Vlag, Eike, architects, duel, and Panoramia for me. It's five, not four, but I definitely wouldn't mind any of them, architects are probably the least important though.

Also goddamn it, I really wish we had gotten that six. Ah, the lost opportunities...

Your mind is rather occupied, however: with the construction of a Light Magic tower underway, you realize you've painted yourself into a corner with regards to tower names, as you named your magically-neutral tower the White Tower without regards for the naming of a future Hysh Tower.
Just call it the Cython Tower.

People who know will get it and people who don't know will learn before it's too late and they do something stupid.

She shakes her head. "The visible mushroom is more like a fruit than a plant. Once it's fully grown, it releases spores and withers, at which point it stops absorbing Winds."

"So it needs to be exposed to the Winds while it's growing, but exposure to those two Winds prevents growth."

"And I can't use magic to encourage it because the mushrooms would absorb some of the Ghyran, which would create Dhar."
Actually, that might not be a bad subject to study in the future.

If we can get the mushrooms to grow while soaked in Dhar (which is admittedly a very big if), we might be able to create a more stable and less dangerous counterpart to Warpstone, which if properly distributed would significantly reduce the mortality rate of young and overly ambitious magisters.

Though I suppose this is just another thing to add to our backlog.

He's quiet for a while. "You've gotten sharp," he says.

"My robes aren't grey because I skimp on laundry."

"Point taken."
...

Note to self: Mathilde did not deny skimping out on laundry.

He looks at you, then look around him. "If Abelhelm wasn't enough, Roswita would have been. If two Elector Counts died to Vampires back-to-back, the third would have pulled out, and things would have returned to the way they once were. Instead we're still pruning bloodlines that have grown in Sylvanian soil for centuries."

"But not uprooting?"

He gives a bleak smile. "Not in our lifetimes."
Okay, but if you ever change your mind on that whole "not in my lifetime" thing, just say the word and we'll see what we can do.

Better to do that sort of under controlled circumstances in a sterile environment than out in the wild with whatever manages to find you.

Pan, Eike, Duels, and Vlag all seem too attractive to let pass, to me.

I could probably be talked into dropping the duels for the Library design, pretty 50/50 there.

And yeah, I think this set of social actions has way too many gems to spend one on the fief.

Panoramia 'cause I've been wanting the 'back home from hell' scene. Gives Mathilde an oppurtunity for some emotional vulnerability about the whole thing, which could be cathartic. Or it could be a couple thousand words of Mathilde ranting about The Dum Mystery, which would be hilarious.

Eika 'cause duh. If we're actually intending to take her on as an apprentice, we should probably prove we can spare the time to see her at the start of her tutelage.

Duels 'cause it could be really interesting to see, or Library cause we obviously have a degree of investment in that.

Vlag 'cause headpats.

@BoneyM I assume the crit to the Quick Draw practice roll provided some sort of benefit, is said benefit only viewable when we complete Mathilde's sword style? Just curious what Codrin's training in particular provided us aside from mastering the quick draw.

[ ] Altdorf, to witness the octenniel duels for the position of Supreme Patriarch.

These seems like something that would be totally awesome to see.

[ ] Stirland, to see for yourself how the war against Sylvania is progressing.

It's tempting to find out what's up with the vampires. It might be worth dropping by and doing some assassination now that we're relatively free.

[ ] Belegar, to discuss who will be Loremaster after you.
[ ] Panoramia, to properly finishing catching up with her.

More good stuff to do.

[ ] Julia, to see what she has gotten up to as Stirland's most experienced spy master.

Because dammit we haven't checked in on her in forever.

[ ] Eike, as she begins her tutelage at the Grey College.

We did just see her off, but is there such a thing as too much Eike?

Panoramia is no help at all, as she seems to consider the problem greatly entertaining, and then her assertion that you look 'cute' when you're mentally wrestling with the issue makes you even more distracted from the task at hand.

