[ ] Qhaysh Skunkworks: It would take careful study to unlock the secrets of the liquid. It would take considerably less time to find out if it can be made to burn, or explode, or do something militarily useful.

I really think we should do this. It could easily help out the siege a lot.

It couldn't. It'd probably increase our personal capabilities, but it's been made clear that anything we can do on a strategic scale is basically gated behind either learning battle magic or rolling double criticals (I think).

[X] Promote Internally - Best for morale, but brings nothing new to the table
This is the most pressing issue, and it's what we came here for.

[X] Dog Breeder - Stirland Terriers become part of the Watch

@BoneyM Can we have a little more info on what the different options for the pistols from Nuln means mechanically? Or alternatively, does it make sense for it to be a subvote in the next update, instead of as part of the plan voting?

If you mean dice rolls, there's no mechanical difference between them, it changes what situations the pistols would be useful in and what sort of effect they would have. And it actually is a good idea to make it a subvote in the update after it is taken, I'll edit it accordingly.

[ ] Gun Shopping: You're currently using a pistol that was a spare for the pistoliers. Visit Nuln to upgrade. (will trigger a subvote next turn for what type and how many)

Thanks!

I don't think it's just that? The QM has said that our personal contribution to the campaign is unlikely to be of significance, but having a room full of magic juice we can turn into a firestrorm is definitely useful. Like, our help would be the indirect sort.

We have very little magic juice. A few gallons is barely anything; I could drink it in a day, if it was tasty.

I've said that your possible contribution to the phase of the Purge where it's a year-long slog of a million skirmishes was minimal. Things, as you've already seen in the Battle of Fang Island, are different in large-scale battles.

[X] Pistolier - Watchmen become proficient with pistols, carry them on patrol

[X] Dog Breeder - Stirland Terriers become part of the Watch

That's one way to look at it. A hero unit is wasted in skirmishes that the troops are going to win anyway, but they can shine on the battlefield.

[] Promote Internally - Best for morale, but brings nothing new to the table
[] Dog Breeder - Stirland Terriers become part of the Watch

As has been said the whole point of finding trainers was to help improve the morale of the watch so promote internally makes sense. Dog's are man's best friend so will probably also help.

[] Plan An interview with a Vampire
-[] Countess Gabriella von Bundebad appeared to quite well informed, arrange some meetings with her.
--[] Ranald's Blessing
-[] Attach yourself to the army so you can join in the final push of the Purge of the Haunted Hills. (specify which regiment to join; can join the artillery under Narfi of the Throng of Zhufbar).
--[] General Staff

So it's time we got some real intelligence done on the enemy forces. Fortunately, we know someone who seems to be in the know and since she's clearly a loyal tax paying noble it makes perfect sense to arrange to have tea with her and have some discussions about what she knows. And if her information is good then perhaps she would be amenable to keeping us informed on a more permanent basis in exchange for certain privileges (perhaps her genealogical records will be conveniently found and witch hunters will be informed that there's clearly nothing of interest going on here).

So since we're about to have our final push this would be a great time to know what the enemy forces are capable of and what they consist of. If we're really lucky we might even manage to have Gabriella perform some sabotage to weaken our enemies or pull in some orcs to cause a distraction.

Edit: removed the subvote --[] Preferably at noon with your greatswords from dealing with the countess. I assume that Weber knows to be careful when dealing with a vampire and doesn't need it explicitely stated.

The most likely method for holding a meeting will be during the day, outside and with a large contingent of guards but I doubt Gabrielle would try to attack even if we don't take precautions since Weber was in close quarters with her once before and was fine.

As a reminder - This is the last Purge Turn before the assault on Drakenhof
So if we want to get intel on the enemy this is the time to do it, since otherwise it will be too late.

Edit again: plan has been changed sufficiently that it is now a new plan. see Warhammer Fantasy: Divided Loyalties - an Advisor's Quest

[X] Plan Wizardening
-[X] Enchantment: You're naturally talented at enchantment; so far, this just amounts to being able to make your desk meow for about an hour. See if you can improve on that, or at least figure out a way to make that useful.
-[X] Qhaysh Juice: Whatever it is, it's dripping out of the box at a steady rate. You've got several gallons of the stuff and it's still coming out. It's got to be good for something.

[X] Trade Delegation: Convince Wilhelmina and Markus to partner your network with the EIC based on the value of market information.
[X]Currently, solid waste is sent by cart and wagon out to the fields for a pittance. It could instead be used to create market gardens along the banks of the Stir (hopefully downwind) and increase revenue and provide jobs for the desperate by growing a variety of cash crops.

Like having dogs around could possibly lower morale. Adorable and deadly! The ole' one-two!

Don't really have a strong feeling on this, but I prefer it to the checking up on the possible-vampress.

So... Do you guys also wish to husbandu our witch hunter count?
Yes, but there has been a vote on this long ago. As it stands, for the forseeable future, we currently think he's really hot, but are too busy with our work to consider pursuing him (if we even could, considering the ramifications of such a relationship [though it continues to prove to me that SV is unable to not pair Electors with wizards])

It best fits our vision for the watch (the War Below and general skulking) while addressing the current problem we were trying to address that was accidentally made worse (promoting for morale). We need to remember both what the organization is for, but also why we chose the action in the first place.

[X] Plan Arm Thyself

With Drakenhof coming up, I feel this is for the best. I'm terribly tempted by Plan Wizarding, but as it doesn't have a concrete beneficial result we can use in the coming battle, I'm defaulting to this.

we've got a morale problem that needs solving. also, dogs are multi-purpose: companions, hunters, trackers, etc etc.

(and, I'm not gonna lie, part of me went "!!! puppers!!!" as soon as the option was available.)

[X] Doctor - Watchmen learn first aid

I don't really get why dog breeders is so high up. They don't seem to bring much to the table, and unless we take it with Promote Internally I don't see the morale hit being worth it.

putting aside the immediate reaction of "!!! puppers!!!", dogs are actually really good for a police force. they can be trained to sniff out lots of different stuff, can be combat trained (especially since the QM has said that these are actually waist-high dogs), and serve as good companions. I'm not knocking your choices (I'd love for the Watch to learn first-aid), just trying to explain.
