Seems like Mushrooms are gonna win over better Equipment, because Mushrooms are gonna help so much with Aquilia. GRRR YOU DONT WISH TO ATTACK US BECAUSE WE HAVE THE DREADED MUSHROOM! *JK*
Right just found this and @Questor I just want to thank you for this Christmas gift!

I love this idea, griffins are some of my favorite mythological creatures and this is everything I want in a quest.

As for my first vote...

[X] Plan Helping out a Friend

Looking it over this is the best for long term strategy. The last few turn show that the best path forward is to diplomatically isolate Aquilia then use them as an external threat to get them under our aegis. Which seems to be helped by the fact they are militarily aggressive and likely to push others into our waiting hands. Both plans do this but getting the ballista is better now because we can both use it in the battle and work towards dealing with the smoky mountain if its a dragon.

Also @Questor is the marriage option just getting a list or are we choosing who we marry too? I ask because some people we're worried about the mystery person we meet and if she is a candidate some might want to investigate first.

Edit: my vote didn't count first time in tally, should be fixed now.

Um you voted for Mushrooms not Bows

@Questor have you tried just posting the pic directly on here or something?
Edit: can anyone actually access the map?

Even on my computer i cant see the map  can someone post it on sv.
Map is dead.

What you need to know is Wingbardy is between Griffonia and Aquileia. Wingbardy is more screwed than initial assement, they are a thin rectangle with no natural barriers, sea is lethal to Wingbardy as two nations roar. Aquileia is probably near Equestria, but they are land locked except for access to a inland sea whose exit is the territory of Griffonia (what is the name of our nation, anyway? Griffonia or Gryphus Empire?). IIRC Aquileia is to the left/west of Wingbardy, Players are to the east of Wingbardy. We are more north, on a planet we would likely be geographic position of Poland, Iceland, or Southern Alaska.

Griffonstone is canonically to the east of Equestria in the Hyperborean Mountains (and implied to be the closest Griffon settlement to Equestria). In this quest, Griffonstone is a poor member of the Feathersian League. If Equestria is to our west Aquileia should be able to land reach them.

That water to the North is all that's separating you from the frozen, icy wasteland at the top of the world. To give you an idea, imagine that Griffonia is Scandinavia, and that the water to the north is the Norwegian Sea. The body of water to the east is like the Black sea in that it only has the one opening/route to the actual ocean, which is through your territorial waters.

I made a damn deviantart account and uploaded it there to try and have a URL but it still won't work. Copy and pasting the image doesn't work either. I'll keep trying.

Map of Griffon Lands

A rather simplistic map that will give you a general idea of the three major factions. Feathersian city-states are not marked for simplicity's sake and due to software limitations. I used Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator, if you're curious.
Holy Christballs, Wingbardy was born Bonetown Boned.

How in the world are they even a legitimate kingdom with those borders?

BTW Questor, any chance for you to share King of Wingbardy's character so I know if I can write the omake I was considering. Kinda want to do it before you roll the diplo action.

Hold up, where does the narrow channel lead to in the west, and why can't Aquilia use that direction?
my guess is its a dead end the east as far as hes told us is the only way to the actual ocean.

Dead ends can become exotic far away trade ports. Does the channel lead into a lake, a river, a swamp, a bog, a bay, a whirlpool, sea dragon mating location, seapony civilization?

Their status as a buffer state is the only reason they still exist. Neither Kingdom can annex them without kicking off a war with the other. As for the ruler of Wingbardy, here's what the diplomatic survey had to say about him and his subjects.

Garibaldi Talonuelli is the current Duke of Wingbardy, the territory you share the longest land border with. His lands are fertile, his army is half the size of your own, and his other neighbor is your main rival of Aquileia. Naturally, being the buffer state between two kingdoms that are much stronger than themselves is an uncomfortable position that Wingbardy's inhabitants aren't too pleased with, but they take comfort in the knowledge that neither kingdom can hope to assault them without enraging the other. It is therefore in their own best interests to preserve the status quo and prevent either of their neighbors from becoming more powerful than the other. As for their leadership's view of you…well they're somewhat relieved you don't appear to be a war-like leader that might plunge their lands into conflict, but aside from that you're just another neighboring king they need to keep an eye on, albeit one they feel a bit more comfortable negotiating with.
