By the time we will have sufficient interest in Quaarth to contemplate an invasion, we probably have a land border with them. The best case scenario would be putting either a puppet or ally in charge of qaarth. It's too far to directly control and it would still give us control over trade between the near and far east
By the time we will have sufficient interest in Quaarth to pull contemplate an invasion, we probably have a land border with them.
So taking over ourselves is perfectly viable at that point.
That's way too blatantly "Viserys was here." We can't give them one of those for a long, long time.We plan to give the Royces a sand communication device right? Not only will that allow Waymar to speak with family more but they can contact us quickly if needed.
Also this: Runesmith – Class – D&D Tools[X] TotallyNotEvil
Sad we don't see Waymar do a Henshin yet until later tomorrow for most of you.
Which reminds me...
On another note, @Goldfish, @TotallyNotEvil, is there a Wizard that specialized in Runecraft in D&D?
I like this one! Go Wizard X/Fighter 1/Runesmith 5. Plus if he/she takes an item creation feat it can easily fluffed as being done with runes inscribed into the item.
Shadow Sculptor
Spellcasting: Must be able to spontaneously cast 3rd level Arcane spells.
Feat: Spell Focus(Illusion)
Spells: Must be able to cast at least one Illusion spell of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level, and must know at least two spells with the (Shadow) descriptor.
Skills: Knowledge(Arcana) 9 ranks, Knowledge(The Planes) 9 ranks, Spellcraft 9 ranks.
Hit Die: d6
Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier.
Class Features:
Shadow-Tracer: The Shadow Sculptor begins their journey toward mastering the art of manipulating the stuff of Shadow by first learning to infuse this ephemeral substance into their own body. As a Swift Action, she may sacrifice a spell slot of 3rd level or higher to temporarily gain the Shadow-Traced template. This transformation persists for up to one minute per level of the spell slot used, plus one minute Shadow Sculptor level, but can be dismissed at will as a Swift Action. When the transformation ends, the Shadow Sculptor becomes Fatigued for twice as long as they used the template and cannot reacquire it until the condition no longer applies. At 3rd level the maximum duration of the transformation doubles, and at 5th level the Shadow Sculptor can freely switch between her base and Shadow-Traced forms as a Swift Action, without sacrificing a spell slot or suffering Fatigue. Shadow Traces created by the Shadow Sculptor cannot cast spells.
Lesser Shadow Amalgamation: The Shadow Sculptor learns to combine lesser Shadow magics to accomplish greater effects. This duplicates the Versatile Spellcaster feat to a limited extent, allowing for two spell slots to be combined into a single spell slot one level higher. Only spell levels at which she knows Shadow spells are eligible for this effect. For example, Teana wishes to combine two 3rd level spells in order to cast a 4th level Shadow Conjuration. Because she knows at least one 3rd level Shadow spell, she is able to use this ability. If she tried to combine two 2nd level slots to cast a 3rd level Shadow Enchantment spell, however, the attempt would fail since she does not know any 2nd level Shadow spells.
Shadow Shaping: The Shadow Sculptor grows ever more adept at manipulating the Shadow from which many of her spells are crafted. Once per day per Shadow Sculptor level, she may apply the Enlarge, Extend, Focused, Piercing, or Solid Shadows Metamagic feat to a Shadow spell without increasing its level or casting time. Only one such effect can be applied at a time and doing so prevents any other Metamagic from being used to augment the spell.
Greater Shadow Amalgamation: What is Shadow but another form of Illusion? The Shadow Sculptor has learned to apply her Shadow Amalgamation to all Illusion spells, not just those with the Shadow descriptor.
Shadow Mastery: The Shadow Sculptor forms a permanent connection to the Plane of Shadow which greatly enhances her work. She increases the DC of all her Illusion spells by +1, the DC and caster level of all Shadow spells by +2, and her Shadow spells are 10% more real than normal. These bonuses stack with those gained from the Spell Focus feat and Solid Shadows Metamagic. Lastly, whenever she casts a Shadow spell, there is a 50% chance the spell slot used to power the spell is not expended.

One thing about my class is that it woulld give us something of an "in" for Shadowcasting.
She can study Garin's inherent abilities to get some very limited Shadowcasting, a future student can learn from her limited Shadowcasting to become a true Shadowcaster.
It's a path to broaden our arsenal in the long run.
The class doesn't appeal much to me, but it's always nice to have more options.@Artemis1992 why does that class appeal to you? Looks... Flawed to me, ya know, with all my lack of knowledge of d&D. Basically internet says it's crap, so.. can you explain how someone was wrong on the internet!? 'cuz I thought that didn't happen
@Goldfish
I'm not sure how Shadow Traced works for a caster.
Would all three copies cast with her simultaneously, or independantly from her available spellslots?
Both are pretty heavy for a Sorcerer, basically quadroupling firepower for her.
And I'm not really seeing two class-features that are limited versions of Versatile Spellcaster, it seems kinda like an unneeded complcation when she could just take the feat?
Shadeweaver is nice for short progression too, since TNE convinced to put the lost CL on the last level.Artemis' PrC was interesting and I wouldn't mind Teana using it, especially if she was going to be a party member PC. She's not, though, so a 10 level progression PrC is wasted on her. Shadow Sculptor is good for Teana if she only ever picks up the one level when(if) she reaches 10th level.

Just level 1 gives her Solid Shadows as bonus feat, which is good for her build so far and the second gives her a bonus on Sense Motive that's unrelated to her classlevel, which is good to have in our teacher of dangerous and easily abused magical arts.
