So. As far as i understand this. Karag Dum somehow managed to fucking enslave Morghur Shadowgave to protect their hold. Its the only thing that adds up with uncorrupted Waystone, and with the goddamn weirdness.

Look at the good side, we dont have to worry about paying the college and about bovine suplies again.

Also.. one can only hope that bastard is also one bad roll away from death.

And now i really-really hope we stay fresh and fully charged before a fight with this joker.

Any chance of just sniping and kiting this guy to death.

So did the dawi make a deal with a chaos beast man? Because that is what I am getting here . Alright it is the middle of the night here I need sleep will try to think about it in the morning.

In that case they have obviously touched the bad magic, time to write them off and leave. Seriously if you are binding immortal pseudo-daemons you are a Chaos faction even if you don't know it yet.

I really don't have much of any idea about what's going on (Seems clear now why he wasn't interested in giving anyone else recognition signs though), might be a bit of a clue in when he told us about Dum remembering things others wish they'd forgotten but I can't say it says anything solid.

Either way though since he didn't bother to explain anything I'd say our job here is done and it's time to be on our way.

Okay but if he's part of the active defenses we have another problem. We have no idea what his definition for friend or foe is. Considering Chaos Dwarves aren't far from here Shadowgrave may attack any dwarf not aligned with Dum. And he's almost certainly not letting any humans in.

Huh. Was gaining the two tribes as crusading buddies a trap option? Because Shadowgrave definitely would have seen those as enemies.

So we should start running about now?
We should have decided to clear the research backlog.

Karak Vlag was good, and seeing that we had access to Kragg and Thorek in the preparation for this we might have made preparation to deal with Morghul but nobody thought that Beastmen demi-god was a possibility so we didn't even try to. We are not neccessarily totally fucked but in terms of the Expeditions goals? Vlag was an welcome but unlooked for accident, head engineer is already dead and now we might get a lot wizards, Deathfang + Asarnil killed without even a glimmer of rescueing Dum. Place's more fucked than Vlag and Vlag got dunked into the Warp.

In conclusion, we should knock Bortrek out, turn around and leave. We signed up to maybe have to kill a Bloodthirster (Which was a big ask but possible with what we brought) but Morghul is an entirely different ballgame.

What, exactly, is "the changeling", and why is it relevant (asking as a person who is not immersed in whf lore, since it hasnt been in the updates i dont think?)