It's a very serious problem :V

Also these little relationship tidbits never get tiresome

Which fellowship was codrin petrescu talking about?

"That just leaves the Shrouds. And you're meeting me here instead of at a Garden, so Fellowship, not Order."

Order of the Shroud is a mainstream Morrite sect that wanders to put all bodies to rest, wherever they fall. Fellowship of the Shroud are a somewhat radical Morrite sect that opposes Vampires and Necromancers at all costs, some of whom even advocating cremation which most Morrites consider heretical.

Mathilde crits about one roll in four. Not every one of them is going to burst with goodies like a pinata. Critting a roll for quick draw means you get a really good quick draw, nothing more.

Oh, @BoneyM -

As a suggestion for another social action, I remember talk about discussing the Dum situation with Cython.

On the one hand, even more competition in whats likely to be a very contentious social vote already- on the other hand, could be very interesting.

As far as Mathilde knows, Cython has never shared a continent with Morghur, which puts a pretty hard limit on how much insight he might have.

[Attempting workarounds: Learning, 23+29+15(Windherder)=67.]
[Writing: Learning, 74+29=103.]
[Developing the quick-draw: Martial, 97+23=120.]
[Godly matters: Piety, 99+26+5(Polyglot)=130.]
These are missing the -10 penalty for overwork.
The problem is that those books tend not to be the type to hold lessons or write books.
This should be "people", not books.
"So fairly steady handing down of traditions. Maybe the corruption is at the source." You frown, and turn your attention to another corner of your memory. "Talabheim is the heart of Taal worship..."
Missing quotation mark.
"But not uprooting?"

He gives a bleak smile. "Not in our lifetimes."
I'll just say this: We better make the Waystone project count.

I could be persuaded away from Belegar with a good argument but the others are virtually mandatory to my eyes.

[ ] Belegar, to discuss who will be Loremaster after you.

I care enough about the job to put our oar in there. Who knows maybe we can pass off some important insights about the odder parts of the job, even if it is only 'for gods' sake talk to Thorek not Kragg is you must but talk to me before either'.

[ ] Panoramia, to properly finishing catching up with her.

We are in a relationship. I think it is only fair to give it the time it needs to grow, work will only take you so far

[ ] Karak Vlag, to see if they've been talked out from behind their fortifications yet.

Flat out curious about what that are doing and how they are dealing with their insight into wizards. Would be nice to see if they have runesmiths as well

[ ] Eike, as she begins her tutelage at the Grey College.

Getting solid baseline for how she is dealing with the change in her life would be nice and on the other side of things haveing Lord Magister Weber come to visit should get some fun reactions from the apprentices.

Some magnificent rolls this round. Shame about the Waaaghsoak mushrooms.
Codrin was a Morrite? Huh.

Edit: And blast, we missed Mandreds 5'th birthday last turn. But considering it was with the expedition preparations there was nothing to be done.

Welp, that's a lot of options. Even after discarding the non-immediate stuff we have a total of 7:

[ ] Belegar, to discuss who will be Loremaster after you.
[ ] Panoramia, to properly finishing catching up with her.
[ ] The Karak Azul Architects, to get to know their ideas for the potential layouts of the Library in detail.
[ ] Altdorf, to witness the octenniel duels for the position of Supreme Patriarch.
[ ] Karak Vlag, to see if they've been talked out from behind their fortifications yet.
[ ] Eike, as she begins her tutelage at the Grey College.
[ ] Roswita, to get a sense for who will control Sylvania after you turned down the position.

All of them are good. Discussing stuff with Belegar seems like a must do since it was our position for about a decade and we really ought to pass it down gracefully.

The Karak Azul Architects are also quite important since we do need to get the absolute best for the library. Duels and Eike can't quite be postponed, we don't do it now we simply miss the moment.

I'm actually inclined to skip Mathilde's relationship with Panoramia for this turn - yeah, it is important but it probably isn't quite as immediately urgent as the above. Bringing up the rear are Vlag and Roswita who can probably wait another half a turn.
