No you would have gotten that on a regular success, the crit was getting the OG to be more focused on the Enemy overall as opposed to other grudges.

Anyway it's ridiculously late now guys so good night, see you tomorrow with more from Heaven's Shore
Wait wait wait. @DragonParadox, so we crit here, and now the Old Gods' vengeance against the Andals is even more lessened?

Gods be damned, this was the single greatest thing I could have hoped for. I shall sacrifice in the name of the Dice Gods today.

Slightly yes, their priorities have shifted to older grudges.
Excellent.

For what to do, I want to follow Lya's desires and get us a nice collection of history books from their library.

I'm not sure what to say to the approaching devils, though. There's really not much of an explanation other than that we're just looking to trade in the city.

I see the Old Gods also keep to form, using their grudges to great effect.

Of course, I bet you 5 Imperial Marks that Lucan made a shrine to the Seven in the respective court :V

We are going to transplant as many trees as we can now. All the Beyond the Wall trees, now in heaven.

Edit: I know it is ambitious but I really want to do it.

Again, @DragonParadox, @Azel:

Wow. For, so many things. Amazing.

Anyways, before we discuss where we should go, what do we want to do?

At the least, some books are always interesting to use imo, so might as well look into that for some background info.

Would anyone be interested in smuggling any dawnfruit here, or would there be any point in doing so? The fact that dawnfruit is being grown might be worth more than an individual fruit itself to the survivors here imo.

I'd personally like a list of the gods here, though spending a lot of time near zealots is unappealing.

Finally, I wish to avoid the boss devil here as I see little we can gain from such a meeting, epically with such little information.

No opinion on the head angel person at this time, though they are likely to be watched.

I want to keep the tree from Storm's End. That thing is from the Age of Heroes and will have a very nice range.

Heaven can get a newer tree.

If it is easy to transplant a tree, then I don't mind, but if it takes effort, I would prefer to just use the one tree we have to move anyway - and I get the impression that the older, the better. But that's a later conversation.

Oh, I wonder if acclimatisation via earth tree bring done first is still useful. I still want to do it regardless if it is or isn't.

----
Not sure what we can say to the devil's tbh.

Something something, sometimes a person has to, at least once, face the dark? I'm spitballing here tbh.

Edit: anyway, sleepppp

I don't doubt Lucan has been to Heaven during his extraplanar trips. I also have little to no doubt that Lucan built a temple to the Seven down here.

The thing is these trees that are candidates for transplanting (Storm's End's tree, trees from Beyond the Wall, etc.) are all old and very powerful. That's the kind of power I want concentrated in our heart of power. That enlarged range is something we could and should be taking advantage of.

I'm okay with a few being moved to Heaven, but I'd much rather keep most of them. With new trees on the other hand I'm perfectly okay with moving those to Heaven.

Wait the trees grow fairly instantaneously with blood sacrifices. Why do they need a tree transplant? Is it because they want a powerful tree to stare their old enemy in the face?

When a Heart Tree is grown, it taps into the local ambient magic, preferably into a Ley Line, to gather power.

Over here though...

*points at the little hole in the universe*

It might be advisable to not have the roots blindly digging around for something to tap into.

@Duesal, I just recalled. The Elemental Gods appear to exist, or at least worshipped enough for one to curse by with.
Huh. We'll definitely need to keep that in mind, then.

The problem is the act of growing a tree here through blood sacrifice is apparently dangerous as hell. Hence Bloodraven's instructions to transplant an already-grown tree instead.

We need to bring the chosen to heaven and give them a history lesson... get Lucan to understand the only reason his gods skill live is because no one could get to the Prime Plane in the first place. Now that people can and the seven stand in the way giving people blessings and power their realms are going to be big juicy targets.

I think that we should get a political sense of the landscape here, and also ask about the threats still present in this plane.

And survivors too.

Hot Damn. Viserys' shenanigans are always amazing

Also didn't see a lot of people commenting on Margery's interlude so I just wanted to chime in that I find it hilarious how she's been morphing into an adventuring gremlin instead of the perfect prim lady she was in canon. Also did we ever 100% confirm that the Tyrell's actually wanted to wed her to the Fey King? Always thought they were trying for Viserys first with a that as a distant Plan D.

We definitely need to do some info-gathering before we make any big moves.

I really want to outright make some contacts while we shop around here. Shopkeepers, spies, etc. Maybe even a few unhinged clerics, so long as they're not dangerous.

But above all I really want to visit the library. Hopefully we can find enough uncensored material.

Actually, the tree from Storm's End would be perfect, dude. It needs to be moved to appease Stormy, and it being old should be ideal to transplant to Hellven. It'll be stronger and capable of serving as a more resilient connection for the OG compared to a fresh Heart Tree.

We'll just need to power it up. Given the state of Hellven, though, we should probably stick to sacrificing Daemons, Demons, and Farspawn. No Devils, just in case.

But I don't want to give up a powerful tree like that. :( It's thousands of years old, and it's range is so much larger than what we've got ("what we've got" referring to new Heart Trees).

I think he already knows. It would explain the reaction of the Knight we kidnapped, who had been sworn to secrecy about what he saw out in the Planes. It makes sense that one of the first places Lucan would go when he gained the ability to travel the Planes would be Heaven. I wouldn't be surprised if he has contacts in Heaven's Shore, or has at least been here.

Yeah, we got confirmation.
