Say guys quick question but will muskets be better to have now or should we stick to what weapons we have no, also are we going all in for canons or are we keeping the ballistas as well?
Muskets are kind of bad on their own. We are also very far from them we haven't even gotten arquebuses yet. We will keep the balistas because they are still very powerful and unlike the cannon can be moved much easier and made smaller.

Our lands are a bit unsuited for the rice paddies. We could probably grow them but swamps are not actually the place you want to do that in. It takes more than wetlands to make the planting possible. You need to control the water and what is in it swamps are full of things that would just kill the crops instead.

We could learn terrace farming for the mountains. We are mountany, so it could work. unless the mountains here are not as vegetation-filled as they are in south America

We are mining the hell out of our mountains we are unlikely to let them be used for farming. All of our mountains are full of minerals and resources that will take a very long time before we ever start running out.

Oooh, terrace farming would be nice. Completely forgot about that. Could share that tech with the yks too, unless they already have it.

The word rice made me think about that when mentioned with the swamps. all that water would have a place to go with our pumps.

Not all mountains are equal when it comes to minerals. It is not like every single mountain or foothilll is a mine or has mineral wealth, I bet.

Except our mountains are. that is literally our thing we crited when we looked to see how rich the veins were in our lands.

On the yaks... have we shared our sombra intel with em yet? I can't see any reason not too, and it wasn't mentioned in the last post, I don't think. Given we're in this war together, keeping them informed and trying to come up with solutions together seems prudent. Such as decisions like contacting the qilin.

Yes we would have told them what we found. Both the war, our gift, and the information they received is what is pushing them to modernize.

this point they know we have seen their ships. If we keep pushing it off then they can take it as an insult and possible hostile actions from us.

this doesn't make much sense. They avoided us when our ships tried to reach out to them, and it's our fault because we never went to talk them in their homeland :???:?

i checked the update but i can't see any mention of us informing the Yaks about the recent intel on Sombra.

I expect we'll have the chance to inform them this turn anyway, maybe with a "personal" visit (and not, hopefully, a diplomacy one)

Even then, cant see why we can't farm on em. Unless youre worried about the farms collapsing on top of a mine or something. Veins tend to ve just that, veins. There'll be places of just rock that should be perfectly safe to farm on for steppe farming.

Maybe set up an allied war council? If theyre willing to contribute, we can discuss fortifications along our border and what steps weve taken against sombra, and if they want to help with said fortifications/have any plans of their own we can hlep with.

there is runoff and toxic things involved after mining.

or am I thinking of modern mining?

random thought: I'm still waiting for the changelings.

Also a bit curious about what's happening in Equestria, but mostly changeling.

Well, theres still that strange gryphon we met waaaay back... Perhaps weve already met them and havent noticed.

As for actually 100% encountering them for reals... Itll be interesting, for sure. Especially since we dont really have any defenses against them.

Don't forget that the lands are all shuffled up, for all we know the changelings are on the exact opposite side of the planet from us, it could be an extremely long time till we encounter them, or we might never encounter them.

Or Daybreaker disposed her sister and is on a path of conquest and barbeque.
But that is not very likely.
Oh hai daybreaker... you seem up for a BBQ. Well do I have the civilization to burn for you!

You see that reaaaaal cold place over there? That's not here? Yeah, they seem like they could use some fun time in the sun, dont ya think?

Oh, dont let us keep you. Now we'll just wait here and cheer for you. Real far away.

And totally not hope for your mutual destruction. Nope.

I just found and binge-read this quest. It's been fun, but I do find it wonderfully ironic that the quest named "Who Needs Harmony?" features multiple separate races coming together to fight a common foe and their Windigos. This new empire is turning out to be much more diverse and accepting than Age of Harmony Equestria. :p

"Who needs harmony?"

Evidently, we do.

Equestria can keep their "fires of friendship".

Our flames are better :D

We're even going to ask for a few tips from the fire nation itself!

(Also we have a dragon, just give her time)
