Dwarf Favour hasn't been updated since Barak Varr. There'll be a full accounting once the Expedition concludes.

Ah, that's me making a bad assumption. I saw that the character sheet had been edited yesterday, couldn't spot any changes, and misremembered seeing Dwarf Favor at zero. Sorry for the mistake.

Guys, there will be plenty of time to play with our puppy later on, now we have some networking to do.

No. I'm saying that the victory doesn't matter to Wolf. It's just another day to him. For the other people here it's the celebration of a historic victory that should echo down the ages.

I'm pretty surprised it can be misread that badly, given the context you didn't quote.
How are you sure that Wolf doesn't care about victory?

He seems very bloodthirsty to me.

I'm 90% sure Atam wasn't serious and was attempting the virtual equivalent of puppy-dog eyes to fish for hugs.
Also this.

Note, this is why I want our name on it: every time the spell massively simplifies something, people will think of/thank Mathilde.

It's not ego, it's the basics of climbing the ladders of academia.

People will be able to go "oh, that Mathilde? Like, from the spell?"
No, more ambition TNE! It should be.
"MAP? Like Mathilde's spell? What where they called before?"
"Well, some just called'em "Thingies", or "projection", some say of course that they were already named after Mathilde, the lasses' accomplishments resonating through time"

It's like "Bigby" or "Mordenkainen", or locally, Okkam or Melkoth.

Seriously, academics name their discoveries after themselves because that's how you do it in the field. Your name becomes something that opens doors by itself, and your reputation starts preceding you.

We have ambitions of becoming a Wizard Lord. Having a weighty name is most definitely part of that.

One for dwarf politics, one for empire politics, and one for Mathilde's developing familiar bond.

Wolf will eventually be a constant companion of human-level intelligence, after all - it's worth spending time to make sure we're in sync.

[X] Mathildes Malleable Model

It's not just a map.

It's 35 no to 56-ish yes on whether we're sticking our name in it somehow, we just can't all agree on the specifics. It'd be sad if we missed out on the opportunity because we couldn't get it together, but I guess that's what's happening.

So the spell is a semi stable illusion that can be moulded to the casters will. Naming the spell anything to do with maps would be a disservice to its breadth of capability. It's also compared to Marsh lights which is a petty magic spell so based on that it should be possible for other wizards to learn how to cast it.

[X]Malleable Model.

We all know who invented Mystifying Miasma and the Mindrazor. On the other hand who the hell knows who invented Steed of Shadows or The Withering.

Malleable Model and aethyric projection definitely seem like the coolest names so far.

Tactical voting reassessment, taking the ranger off the vote because he is direct competition for the marshal who I am more interested in. I wish I could give a negative vote for the dog *sigh*
