The head of his axe alone is probably about as big as our entire body.Even if we weren't a wizard, we're still good equipped to fight the guy. We've got superior mobility or at least are on the same level. DO's got the grace of mountain goat and we can do 200 miles per day in mountains which can put any goat to shame. We've got rune of toughness, thick magical armor and five lives in total, which puts us on par with DO in terms of damage soaking. And every strike we take is going to be reflected twice on the attacker - Rune of Spite, remember? We're a bit low on damage dealing but I'm pretty sure "why are you hitting yourself" strategy can do it even if everything else fails.
Yeah, we're screwed on anything but glancing hit (though it depends on how strong a rune Kragg added to our belt) but we will come back four times while he's getting a runic retribution each time. And if we die because he saw us, and turned us into lunch, then they won't even have a warning.The problem it just runing back to report is that we won't be doing our job, we know there is a dragon ogre but thats it, we don't know if its alone, if there is a clan around here or even if there is whole chaos army the other side of the mountains, and since we are here as a scout, finding about those things is basicaly why we are, if the army has to pass here whitout realy knowing what is around we didn't do our job right.

Can he survive a dragon ogre twice his strength chewing on his skull? Keeping in mind that our skull is supernaturally durable, and that he won't merely suffer twice the force it'd take to mulch human bones.

Mathilde also has no mundane skills at scouting or stealth, and all her stealth spells only last a few minutes, as far as I can see. I am not confident that she can track the Dragon Ogre and remain undetected.

The Seed of Regrowth is not, in point of fact, an infallible tool of resurrection. It's very useful if we fall in battle where the chaos and tumult can shield us from view while we get back on our feet, but against something like a Dragon Ogre I would almost call it a liability, because it means if we get grabbed, Mathilde's bad end gets drawn out into a nightmare scenario of repeatedly waking up in time to feel herself be eaten alive.

Because it still takes time to regenerate, and if say, he smushes our bones, that means it'll take some time to heal.The Seed of regrownt grants perfect regeneration, so that is no probem and thus if he builds distance better for us.

I said that "We probably wouldn't survive"? But no, I don't think he can survive being chewed up by something with twice his jaw strength, much less four times over. And he can't do the second option, because the moment he lets up we Wizard at him some more; Dhar is notable for being exceptionally easy to get into if we feel desperate at that point, to say nothing of any of the more standard options we possess, like just running away with our tireless mount that he can't outspeed because it sprints half again as fast as a sprinting mortal horse except endlessly and without regard for dubious terrain.He's pretty damn tough, more so then us at any rate.
