I really hope that its pointed out that at least one or more of Van/Isabella/Mannfred/Konrad will come back one day.
Isabella is probably more likely to just kill herself again unless she finds out where Vlad is and can bring him back. And I'm sure the empire is holding Konrad like they are Vlad.

Mannfred is the real issue, theres a nonzero chance of him coming back every time some stupid necromancer goes into Hel Fenn.

More stress on Belegar? No thanks.
I am already worried enough that he will end up killing his entire species out of anger.

I'd like to think that Belegar's earned quite a bit of trust by this point. And Boney already said that we'll give all the context that Mathilde can give without OOC knowledge.

I think yes is a bad idea, but I also mainly think it is a bad idea due to out of character knowledge. Ignoring that information, I personally think it best to tell Belegar.

The report is about the expedition technically mental gymnastics can agree that Borek's words dont need to be part of it.

Also one of the powers of not telling is the ability to tell at a better time. I fully expect to be open about it if we go for Waystones.

Honestly, I'm surprised by the order. I thought we would have investigated being a bodyguard while still in Altdorf.

If Belegar gets angry enough, his "breaking point" will consist of him levelling the accusation at Thorgrim, and demanding recompense, as any wronged Dawi would. Either Thorgrim explains and Belegar withdraws the accusation, or Thorgrim pays him for the energy, or Thorgrim refuses to explain - and I do not believe that a canny operator like Thorgrim will let his Empire slip into civil war when he's aware of the problem.

Have a little faith in Belegar. He's not going to start a war on the spot. Have the barest hint of faith that the High King is similarly not a complete fool.

Waystone project sounds cool, but it's also the kind of a long-term capstone project that I'd like to do start after our next job and adventure or two. The narrative timing just feels a bit off to me.

We don't have to make it official right now. I can easily see King Ironhammer sending his trusted Loremaster Weber to inquire as to what the High King is doing with Karak Eight Peaks' energy.
This exactly kind of the stuff a Loremaster that is not Mathilde would do but Mathilde can't because she lacks 90 year long certificate of mastery for Dawi Law.
