Ehhh not really. More like we were extremely helpful in setting it up so the Dwarves of the Vanguard could get the foothold and foot in the door they needed.
I mean as far as I can tell we stopped the orkish artillery, ensured that the only casulties on the front door would be Slayers who want to die, managed to sabotage the Skaven Goblin alliance and put the Cresent Moon out for the count...

We certainly made it much easier I'd say.
74 vs 68 is my reading, Goblins take it but by a hair.

Unless there were more modifiers we didn't see. A +5 "Beastmasters" for the Goblin and a +15 "Trolls are scary" bonus would account for the rest.
Although this may be about to rapidly change?

Yeah that's basically what I'm saying. We gave them a very nice foothold with which to whack the rest of the Karag into shape on a silver plate.

I guess we geeked the current Crooked Moon Lord, huh?
YYyyyyeah, this was pretty much "Utopic unrealistic scenario that is not going to happen" in my mind. Went straight past "Good outcomes that could realistically happen" straight into realms of fantasy.

So if I read this right we managed to almost single handidly retake one of the eight peaks...is that about accurate?
Nah. We did contribute stupidly much for a single person, though.

Well this peak.

Which was what I was saying, we handed them this peak almost single handidly, not the entire Karak, cause you know...its known as eight peaks for a reason.

For the over all retaking of the Karak heck yeah.

With luck the Dwarfs will remember this and who knows, maybe we can score another thing of Karag.

More importantly, that was a shitton of trolls that just got pushed off the table for no significant gain on the enemy side. They eat a lot and hundreds of them is a massive scale investment--they wouldn't be able to support many more in this mountain alone--maybe a handful of stray individuals, but no distinct units anymore.

Crooked Moon's back has been broken, and more importantly--thanks to their hilarious rolls vs the Skaven--the fact the Skaven might have cottoned on (And the fact that shortly after the dispute started, we hit them like the fist of god), means that the Skaven clan will be the one who take the heat for this if there are any Crooked Moon survivors after this to plot revenge, and since there were likely no Skaven survivors (Barring peak level horseshit like the Lord waving his hand and teleporting to safety sight unseen after looting the remaining warpstone),

All in all? It was a good job of work, now we need to make sure we can capitalize on it by keeping our momentum from getting bogged down until we've hit the chokepoint. We keep riding this well and we might be able to seize a second peak before we need to bunker down.

[X] Remain with Belegar.

Mathilde's spent all day running around fighting and running and doing all manner of strenuous activity. Time for a little break now, luxuriate in our accomplishment.

Holy guacamole, we may be giving the dwarfs a very inflated opinion of what to expect of a Mhornokrul. And I guess the king is a bit unsettled that when the day comes to write the songs, he will have to lie even more than expected.
