[X] Kragg and his Unsealing

That's a selfish decision and I fully admit it. Don't care, want to see the grumpiest dwarf at work.

@BoneyM So, Boney, what's happened to our reputation now that we just walked into a Peak, did our thing, and turned the ensuing reconquest into a cake-walk?

Hardly finalized yet, we're still at a fierce pace here and things can still go wrong.

Hrm.

That aside, I am coming around to the idea of sending Mathilde down to choke out any possible undergound sallies with sabotage and the likes, but if things go right it'll be a very boring job to have, and if things go wrong we'll be in serious hot water.

[X] The Highways, where Karag Lhune joins the rest of the Karak.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think that this is a critical zone to capture and fortify. It will provide us access way to the underground network which, should we fully take it, will allow us to strike anywhere else in the Karak. It also allows anyone else in the Karak to strike at us through an underground avenue, which means we won't have free potshots from the Karag Lhune artillery.

The Expedition needs a strong foothold here in order to protect their most vulnerable area. We don't need to kill whatever is occupying this area, we just need to force them to move out of the way, and Mathilde is perfectly equipped to make goblins and skaven fear and flee.

[X] The Chiselwards below.

Yeah, it's a good argument. At the very least, we're in a good position to call out warning if the shit hits the fan--and if the Skaven from earlier survived somehow and are trying to escape (Or worse, the Orcs who were previously buried and might bring word to another greenskin faction that this place is vulnerable), we'll be in a good position to intercept.

This point is the one that tipped me over. I get tunnel fighting and scaring the frak out of gobs and rats. Win win!

Clearing up the urban combat nightmare and securing the weakest front are both good uses of our time - I won't complain about either.

I guess we know why they were chasing after us so persistently now, too. They weren't superpowered, they were one hundred percent maximum riled up, we basically couldn't have shot anything more important in that hall.

Yeah, if the Chiselwards go south and vomit out some Horrific Thing that might mean that one of the sections of the Vanguard gets cut off from the others since the Wards sit between the Hall of the Moon and everything below.

[How high up in the Tribe was the Boss you killed?: 100
Huh. From earlier comments of yours regarding "Boss" hierarchy and such I thought that you had already created the character(s) that would be that dude's superior(s). If we get to a point where we never will find out in story, will you relay your headcanon as to how Crooked Moon ended up with such a weak leadership and dearth of Big Bosses?

By the way, is there any narrative difference between two competing rolls that are both low and two that are both high if the difference is the same?
Example: What would have been the difference between the following results:
[Clan Angrund vs Goblins: Martial, 3+20=23 vs 2+10=12.]
and
[Clan Angrund vs Goblins: Martial, 98+20=118 vs 97+10=107.]
?

ok to make sure I got this right, we in Essene made the approach to the walls a lot less painful, turned the gate hose fight from a meat grinder to a cakewalk, and turned the shrine of the moon from a nasty hard point to an embarrassingly easy mop up. There are a few more strong points to take, but getting inside a fortress without heavy losses is a really great position to be in. There is a lot still to go, but we've saved the dwarves a lot of blood so far.

"You scout like a Ranger," he comments. "Were you seen at any point?"

"Not as a human. I was either hidden, invisible, or disguised as a Skaven or Goblin the entire time."

"Good." He's silent for about a dozen stairs, thinking. "Were you a Ranger, I'd say that you risked tipping off the enemy. But a Zhufokrul has a different set of tools. I'll trust you knew what you were doing."
I've got to say, Doppelganger as a spell is completely busted. The shenanigans you can pull off by looking like something else, or even as a generic member of race X, are hilarious.

And it is one of the first true shadow magics that can be taught. Relatively simple, with an infinite amount of possibilities.

Well, the gatehouse fight was still something of a meatgrinder, but it was far less of one than it could have been since the bolt throwers/spear chukkas were out of commission, the Goblins were eaten, and the Slayers (who want to die) tanked the casualties, and a swiftly resolved meatgrinder at that.

Other than that, yes.

We're we'll on our way to be the most well regarded human since Sigmar himself. Based on performance so far, I'd say the only one who has done more to get this going is Belegar, because he did organize it (though we helped a fair bit there as well). And K8P is the second most important Karak in the whole Karaz Ankor, as far as I'm aware.

Wonder if we'll get some sort of Master Saboteur trait if this keeps happening. Though I'm not sure 'Master' would be exactly correct. It's almost accidental half the time.

The arguments for this are compelling. Maybe we can kick of another rout.

[X] Kragg and his Unsealing.

I want to do an action to protect morale. If they somehow manage to take out Kragg, that would be an immense loss, and I would prefer to cover for it.

Plus one of his targets was already declared clear, so it shouldn't take too long, so we might get lucky and can go on to another area after that.
