You don't actually need to. These are just the premature round ends for the entire fight as a whole. House has been rendered impossible.
Oh, well, never mind then. Plan adjusted back.

If it tries something like that, then we just have todice it to pieces. We don't stand a good chance of stopping it any other way, we lack intercept based tricks.

Remind me, if I forget once this is over, and I'll go over the different ways this could've played out.Turns out it can't actually target the people inside the house. I assume it's because it's enraged or something.
Sliding across the ground, you swing a Honed Power-Chop at its legs.
(Honed Trick Attack: 19 vs Defense: 5, Attacker Wins. 4-2(Monstrous Vigor)=2 Damage Dealt)
And manage to scour a hefty level of rotting flesh and bone from its thigh, taking several arms with it. Doing so, you catch a glimpse of what lies beneath those arms...
Why did this Honed Power-Chop do 4 damage, but on our latest turn only did 2?
A mistake on my end. Thank you for pointing it out, have a reward dice as recompense. Why did this Honed Power-Chop do 4 damage, but on our latest turn only did 2?
Hah, I'm glad my gut feeling about going for an internal detonation turned out to be a good move.
So, just to clarify, I guess the Monstrous Vigor was effectively the meat-suit protecting the actual corrupted Nisse? Which probably also contributed heavily to its "Deals Honed Power Chop" levels of basic attack damage? So anything that hurt it was a blow that sunk deep enough to harm the 'Pilot?'
In which case, our strategy here effectively blew away his biggest trump card. What remains is faster, but presumably somewhat less tough and without that insane DR that made only full power attacks land home?
Well, the meat suit is out of play now, hopefully that's a big enough hit to his fighting power that we can finish the job with the rest of our gas.
I legitimately believe that the final 3 explosive damage is the only damage actually on the real critter. All the rest was only to the meat suit.
If the nisse still can't use orthstirr (which, for the record, I do think it still can't, I'm just being careful), I think we're probably good to kill it this turn, the question is just how much we get hit on the way. If it can use orthstirr...well, things get significantly dicier then, at least in terms of how much we get hit on the way to killing it.
I mean, if it had Orthstirr to use, why wouldn't it use it when it had all the advantages?
The Outlaw retreated and ran like a coward, always staying just one or two steps ahead of the vengeful pursuers. He used trickery and hid from them wherever he found them, always refusing to stand and fight like a man.
Until one day he found a secret carved into the bones of the earth. A recipe for evil creations of malformed and warped form and demeanor. Using these secrets, the Outlaw crafted monsters from the flesh of animals to aid him in his endeavor.
The tale ends with the Outlaw harassing the heroes, only to be impaled on the horns of one of his own creations.
Man though, if you're right and that tag is the only thing we've hit it with that's done real damage. Then he doesn't have nearly enough Endurance left to handle another good hit or two from us now that we've triggered the Phase Change on our terms. Hopefully our extra defense dice are enough to prevent him from getting a bite in.
Nah, I don't this is right. The 'it's well over halfway dead' remark also included the damage we did while it was in the meatsuit, so I think we were actually hitting it whenever our attacks got through the DR.
To clarify, the 'well over half way dead' was referring to the monster as a whole, not specifically the nisse.
I mean, if it had Orthstirr to use, why wouldn't it use it when it had all the advantages?
Wishful thinking, yeah, but I don't think it's 'Aware' enough to use its own reserve, while it's not 'Dead' enough to borrow from a necromancer's. In exchange, we got a horrifying flesh golem terror weapon that would have been a tough fight even for an ordinary aspiring raider.
That's what contingencies are for then.
So, what's the difference between the Plans?

The barn, as the puppies were getting underfoot when people were trying to get work done.
Only house is impossible to happen, dog and poison is still in playI'm pretty sure they're in the house. Those options are things that could've happened if stuff went differently, not something that necessarily still will (I mean, we could still get poisoned, but aside from that).
