You know, I made an angry post a while back. It really was excessively snippy, and barely constructive at all.
Then I realized what I'd done, and I shut up.
Everyone else should do that too, it helps us avoid getting too snippy.

It has. Massively so. Seeing this thread for a good while from the other side of the screen and reading the entire discussion while being unable to interact with it was... sobering...

Just deal with it in a manner that will satisfy our Old God allies and I could care less if the faith is united. if it isn't necessary then so be it. That is the main goal now tbh.

People, I have to just sort of be explicit about his right now, but @Goldfish's vote will not work. She is not listening for justifications. The minute we release the hostages, she will dart within bare inches of polite farewell to go and confirm their safety, double and triple check them for any missing parts of added bits like enchantment.

We explicitly need a break between compromising with her, and meeting in peace with her and Lucan.

And all of the concerns that Goldfish's vote expresses? Can be covered by undergoing clear communication with the other party. Lucan was (probably) involved with Baelor being summoned to the Material as a suped up King Killer. Why? We don't know, but I bet you Lucan will contrive a reason to bring it up, or give us cause to reference it. But thrusting it in her face right now is counter productive.

I encourage you to read my vote and the underlying motives behind it that I discussed in the last couple of pages.

To be frank, I don't overly mind. I've genuinely been having a whole lot of fun with the conclave, even if things really were not going our way since the beginning. Lucan being reasonable just made him more interesting, even if I was disappointed by him apparently putting the God as a person above the values which made him follow said God.

But the latest two updates... Weren't fun. The penultimate one had me going "huh, why am I thinking of Embra right now?". The last one had Viserys follow the plan like an automaton and it ended up looking like two entirely different conversations were taking place.

But that's way too much weariness. Kidnapping Pixie was unintentional, our bad. But we had several good reasons to go after Lucan's entourage.

I think the exhaustion comes from "Oh god I've actually lost" and "This is the second time this month someone's nailed me to the cross for my ethics." The tiredness seems more from wounded pride in my eyes.

I'll adjust it, but just in general this entire series of events has been fairly training and bitter for Viserys so I feel some semblance of the "facade" cracking not only makes us more human, but honestly channels the thread's feelings, on either side of the divide about this arc.
