Secondly, as others already mentioned, this might not be Drycha alone but a Warhost on top, in which case some kind of mobilisation would be needed and regimented armies might not be very welcoming to mercenary forces that just happen to turn up on their own initiative without approval from the top.
Thirdly, if it turns into an absolute mess, without a clear indication that Mathilde being present was actually beneficial, and Boris later learns that we got involved without his approval, he might not be all that happy about it.
