Interesting thing about new spell - and
@BoneyM, please correct me it I'm wrong - if cast in energy intensive form it
prevents army from leaving any trails.
One never really associate typical army group with stealth. It's too damn ovious to be missed by anyone except drunken snotling. But this actually give them quite a bit of stealth on strategic level.
- artilery wheels trais? nope.
- cavalry/infantry tracks? nope.
- smell? nope. (smell in air dispates quickly, none is left on ground)
- sound of heavy wagons?
nope.
Trying to find where the
heck army went is not that easy.
Also, lack of noise is important, as allows to move sizeable army much more stealthily on level of tactics. Heavy cavalry charge does not rumble on ground. It's weirdly silent with only horse breathing being heard. Sound of hundreds feet does not propagate through soil and stone. It leads quite nicely to confusion and surprise tactics.
