[X] Scour the river banks for anything the bandits left behind

[X] Try to track the bandits
Mathilde is too exhausted, to the point where, between miscasts, miscommunication and sheer physical tiredness, not to mention the unknown of how many dwarves even need saving, I don't think we will improve the chances of survival for these dwarves a great deal.

We did everything reasonable. Remaining dwarves are at a level mundane S&R can reach, making it safer for them, and our level of fatigue plus the many chances of entering into light make it even riskier for us.

Meanwhile, finding what caused this is important, time-sensitive, and, critically, something that is not fail-deadly due to exhaustion.

Risk/reward. How many lives can we save this way, that couldn't hold out for Barak Varr anyhow? Is it worth the risk, especially when considering that with each passing moment evidence we could use to find the culprit floats away down the river?

That ship has frankly already been sunk. It was multiple hours to get there and it's been multiple hours since.

That's not actually true? The halls are filled with water, those doors may have been closed with the people inside being up to their armpits or completely dry we don't know, that said they will die before S&R can get to them, several dwarves did just that already during the previous rescue action.

Oh yikes, the fact that it's possible now adds a complicating factor. Before it was obvious that we can't take the risk, but now we can take the risk if we blow an expensive resource.

To be honest, I'm completely okay with burning the power stone. I very much like the flavor of Mathilde making such an expensive sacrifice to save every Dwarven life she is capable of. But, that doesn't change the fact that she has casted SoS over 300 times and she is absolutely exhausted. Mathilde lectured Pan about nearly killing everyone around her by using magic while she was tired, and this is absolutely a higher risk than that was. Going back to the first rule of rescue, don't kill yourself to do it.

And if there is someone not capable of answering in there but that could be saved?
i'm not saying we should check, i am opposed to the plan as it is.
But if we want to save everyone, we need to check every cabin.
Then we run the risk of entering a dwarfless room with light in it. If they know to turn out the lights, and can reply a knock, then we can get them.

[] Use your spare Power Stone to save any Dwarves left in the ship

Edit: Changed my mind. I don't think anyone's concerned with using a powerstone (and using it is a clever idea)... but so many castings + the hope of finding clues pull me back to my original vote)

I'm kind of worried that the dwarfs stuck there might not actually listen to the ethereal booming voice telling them to snuff out all the lights.

Because that's, in the newest parlance, hella sus'.

Uh no, the miscast risk isn't reduced, it, if anything, may increase.
Only the splinching risk is reduced. The risk of fucking up the spell and exploding has increased from casting an even more boosted spell on top of all the SoSing

I am really suprised everyone wants to scour the riverbands rather than chasing the bandits. I thought it would have been a no brainer. But I want to make more people aware that chasing bandits is a time sensitive mission and arguably the more important one. People that support scouring in the riverband are saying that 1. we have windsight and 2. we have to be near enough to help if goblins attack and 3. that we are exhausted 4.the bandits are patsy anyway we can't get reliable intel on them. I want to answer some of these concerns.

1.About windsight I am not going to argue that we have great windsight but these are dwarves and they are undoubtedly better able to handle and recognize what kind of explosive can take their ship down and what kind of force is necessary to do that. This is a pretty important attack and have no doubt they are going to comb the shit out of that area with the best experts that the old world has. And as we have just seen while we have great windsight it is not infalliable, it is not precise as we like to think, I doubt we are going to get a revolutionary insight with it that says who did it that can't be figured out by other experts.

2.No we dont need to be near for goblins attacks because the copter is going here with as many hammerer as it can and they are going to lay their lives down to protect these people. While they might have just lived thorough a life threathining event they are still dwarfs and they are about 300 of them. So we can be sure that even if there was a fight they are reasonably protected and also not very easy opponents. Especially for goblins that get regullarly culled.

3. Yes we might be exhausted but this is not going to be that big of a deal. Remember people this is a quest and that may have some negative modifiers but i have no doubt our other abilites can easily mitigate that. Outside of that we have an armor that compeletly negates exhaustion and I wonder why it is so bad in the first place. Just our mundane sneakiness should be more than enough for any random mortal. Remember people we are someone that went and defeated a vampire.

4. They may be patsys but they undoubtedly know somethings, atleast a point of contact that we can further investigate. And doubtless the dwarves will want their pound of flesh from them as well. Though I doubt that they can be just any bandits as no one that is not a professional attacks with this kind of success. And anyone professional makes sure where the money comes from if shit goes sideways and they want recompense.

Hope my arguments made some of you reconsider your votes. And thanks as always for this wonderful update Boneym. To tell you the truth I think I like these actions more than I like the regular turns somewhat. Certainly more exciting for one.

(assuming the dwarves listen and extinguish their only light source while trapped in the darkness like this).
So if we shout a clear message ordering everyone to close their lights and clearly explain why they should do so, yet some scared Dwarf doesn't, gruesomely killing us right in front of him as we tried to do nothing other than rescuing the lives of him and his fellows, should he somehow survive anyway, would just he go Slayer or most of his immediate family as well?
