Ah! That makes each Suspcion a slightly bigger deal than I was thinking, but it makes sense.

That definitely makes sense for research, yes. And I have the training plan worked out (17d6 in Hamr this turn...more in future turns once we finish off, like, 4 different things that are 1 success away). It's research and actual actions I'm unsure on.

Oooh, another action, the Sealwood Wax stuff, see if we can get that out, or if that's not good, if we can make some gloves/boot soles from them. It seems to be implied that the leaves can be turned into thread? Or rope? or something?

He's apparently going to rely on them heavily when it's Go Time, and making sure that Steinarr can walk over them completely harmlessly will be a top kek moment.

I'd like to visit the dwarves regardless. We can ask them about bolt throwers, about mysterious shadow clad visitors and whether the war involves mysterious sun-strikes underground.

@Imperial Fister we definitely need to know what action it is to get Sten's help with reforging Sagaseeker using Storm Iron to make a good plan...would that all just be part of the Crafting action?

The dwarves and sealwood definitely seem like solid choices, though.

Okay, here's the plan:

[X] Plan Dwarven Studies

-[X] (Personal) Spend time with...
--[X] The Dwarves
--[X] Ask if there is anything we can do to help without breaking the Ancestral Pact
--[X] Specifically, ask about sunlight attacks underground or anything resembling the arrow-throwing machine, explaining that we have a theory that might help but need more information
-[X] (Crafting) Try to make something
--[X] Storm Iron Atgeir (+7 Successes from Tools/Workshop)
--[X] Specifically, get Sten to help reforge Sagaseeker (since his power and skills are needed)
--[X] Invest 1 Odr into Weaponcraft Roll
--[X] Invest 24 Orthstirr into this for 4 extra successes on Weaponcraft Roll
--[X] Try and put runes onto it as we reforge it, specifically: "I come down as the corpse-gulper rises, leave them wanting for what I arrived with." = I strike fast and leave my enemies slow.
--[X] Invest 1 Odr into Artcraft Roll
--[X] Invest 24 Orthstirr into this for 4 extra successes on Artcraft Roll
-[X] (Exploration) Go on a walk through...
--[X] The Hading!
--[X] With Abjorn, probably

-[X] (Surplus) Spend 105 oz. Silver on charity (+3 Drengskapr)

Training:
-[X] (Rolled)
--[X] Train Kindle-Spinner 2d6 (1d6) (+1 Success from Born of Fire)
--[X] Train Ember-Winged Cloak 2d6 (1d6) (+1 Success from Born of Fire)
--[X] Train Campfire 2d6 (1d6) (+1 Success from Born of Fire)
--[X] Train Hamr itself 17d6
-[X] (Research)
--[X] With Sten, look over the arrow-throwing machine and attempt to figure out where it's from and how it work. Is it Dwarven design? 1d6
--[X] Try using nalebinding to 'weave' together our virthing and saemd 1d6
-[X] (Blackhand's Training) Try to develop old/train new hugareida tricks
--[X] Train Halting Vortex 1d6
--[X] Train Mire Ward 1d6
-[X] (Training) Tricks
--[X] Talk to Sten about how to make other rare weapons.
--[X] Train Skewer-Flick 1d6
--[X] Train 'Rare Weapon' Weaponcraft Skill-Trick 1d6 (+1 Success from Sten)
-[X] (Training) Hamr (43 successes to rank up)
--[X] Train Chop 1d6
-[X] (Training) Hugr (22 successes to rank up)
--[X] Train Hugr itself 1d6
--[X] Train Artcraft 1d6 (+1 Success from Sten)
--[X] Train Housecraft 1d6 (+1 Success from Sten)
--[X] Train Weaponcraft 1d6 (+1 Success from Sten)
-[X] (Training) Fylgja (6 success to rank up)
--[X] Train Fylgja Itself 1d6

Orthstirr:
-[X] (Orthstirr Usage)
--[X] 3 Orthstirr to Hamr
---[X] 3 Chop, 4 Defend, 4 Dodge, 4 Glima, 3 Bash, 3 Pierce, 3 Throw, 3 Cut, 3 Farmwork, 3 Labor, 3 Overland (36 total)
--[X] 5 Orthstirr to Hugr
---[X] 5 Artcraft, 5 Armorcraft, 3 Barb-Tongue, 4 Composure, 5 Housecraft, 3 Management, 4 Scouting, 4 Silver-Tongue, 3 Strategy, 3 Tactics, 1 Odr and 4 Orthstirr Weaponcraft, 4 Wordplay, 5 Wildcraft (52 total)
--[X] 1 Orthstirr to Fylgja
---[X] 3 Command
--[X] 1 First Impression
--[X] 224 free for tricks (maybe 176 after crafting?)

Fylgja:
-[X] (Fylgja Capacity)
--[X] Remove Sway, Halting Vortex, Kindle Spinner, and Ember-Wing Cloak
--[X] Add Boulder, Shield, and Thievesbane

Okay, so, here's the plan including talking with the dwarves and improving our main weapon, though the Exploration I'm a bit iffy on, and could be replaced. We do need to do that, but I feel like there must be more urgent things we could be doing. Research is as discussed.

For Training, we're obviously continuing to aim for Hamr 7, boosting a bunch of stuff that only has one turn left on it (including our ability to make an atgeir), and continuing our march on some stuff that should be every round (Hugr, EWC, etc.)

EDIT: Cleared up some wording, added specific rune idea. Swapped out sealwood research for trying nalebinding with virthing and saemd. Added Orthstirr to crafting rolls and 1 Odr to making the Rune as well.

So, the one big gap in the above plan is what Runes to put on Sagaseeker as we reforge it. I'm...not great at the wording thing there, so what ideas do people have? I could go back to the last time and look for a couple that sounded good, but maybe someone has a new idea as well?

Well, not really given how Christian Cultivation works.

It feels blasphemous to me, for some reason, to purposefully set out to mimic and mass produce the miracles of the New Testament.

I'm sure the in universe Christians are fine with it, but for some reason, despite the premise of the setting, i still dislike it.

Don't you need to eat bits of Jesus' body to cultivate?

Makes you wonder what's going on for sects without the doctrine of Transubstantiation.

[X] Plan Dwarven Studies

So, the two remaining "ongoing prosecutable elements" seem to be uncovering that Horra is illegally dealing with the dwarves, or finding out what's in the Sanctum. Hopefully we'll get a lead on the dwarves, or we can start planning a raid on the sanctum as long as we stop getting PREGNANT AGAIN, HALLA.

"I come down as the corpse-gulper rises, leave them wanting for what I arrived with." = I strike fast and leave my enemies slow.

(Corpse-Gulper = The Great Eagle that creates winds with the beat of it's wings.)

If nobody else comes up with anything for Sagaseeker's new runes, I'll probably go with this suggestion Shard made last time. Seems a solid option for a main weapon to go with our more...specialized runework on Ashen Kiss.

Halla: "Look. I have nine kids to work through, here. Nine."
