Asurs hate Teclis that much? Why?
The short answer is that Teclis is an ugly cripple nerd and the Asur are a race of jocks.

The long answer is that he is very socially awkward, has trouble relating to non-Mages who can't perceive the world as he does, and his health issues combined with the constant comparisons to Tyrion (fit, attractive, confident, charming, popular, was able to showcase his physical and strategic talents earlier than Teclis who had to wait to go to the White Tower) caused him to develop an extremely caustic and bitterly sarcastic personality as a defence mechanism, which often makes him come across as a massive asshole and stuck around even after he got his potions and flourished in his magical studies.

So while he is respected for his abilities and achievements, not a lot of people necessarily like him as a person.

Basically? Because he was born crippled. The man gets injured easily and has a harder time healing from those injuries. As a result, he decided to become a mage since being injured by a slight breeze(no, I am not joking: Teclis) physically can not stand without the use of potions) didnt matter when you could make the breeze back offf when a disappointing glance. Aka a nerd

Meanwhile, somehow despite being his identical twin, Tyrion was born one of the physically strongest elves to ever live while also turning out be a natural at murder blending. Aka natural jock.

And well, 80's British. So of course Teclis is the one shit on, despite being a walking nuclear bomb launcher. And Tyrion gets all the praise, fangirls falling at his feat, and the big titty hot girl for a girlfriend he is absolutely fucking when her parents are away.

Hey, at least Teclis has us at the School of Pointy Hats practically worshipping his every step to help himself cope. Also, ironically his father actually cared more about Teclis. This is partially because his dad being a mage and Teclis always having been the better mage...and well: the obvious: Teclis straight up needing vastly more attention just to survive his own shitty body. Tyrion due to his sheer talent just needed less help so was given less attention.
Teclis's staff strengthens him, pushing him from a whopping Strength 2 Toughness 2 to Strength 1 Toughness 1 when he expends his Staff's energy.

Also, while I'm not fond of comparing men's worth through the women they're sleeping with, the novels portray Teclis as a playboy who sleeps with tons of women and isn't afraid of messing with their memories if he said something that made him feel vulnerable and felt could be used against him.

... is there anyone the Druchii wouldn't throw under the bus?
At the levels of power that anyone we're dealing with is at? Not really. Druuchi nobility and leadership will basically only actually like... SOME of their immediate family and a lot of the time that still basically just means they expect a bigger payout before they'll throw them under the bus. Like for example, by my understanding in the Malus Darkblade books, the guy's mom does in fact love him... and is still absolutely willing to use him as a pawn for Ancient Prophecy Bullshit.

"I take it from your delivering to me of a Druchii, freshly punched in the face, that you are a connoisseur of punching Druchii in the face. I understand that this is a difficult appetite to sate in your home continent. In stark contrast, we have many Druchii in dire need of being punched in the face at home, you can come hang out and punch all the Druchii in the face that you want and watch how we punch Druchii in the face, which we have had a great deal of time and opportunity to hone the techniques of."

Nagarythe is aware that there are many fields of study that are not relating to punching Druchii in the face. They may, if pressed, even admit that there are legitimate reasons for those other fields to exist. But those topics are not ones regularly taught in the Shadowlands.
man I want to do elfication so much

Sickness and disease are rare among the Asur, as are deformities. It's the same reaction some people have to suddenly seeing someone with a mangled and/or scarred face, but magnified many times over due to the rarity among the Asur.

That, and he used to be MUCH worse. He was at a "Can drop dead any moment" level of physical health.

Teclis's heavy reliance on potions to stand upright is one of the few things that make me wonder if it's not worth learning a bit about potions at some point; if it's good enough for Teclis, it must be good enough for Mathilde.

Malus does befriend one Druchii, and in the end, tries to sacrifice himself so that said Druchii can live.

That said, how do you categorize the motivation for things like wanting to run the gamut and check all the marks with socializing the Waystone Project members?
That's pure Discovery, imo. "Hey, there's a new character operating within our narrative focus, let's go find out what their deal is."
Who is talking about Druchii diplomacy and where do I sign up to vote against it?
Last turn a trio of diplomats reached out to the Eonir and we were invited to a diplomatic soiree, as our "social action initiated by someone else" for the turn. This turn, hanging out with them more is a potential social action, currently in sixth place. I think it is very likely that we end up doing it next turn if we don't do it this turn, because in general the runner-up from the last social round always makes it in to the next (it didn't happen this turn, because last turn's first runner-up by two votes was Wissenland, which was taken off of this turn's options, but the next runner-up was Sylvania, which does seem likely to make it in this turn).

My take re: the elfternship, which I've mentioned a few times but is coming up again so here we go because time is a flat circle, is that I really want to finish Branarhune (which currently means 2 more AP because we rolled low on guard bypass, literally the most important part of the style, and will need an extra AP to come up with a new technique that accomplishes the same thing in a different way) before hitting up Nagarythe. As such, my current target for "when to do this" is T44, because with Overwork available we'll be able to spend 3 AP on Waystone work, our usual amount, and 3 AP on heading off with the Shadow Warriors, therefore not letting our responsibilities drop at all.

(Though the fact that our AV efforts have just gotten a speedbump due to the Room of Oh Fuck being unavailable for a year might make T47 better if folks really want to wrap up AV and have the book written before we go, which is possible to do before T44 but would require us to hustle. Or we could just do it on a non-Overwork-safe turn, it's not like anyone will fire us if we only spend two AP on Waystones one month instead of three.)

Potions made by the finest potioneers of Ulthuan from the ingredients of a magical paradise are good enough for Teclis. It's a stretch to say that this has any bearing as to whether the potions made by dilettante amateurs out of the scrapings of the Empire's most hellish forests belong anywhere near Mathilde's gullet.

Ah, I'd assumed he'd make his own potions. But I suppose he has better ways to spend his time if others can do it.

I would like to remind you that you have written Mathy was an iron gullet and an willingness to try anything once.
