Johann, the metal mage:Honestly, the one true Ancestor Art Johan could, would and should make is fisting a bunch of rocks.
Fisting rocks is Johan's religion.
I will note that Johann told us he only saw a split second of the Ancestor Gods, and that may not be worth the effort: the Dwarves literally have art and stuff of them from when they still walked the earth. Art made from more than a split second's worth of time. The idea is to make a moving Mapp image of Johan's vision, we have used this spell in front of dwarves often, just not with an enchantment, not using the spells on dwarves to make statues (though I'm certain some dwarves would consider a glimpse of the Ancestors worth it.)
Though the logistical hurdles don't leave us with a lot of options for that (beyond making sure retaking Silverspear goes as smoothly as possible)Moreover, I think that if we wish to improve dwarves' morale, we just need to keep helping retake Holds. That, I think, would be a better expenditure of time than risking so much on this idea.
And even if no Runeworks were to be found, there's bound to be plenty of looted suits of Gromril armour.*I'm sure Skavenblight has a fair number that were looted over the years, this would totally be a good idea!
I don't think it has much support in the thread. Boney made a post that it's a dumb idea, and I made a joke based on that, but I don't there's a lot of people taking it seriously.I don't care about the Ancestor God depiction idea. In fact I have negative interest in it. I tend to skim the thread when it gets bogged down by ideas that I consider to be exceedingly impractical or unwise, so I suppose I misinterpreted @BurnNote's point, to which I apologise.
Doesn't take much support to get bogged down in the topic, only some stubbornnessI don't think it has much support in the thread. Boney made a post that it's a dumb idea, and I made a joke based on that, but I don't there's a lot of people taking it seriously.
Well now I'm thinking of Johan going on a tour as a motivational speaker to speak about how Grungni inspired his rockfisting.Doesn't take much support to get bogged down in the topic, only some stubbornness
But yeah, at this point we're just goofing around because we can, and because it's fun to imagine Johann fisting rocks and conjuring motivational posters inspired by tripping on magic, yanno?

Kadoh pointed, a swirl ofhyshHysh andaqshyAqshy(focus, discovery, passion) spiking out from his arm (his muscles briefly backlit by the winds and clearly visible in Johann's mind) towards a somewhat more prominent streak ofghyranGhyran.
Maybe the way there seemed to be moreghurGhur in the palette that made up his world?

Oooh, remind me of some of the worse ideas. Right now I can only think of sharing the BOOK.Getting Johann, someone who has not only showed no inclination or passion for art, but is actively disadvantaged within that field, to create borderline heretical depictions of legendary figures from another cultures actual recorded history, and in doing so reveal a previously secret ability who's very existence endangers a two and a half milenia old alliance held to be sacred by both nations, isn't the worst idea we've ever had, but boy, is it up there.
A portion of the thread keeps wanting to use the BOOK to bring Abelhelm back.Oooh, remind me of some of the worse ideas. Right now I can only think of sharing the BOOK.
'Use the Second Secret on Morrslieb'?Oooh, remind me of some of the worse ideas. Right now I can only think of sharing the BOOK.
It's unfortunate that they've lost their mascot.A portion of the thread keeps wanting to use the BOOK to bring Abelhelm back.
...I must have missed that one. Last I checked, it was 'use Second Secret on Skavenblight'.
Now that's what I'm talking about. It sounds like a good idea for a split second until you realize it would have terrible consequences in the best case, but luckily it's also practically impossible.
Iirc they came up at around the same time after we found out about it....I must have missed that one. Last I checked, it was 'use Second Secret on Skavenblight'.

Some ideas are better as negaverse stories rather than theory posts, is all I'm going to say. The way you phrased that just now is pretty funny, and it seems like a waste to try and be all serious and wall-of-text about why it won't work, instead of writing some cracked out snippet that we can all laugh at as it demonstrates the same thing.
That was genius and you fukken know it.If we're revisiting 'worst ideas we've ever had', I feel obligated to bring up that time the thread considered binding Drycha like an apparition.
As far as I know only Johan is alive and witnessed this specific event, nobody else. What makes any depictions created by Johann, who wasn't particularly artistic even before he was blinded, superior to and more meaningful than any of the many surviving depictions made by Dwarves who lived and worked alongside the Ancestor Gods for centuries?
While I agree, I will note that it's one of the ones that had a significant amount of support if I remember correctly. If we're revisiting 'worst ideas we've ever had', I feel obligated to bring up that time the thread considered binding Drycha like an apparition.
