[X] You are the justice of Mork, delivering swift death upon the heresy of Only Gork. Try to accept the energies.

I don't know why people shit on WSiA so much given that Academia Nut civ quest was locked down so often it became a meme.
It was fairly civil. People were just discussing very ordinary things in very intense ways that went on for hours and pages without actually attacking each other.

Just posting a lot and wandering from fiction, theology, engineering, biology, physics, sociology....

[X] You are Dwarf-friend and you bear upon your person a masterpiece developed by the oldest and wisest Runepriest of the Karaz Ankor. Try to destroy the energies.

Ah, I remember it until the suicide vote.
Fun times, mostly, though I quit after that one.

I was there until the players voted to join Aizen and betray their friends for the lolz. Then I realized I had better ways to spend my time. Like, say, looking up particularly spectacular trainwrecks.

Well if we are doing this kind of crazy speculation, why not make it in character? A cat jumps in the QMs window, and leaps away with the dice after he rolls it. :p

....
@BoneyM do you have a cat and a physical dice?

Edit: While I understand my question may have caused some comedic sentiment, and am glad that I have brought a bit of humour to some people, I am actually serious that I want the QM to get a cat to knock a dice off a table or something.

Would be like, really cool :D

I'm not sure I wanna find out what accepting in, or stealing an absorbing, Waaagh energy would do. Some Energy Fields you can eat. But maybe some you wanna avoid. So, into the ground it goes. Better it than us!

... And hey, maybe it really will ruin some Skaven's day underground? xD

EDIT: And if how we choose to deal with the energy changes or biases us or establishes character or whatever, well then I'd rather lean towards Magister. If it's something like that then -- we're a grey wizard, and I want to become a better grey wizard. Rather than mixing in priestly magics or rituals. Mathilde can worship Ranald or whatever. But I'd rather not lean towards becoming a priest or anything like that. Plus, like... Mathilde's (ideological and philosophical!) loyalty should probably be to, and favor, the Colleges and magic rather than... Ranaldism, or whatever. (Also, hell -- Mathilde's probably likely to mutter a prayer to Ranald to "oh please don't let me fuck this up" anyway, no matter what she goes for, so hey.)

Or put another way...

I'd prefer to think of this as Mathilde trusting in her training and schooling in magic, rather than deciding to leave it to the gods.

When it comes to big things going down, I want Mathilde to be... a Magister, you know?

Believe in yourself and your craft. That sort of confidence. Magical ambitions, as it were.

We can roll badly and die with any of them. I voted Ranald because we have good stats for it and because the previous choice at the Stromfels shrine implies that "get a god to deal with a god" is Mathilde's professional opinion.

The argument that "we can roll bad with any of them" strikes me as either niave or disengenious. Yes we can always roll badly but that does not mean that the consequences or likelihood of failing the roll are the same between options. It is reasonable to assume that the less ambitious/more defensive options have a greater chance of nothing disastorous happening at the cost of a lesser payoff for a great roll.

I am fine with either of these. Improved relationship with Ranald would be shiny, and hilarious, but the "I'm a wizard, dammit!" of the other one is my preferred path for Mathilde.
