Heaven is a mess, this tree will be our outpost there, and it will probably be under regular attacks by Daemons and the like, it will need a strong guard, and it will need to be strong, using one of the oldest trees we have access to, sound to me like a very good idea.I want to keep the tree from Storm's End. That thing is from the Age of Heroes and will have a very nice range.
Heaven can get a newer tree.
So it's now easier to get the old gods to calm down about the Seven, especially I suspect, if we can convince the Seven to dedicate forces to fighting the Void.No you would have gotten that on a regular success, the crit was getting the OG to be more focused on the Enemy overall as opposed to other grudges.
Anyway it's ridiculously late now guys so good night, see you tomorrow with more from Heaven's Shore
Their grudge against the Seven is slightly lessened in importance, but I suspect the real gain, is that their grudge against the Others was massively strengthened, since the stronger their grudge against the Others, the more forgiveness it will buy the Seven, if they send forces to assist in fighting the Others.Wait wait wait. @DragonParadox, so we crit here, and now the Old Gods' vengeance against the Andals is even more lessened?
Gods be damned, this was the single greatest thing I could have hoped for. I shall sacrifice in the name of the Dice Gods today.
The worth of Winterborn to the old gods just increased(not the worth in term of HD modifiers, worth in term of how much their opinion of you will improve per Winterborn killed) which mean the Seven can now pay a bigger chunk of their debt, by assisting in the war against the Others.
My guess on the currency of an intact heaven, would be that they still traded in soul-stuff, but it was harvested in a distinctly different manner than Great brass seals, when we sold our shadow no pain or suffering was involved, and we collected new EXP and regrew said shadow, I would guess that Heavenly coins were forged in a similar manner to that, people sold small amounts of EXP, and then they regained it slowly by experiencing new things.
No it's simply that the old gods are grumpy old people, and you know how grumpy old people can get, with a lifespan of less than a century on average, the old gods on the other hand, has had many millennia to get ever more grumpy.... Are the First Men secretly really tall dwarves, while the CotF are just really hipster ones?
Because they fucking run on grudge power.
