On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

Snerra age: 338 Years Old by Dwarf reckoning.
Only a few years left until Snorri has to reinforce the beardlings ego and tell her that he is proud of her. After closer inspection proud seems a bit much. A casual 'good job' should suffice, no?

--> I just remembered that one scene were Snorri told his brother how talented Snerra is and they agreed on her reaching 350 years before telling her.

No idea how this entered my mind. 😐

[X] Plan Trial of the Ancestors
-[X] Theme for Both Runes: Six smaller trials, one for each ancestor cult organised with those cults. The trials should emphasise the runesmith working with the other cults for the betterment of all, the number of runes the journeyman can learn would depend on how many of the trials they complete.

The sections with Gimli and the Hearthguard coming up with worst case scenarios were hilarious.

That sounds like the sort of thing that adds a political charge to the trial. The example we were given as an ideal one just checks how effective a journeyman's work is without reinforcing a particular point about how they do it; this would be locking knowledge behind embracing a specific subset of allowable behavior as the right way to runesmith.

I don't think it'd normally be a problem, but in the context of the forged limb issues it might not be the best idea.

At a guess since the Brana are technically magical beasts, EVERY Brana has some level of the Diamond wind that makes them smarter than their normal kin. It's just so there that only the Patriarch who once never had it at all can sense it/do things with it. Just like how the Ghur users are not noteworthy to Brana, not part of the wind there. They are beasts, they register as beasts, they produce Ghur naturally. The diamond wind was the fuel for ascension and explains why the Brana are naturally not falling to chaos so easily, they are naturally resistant too it because every Brana has some level of the Diamond wind, which is anti-chaos in them. As they naturally accrete Ghur jsut by living and accrete Hysh and Azyr by the act of their progenitor, now they accrete Chamon via living near the dawi for so long. The brana are basically magical sponge birds.

Soulcake explicitly said in the update this is a pure fluff vote with no serious narrative or mechanical impacts. Plus the idea of the guilds and cults working together isn't really political it's a bedrock of the dwarven culture, presumably deliberately as the interdependence prevents grudges from getting out of hand.
AN: This took way too long to do. Sorry about that. Anyhoo, just to clear things up, this vote will have no mechanical or serious narrative implications. Its simply letting you guys have the choice to decide whether or not you want to think of a trial Snorri could put any Journeymen through. Its entirely fluff, so don't freak out. With that said, I hope this was worth the wait. Thanks for reading, and don't forget to C&C. :^)

With the new stacking rune snorri is getting dangerously close to going full Santa Claus. He just needs a way to make his sleigh fly, make runes that can work on cloth and find out how to finagle time. And Boom. Ho Ho Ho.

Eh, it's cloth. Isn't that just Banner runes?

Maybe a hybrid of Banner and Talisman?
