind. His daughter was able to locate us, so I'm just going to assume Horra can do the same, and probably Hasvir. Not to mention Wolfwind.

But can we save Wolfwind?
If we'd have to face Horra and Hasvir without help (i.e. Wolfwind is unable to fight back) that could quickly lead to 'we reincarnate, Wolfwind gets monstered, by the time Steinarr realizes Halla is dead ang goes to go Thermonuclear on Horra there is Wolfwindmonster and Hasvir to counter him'.

Like, they'd be neat to deal with trolls.
Very legit things, just used illegitimately.

Might be 'about to do an interesting experiment/gain a huge new weapon (Wolfwindmonster)/live out sadistism'

I wouldn't count Wolfwind out entirely, if he's just been enthralled somehow, we might be able to free him, and then we have a very powerful ally on hand.

...

He might literally be Thralled. All it takes is someone getting the manacles on you, isn't it? If someone slapped them on through a trick, well, he can't really do anything about it, can he? It would certainly explain how a guy looks visibly uninjured but incredibly exhausted apparently when he's a danger in the same dimension as Steinarr.

Anyway, got my second opinion.

[X] Leave now

Ultimately, we don't have the tools to reasonably intervene, and listening in alone is too great a risk, here in the center of Horra's power.

We've got enough data now that we can positively nail this fucker to the wall. Eyewitness Testimony may not be damning, but it's enough to get Big Bois coming in to investigate more closely.

Well, yeah, but we'd be in the middle of Horra's Sanctum. Would he not just be able to sic his whole draugr army on us?

We brought people nearby, right? Would it be possible to jump Horra and Hasvir and get Wolfwind? That sounds way too optimistic, lmao.

[X] Check the Store Room (Hamingja)
-[X] (Optional) Afterwards, hide somewhere and listen in. (Stealth)
--[X] The Store Room

Do remember people, we have backup nearby.

But if we die in the sanctum they will know nothing we just uncovered.
And i doubt Abjorn will take the kids to the city for The Thing to launch the investigation. so the seiress will not be able to tell the info we gathered here to the Jarl.
