Do any of you want to combine your votes with Rebuild and Expand to beat the current leader?
I already did:@Nachtigall

I didn't switch to Rebuild and Expand since I consider the logging action time sensitive (as explained in that post), but I voted for both.
You do know that we only aren't taking military option from that plan in let the lm grieve?
You basically want to go into depth, a thing that is frowned upon by the populous and can cost as the crown if taken to much.
While on other hand with let them grieve we are letting people mourn their losses and will get profit from the plan next turn giving us founds to take military option and more.
Funny enough I actually agree with the "let them mourn" not being a relevant argument. No, according to the QM the people don't care if we go into debt, it only matters if the debt sticks around over multiple turns. The plan also lets people mourn just as much, rebuilding the military does nothing to stop people grieving whatsoever.

True, but I still like the idea of having our military ready, it can be useful for dealing with any monsters that are still in our land.Funny enough I actually agree with the "let them mourn" not being a relevant argument.
Still, even ignoring debt preferences, delaying the army for one turn does come with reduced costs in the form of reduced hiring costs and upkeep starting later.
But if there's no downsides to debt if we pay it off than there's no reason to be afraid of it.Still there really is no need to go into depth. We had expensive options before and we still took them when we had a time.

The entire reason I went to the effort of building a plan myself in the first place was because I wanted to finally get those goddamn trees chopped down. Which neither of the leading votes has, of course.
The reason I went with the swamps in my plan was that I wanted to start the longer options early, but next turn we would have a stewardship slot open to use on logging. The entire reason I went to the effort of building a plan myself in the first place was because I wanted to finally get those goddamn trees chopped down. Don't we have to send our soldiers out to kill some of the monsters in order for us to cut the trees down?
Sure, but at least some of that wood would be going straight into the military supply chain. And if it's numbers that are the concern, a single squad would probably be enough for our initial operations, and that's like, 10 people.
