Are we even sure blast mining will have an effect on our war? It's a STEWARDSHIP action after all, not a martial one. Actually...

@Questor can you confirm if the blast mining will have military applications like many are assuming?

On the other hand, Hothouses and Lumberjack are usefull in having our people actually SURVIVE this magical winter, which will be pretty important if the war lasts more than one year (wood to burn and food. we kinda need both)

at least both [] plan Dammit Sombra and [] Plan: Rush to Fortify the Mountains have the essential options. Like the March South one.

Really, the only uncertainty is in regard to [ ] I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OK vs [ ] Blast Mining and [ ] Burning Shrooms: vs [ ] Caltrops:

Which is actually a hard decision to make.

The explosive were made for military use. We made them during the last war. We have just now gotten some other options on how to use them.

When you tally make sure to chose the option that says only the lastest in the counter.

That's not what I meant. Right now, we have explosives made for military purposes. People were advocating for explosive mining because on top of the economic benefits, it might lead to more military options. I think that is incorrect. If you want military options for the coming war, vote for the options that clearly give military benefits, not the ones that you hope might yield them down the road.

The main reason im doing it is because we need something to supplement the farming income were losing and i doubt the snow can effect our mining industry as hard as the farming industry.

problem is, the farming industry is also needed to... you know... feed our people.

That's slightly more important than getting an higher income,at least right now.

Thats what the Hothouse is for to get some farms going to supplement the food we need.

Basically hothouses to get some farms going against the cold and blast mining to give us some more money to help further fund the war effort.

Sorry, answered too fast while ignoring the fact you're actually voting for the farming option.

I do get the idea behind the mining option, it's just that, if the winter lasts, we'll need the lumber to burn.
Though honestly on second thought I would have removed that option. Lumberjack requires soldiers to deal with the monsters, and our soldiers will be a bit busy after all... Unless they do what they do really fast before the invasion.

This is not a war that will be over in one turn. This is the combined might of the crystal Empire led by a powerful intact Sombra we are in for a war of defense and attrition.

Yeah only my plan doesn't have hothouse. And that is mostly because I am basically sacrificing part of the southern area.
That could result in a severe hit to our soldier's morale, especially when you combine it with the forced conscription.

You're also allowing Sombra to pass what's probably our best ambush/defensive point uncontested. If we don't stop him (or at least slow him) at the mountains/border we give him the freedom to decide where he'll attack next.

I will say this any omake bonuses should definitly go to either yak attack or forcast since those are probably the two most important things we need to pass.

We are going to lose a lot of people and are more than likely going to have to sacrifice parts of our lands. We cannot and should not try to hold land we need to bleed them as much as possible until the odds favor taking Sombra out.

Titles: Emperor of Gryphus, King of Griffonia, Inheritor of the Imperial House of Gryphus, The Unifier, Great Winged Alpha

Description: At first glance, you seem like a pretty average example of the Griffon race. Head of an eagle, body of a winged lion, standing perhaps a hair taller than most other quadrupedal species. Your wife's workout regimen has also improved your physique, cords of taut muscle now visible across your body.

Knightly Orders (Self Maintained): In the old Empire, Knightly Orders were typically made up of Griffons of noble birth who joined a fraternal militant organization dedicated to martial excellence, honor, and a number of various edicts of moral strength. These great warriors dedicated themselves to the Emperor and the protection of the common Gryph. Tragically, few of these brave souls survived the reign of Discord. But a new breed of Knights now seeks to serve as your sword and shield, and will rally to your banner whenever you may need them.

Diplomatic Relations

Persons of Interest

???: A friendly and strangely casual Griffon female you met at your inaugural ball. Despite having a wonderful evening chatting with her, you never got her name.

Garibaldi Talonuelli: Formerly the Duke of Wingbardy, now the Archduke of Wingbardy, Talonuelli is a beloved public figure in his home province and an experienced administrator. After saving his city and people from Brochard's attempted invasion and negotiating his province's vassalage over a few drinks, you'd like to think you can count him among your friends.

Federico Montefeathertro: Duke of the (former) City-State of Urbirdo, and your Father-in Law. He might just be the friendliest of the former Feathersians, having agreed to back you and your kingdom without question or condition during the Brochard Crisis, and hiring a mercenary outfit as a belated wedding gift. You're reasonably certain he likes you, as much as In-Laws can like each other anyway.

I think if we rush to the mountains and have blasting weapons and the idea to use blasting powder to collapse tunnels in said mountains we could seriously hurt sombras and delay or out right wipe his army at the mountains, of course it wont kill sombra but itll slow him down when he realize he lost his army from a cave in, or fell to its death to be splattered across the ground below the trails he was using.

We are going to lose a lot of people and are more than likely going to have to sacrifice parts of our lands. We cannot and should not try to hold land we need to bleed them as much as possible until the odds favor taking Sombra out.
But HOW would we bleed them without marching south?

If Sombra comes this turn you're basically giving him free passage into our country, leaving only whatever militia is there to face him
[ ] The March South: Intelligence reports are spotty, infrequent, and often contradictory, but you don't need them to know that any Invasion is almost certainly going to come over the Peregrines before carving its way into your heartland. Whether you intend to wage a purely defensive war or launch an assault into enemy territory, you'll need to gather your forces along the Southern Border before you can consider actually engaging your foe. Rally the troops once again and march off to war. Cost: 0. Time: One Year. Reward: War turns begin

We are flying creatures we are the best creature next to pegasus to do hit and run tactics, hell with explosive weapons or flame weapons we are even more dangerous, for goodness sake we could have a the bomber before we even have the plane.

We can't not fly forever. We have good endurance but can only keep it up for a few hours at most.
