Isn't there a Saddle Arabia?
And there is likely to be many other (possibly OC) countries as well.
Like the Caribou and Diamond Dogs.

Well, there is a Saddle Arabia in canon...dunno about this AU, so I am not counting them atm.

As for the Caribou and non-Gryphus DDs, nothing yet points towards them housing our people as slaves, although since the Caribou are based on the Vikings, they might have some.

I think they're mainly trading gold from Maretonia's end, so it doesn't sound like they're trading slaves. Although maybe that's just not mentioned in the text.

I thought it was explicitly stated that some slaves were sold away from Maretonia...might be mistaken, though.

Regardless of whether or not Maretonia sold slaves to whomever they have trading agreements with, they still gain money from it that nourishes their economy...bears consideration either way

Kind of like how chimps are animals similar and related fo humans but are not humans
yep. I mean, both Diamond Dogs and normal dogs exists here. Same for abyssinian and normal cats.
True, but the line in MLP is a bit more blurred then our reality, I think.
Plus there are talking sea monsters, and the only time an Ursa was on the show(that I remember at least) it was a baby throwing a tantrum. The Major may be capable of speech too.
Also this is basically an AU via expanded universe.
Just my thoughts, all I was getting at.

THat's fair, I just think a nation of ursa majors is unlikely.

For one they're even bigger than the biggest dragon shown on the show!

Also... you know, looking at your avatar I'm now fearing a bear country ruled by Monokuma. He's the perfect nat1 result!

And with enslavement collars. Tech baed this time rather than magic? Have them all be bomb collars that explode if they leave their designated areas.

Soldeirs are made the offer. Kill 100 enemies and their families (or them) will have plentiful food and water for a year (does not stack)

Kill a 1,000 and they become officers and they get a stipend of food and water greater than normal as well as a higher quality dwelling (which isnt much compared to the ghettos they nornally live in).

Kill 10,000 and they may choose a single other bear and they will have their collar removed and they lose all accumilated kills.

This will lead to an army of soldiers whose goals are to kill as many as possible before they die in hopes of at least keeping their families from slowly starving to death and with dreams of finally saving at least one other bear.....

Sometimes it is about what strings you pull and in this case... It would make the most fierce and determined army we have faced yet due to their urgent need to save their families and the hope of saving them....

Sorry, tend to be very very dark when I drink

Doesn't have to be a nation, they could just be like tribal or something, but yeah, while it is unlikely, it is distinctly not impossible.

Puhuhuhuhu! You thought MAGIC was BAD, let me show you the SCIENCE of DESPAIR! I'll crush your pathetic HOPE for a better FUTURE! Oh, I can hardly BEAR to wait, so let's not!
Let's give it everything we've got!
It's PUNISHMENT TIME!
[ GAME OVER Griffonia has been found guilty. It's time for the punishment!]
But seriously if you want to have a villain just as bad, if not worse, than Sombra, a Monokuma equivalent would certainly do the trick. His special generals would probably be Ultimates.

Why does it have to be an army, What is so dangerous about MonoKuma and villains like them is their ability to understand others and how they work, They then apply pressure until they snap. MonoKuma could be a terrorist, enflaming war, religious intolerance, and Racism.

Yes, but
he technically did have an army in the games. All those rioters around the globe with monokuma masks. Led by the Ultimate Despairs.
They aren't mutually exclusive.

Welp, now I am scareed of any ideas we have given the GM.

Bear terrorist whose whole deal is despair and the crushing of hope sounds actually possible and frankly terrifying

Hey some of us didn't give any ideas here. Besides I really don't want to deal with another war when we already have the slavers to the south of the Crystal Empire, and who knows what monsters could be waiting in the snow anyway.

Straight riffing off something like danganronpa doesnt really sound all that appealing to me. So I'm going to hope he doesnt.

If bears are a civ? That'd be cool tho. Could be anywhere from Canada to Russia with them.

A few new portraits from an upcoming update to the Equestria at War mod:

Some horrifying combination of the two?

Normally Canadian in mannerism but when angered they become pissed off russians?
Could be anywhere from 'communism actually works because everyone wants to work together and all they want to do is play hockey all day' to 'resource hungry menace with spear skills honed from centuries of nigh killing each other in the blood sport known as hockey.'

Kronemark (K.M)

Alright, @Questor , I'll toss a fleeting lament at follow the money!
@Questor, my +10 (There'll Always Be Griffonia) to Canterbury Magic Experts.
I give Moon Mad and Brightstone at follow the money and fleeting lament @Questor
Welp. Thank you for letting me know. Stay awesome.

Oh magical @Questor, i hereby give brightstone to island investment.

I think this is all the omakes assigned to Actions. Have I missed any?

...... Now I am imagining their partners being bears....

The Maretonians can't get enough of that Sugar Crisp.

Honestly, I'm the most scared of an enemy that doesn't act like a mind controlled mob. Something that actually runs away when it realizes that it's just feeding its own troops into the grinder, that instead tries to find a way around, or comes back with ranged weaponry for sniping and artillery to wear down our defenses with. Something that might use hit and run tactics, or use magic to neutralize our fortifications so they can use maneuver warfare instead of just funneling their troops into our fortifications' kill zones.
And I expect Maretonia to potentially be an enemy like that, since unlike Sombra their troops have self preservation. The slave soldiers might be thrown against our walls to die, but the knights would likely rebel if they were told to do that.
