[X] You are a faithful of Ranald, being in the right place at the right time to unbalance the scales. Try to steal the energies.

Whatever the option, it's up to the roll of the dice. Let's place a little faith in the God of Gamblers and Protectors since we're trying to do both at the moment, thematically.

Unironically seems like the best idea here.

The Magister option I think leads into a greater understanding of Magic and how the foreign energies used by the Dark Forces are actually rather similar in some ways and in some ways very much not. Basically a moment of Enlightement.
Hmm, that actually makes me want to vote for the Magister option. Ranald still wins out, but that's also cool.
Fallout from The List that Van Hal gave Mathilde implicated the Empress? That's what I remember at least.
Wait what? I don't remember anything about the Empress. Was that WoG, cause I thought she just died from an illness or something

[X] You are a Magister of the Grey Order, and follow the traditions laid down by Teclis and Magnus the Pious. Try to ground the energies.

its time to give back to the god thats saved our back so many times.
Will we die? maybe. But our home in the afterlife will be GRAND.
probably grander than wolf's.

[X] You are Dwarf-friend and you bear upon your person a masterpiece developed by the oldest and wisest Runepriest of the Karaz Ankor. Try to destroy the energies.

That's Mathilde I want to play.

Mathilde could always get messed up, but I'm willing to put my faith in the god that's had our back this whole time.

Also, Piety is our highest stat.

Time to absorb an energy field bigger than our head !

Place our faith in Ranald, as we ever have.

Yeah, just one of those "strongly implied" things.

This here, though, is a hell of a choice to make.

I imagine moderate possible downsides of destroying the energy via Kraggs belt is melting the belt. Big downsides could be melting the mountain, which is probably similar to what grounding it could result in.

i think the big question here with the Ranald option is "where is the energy going"
In my understanding, its going to our sneaky mutual friend. But i can understand other interpretations

I'm after considering it basically happy if Ranald, Magister or Dawi Trust win. Human is too risky in my opinion because humans get stomped flat in Warhammer a lot of the time, and Justice of Mork is taking in the mantle and acting as the hand of another God which carries a host of attendant issues.

Ranald take the Wheel!

ok so let's be less silly, we have no idea what the fuck any of this would do. So let's loop in a mostly benevolent god who presumably is really good at this sort of divine fuckery. I trust Ranald to be able to take advantage of this. I don't know if he's going to eat it, hide it, or judo throw it at someone, but taking advantage of gork and mork being off-balance really seems to be in his wheelhouse.

The Teclis/Colleges vote is legitimately sad to me, it feels like Stockholm Syndrome. Teclis did not care about us, even in the abstract, he handed the barbarians a few scraps of lore so they would better be able to gunk up the gears of Chaos with their blood, the Empire which the Colleges serve cares about us even less with most of its inhabitants holding us in open contempt even as it spends the lives of mages in its wars. The way I see if in terms of Mathilde's character the options that actually define a positive interaction are Ranald who came through for us time and again and the Dwarfs who honored her as a skilled craftsman and ally.
