I'm not convinced by Dealing with the Curse, since I'd rather try and crack the Meteorite open if we can instead of trying for a Wood Axe. We can probably divert some training dice over to that Orthstirr Funnel Trick I suggested way back when as an option that doesn't necessarily need Gabriel to give up something Precious, unless that's literally the only option we have. Journal Entries seem to be the most reliable way of acquiring more Muna after all, and this is one that we've been chasing for a long time. It might also let us recruit Aki as well, and having a sage and a prophet in our camp will be a great boon.

@Imperial Fister if maintenance keeps going up for better buildings we're in real trouble...we need all our dice to produce Fodder during Summer. Is there any way to reduce those or 'pre-load' the maintenance with dice during the winter or something?

Cracking the meteor requires two actions, one to convince Gabriel then another to go do it. If we're to investigate and talk to Jerasmus this turn, we can't also actually do it.

I was, however, thinking it required a Visit, which was wrong. I'll replace the Crafting with talking to Gabriel so we can do the meteor next turn.

There is not, no. Maintenance is the reason why successful farms tend to grow slowly, but steadily. If you move too fast, you can't maintain it and it fails into disrepair.
We got the Bible right? How do we study it?
Research dice, focus bible

Hmmm. Is there anything else we can in the winter other than construction, then? Because, uh, there's Clearing the Fields and then there's Clothmaking and that seems to be it? Forgot about crafting projects for a minute, never mind. That solves it.

EDIT: @Imperial Fister Oh, and our Fodder number is wrong. It's still charging 20 per turn when it should be 18, which means we should have 86 rather than 84, I think?

I can free up a die for this if people are interested. (EDIT: And done.)

If we want to go for the thread metaphor with this, wouldn't a needle be better than a key? To weave something as intricate as a tapestry you would need needle to weave in different color strands of threads?

I don't think we're urgently dying for every point of farming we can do, especially given how good our tools are. We can probably push our stuff up another notch before Maintenance costs become prohibitive.

One more guest house, a Good Main House, and then Decent other structures, and we should be good.

The issue is that our Soul is apparently Empty, outside of whatever the fuck is behind the Gate.

Unless...

Unless the issue is that we need to fill that space first...

Shit, that might be it too. The Gate will open on it's own once we've filled the empty space that is Halla's apparent Soul with a Story, or something.

The dice pool will actually be a tad iffy to feed all our animals at that point...but that's actually not my primary concern, it's what we do with 25+ dice every turn during Winter once we hit that point. Like, what do we spend those on if we don't want to do any more construction?

I guess there's crafting? We're gonna wind up with a crapload of meat-keeping sticks. Yeah, upon reflection that works. Never mind.

Can we add talking to Gabriel about Christian cultivation to our research? I wonder if they have to 'unlock' or not. The Bible may or may not help with that.

Could also make bombs, those area always handy.

Straight up asking him might be a bit of a stretch, trading generalities though is probably safe.

Go exploring, find cool stuff (like resource nodes)

Well yes, though we really need a Throwing trick to make proper use of them. Still, we want that for the Fylgja Airdrop Plan anyway, so it's on the agenda either way.

It's a shame we can't do that right now :|

I guess our Holdings are a lot larger than just our Fields though, right? Just that our Fields are the ones that are relatively low-hanging fruit to exploit?

I mean, we can once per turn as long as it's not a Visit. We should definitely do that once the Meteor plotline is completed.

You own about 240 acres of land.

Yeah, that's pretty chonky.

Has any Resources in there already been worked out and we just need to find it? Or is it a Gacha that we roll when we go exploring it?

On that note, we definitely want to advance our Workshop, as that's going to be a primary source of Making Money for us, as well as grinding our Boon. And it seems our other structures are gated by the quality of our Main House, so we want to get that to Good before long, then one more Basic House for our Party and we should be good on building for the immediate future, at least until we start generating more dice.

Because don't forget, Halla is insatiable and Abjorn cannot help but generate murderkittens in batches, we are going to fill up a merely Decent house uncomfortably quickly.

If... If the Nornr are neutral, are our Enemies the Aesier?
Our motif is fire, and Surt, Lord of Muspelheim, is associated strongly with Fire and a *lot* of dead Gods... but I might be syncretizing too much, idk.

We want to get everything to Decent, yeah, and the main house to Good. Then we stop construction for a while and work on our dice pool. We won't be having more kids for a while (breastfeeding is pretty good birth control and the Norse did it for two years), but even us and three kids fill up a Decent house completely, so aiming for Good makes sense.

Silly thought here but having in mind what Alectai was talking about cultivation and fate, is the missing ingredient here just hamingja?

Like there is the whole we need to form a core as is normal in xianxia, maybe as a center of Saemd wrap it with Virthing and wrap that with Frami on top idk, but has the fate portion always been in our face with Hamingja as the one stat that we can't train being luck which is our ability to push fate in our favor?
