The choice of AV action in red shirts plan is a little disappointing as im certain it will be a dud being a player lead choice that ignores how magical reagents work for enchanting.

That said i doubt anything else will get traction that also has an av action.

Nothing has traction. Voting doesn't open for four and a half hours. If you think there's a better course of action, make it.

@BoneyM I have a question. If we're attempting to ingratiate ourself with a particular individual in the hopes of strengthening our relationship, is that a turn action or a Social action? I'm specifically asking for a possible bonding action with Prince Galenstra through showing him Dwarf, Stirland and Nuln crafted guns and talking about firearms with him. This action definitely seems to be a social one, but since it's focusing on strengthening our influence over someone with 2 votes on the council, I suspect it's probably a turn action?

Turn action. Tweaked one of the options to better allow for that sort of thing:
[ ] Spend time assisting or ingratiating yourself with someone else: specify who and how.

I'm not going to go for that action right now because I think integrating into the culture first is more important, but I suggest that people keep their eye on that action. Currently, only two people hold 2 votes on the council, Galenstra and Delynna. Getting their support gives us a great deal of power, and he seems positively inclined to giving us a chance. If we can show him the different types of guns, their effects and power and range and all the kinds of stuff the Empire and Dwarfs produce, then we can convince him that it's a good idea to keep relations with humans and Dwarfs steady and stable.

We don't have an in with Delynna at the moment, but we do with Galenstra.

Could introduce him to Anton. He does guns and might be a romantic opportunity.

Hm. Tempting. You speak my language.

I think it's better to ingratiate ourselves first, then find a proper opportunity for introduction if he agrees to start trading with the Empire. Stirland is kinda far at the moment, but as I understand it the Gerber-Kiesinger Rifle is unique, so maybe it can serve as an artisinal piece.

The repeater rifle is probably a better bet than showing off dwarfcraft, I think, at least early on. We can control and increase the supply if it catches on, we can't do that with dwarf guns.

And I like this idea of Anton and brawler elf, but I want Johann to have the opportunity first.

They're different people. Galenstra is the Gun Elf, Kadoh is the brawler muscle Elf.

There's plenty of Elf to go around.

So... okay maybe I'm just tired and am not remembering this correct. I do have to wonder if at this point no other wizards have been able to replicate our quyash snake juice producing trick as of yet?

Some possibly disturbed part of me also wonders if the same could have been replicated by slicing up and trapping any other apparitions although the danger involved in such would explain why I can't recall hearing of it being replicated as of yet.

This has been mentioned a couple times by the QM, but what happened was unreplicable and attempting to replicate it annoys the QM. The reason all of that happened was solely because of unique circumstances. The Wisdom's Asp is the only Apparition we know of who has such a unique method of traversing the world, and the Mirrorcatch Box used that nature to capture it in a unique state. Boney said that he poorly defined the parameters, setting 49 and below as death and 51 and above as life (or vice versa can't remember), and then he rolled a 50. It's like the probability of a coin standing on its edge instead of Heads or Tails.

It happened, but it can never be replicated.

You would get at most one apparition's worth of goo from one apparition. The unique part Mathilde has is a constant, reliable supply that is unable to violently object, and it is only possible because of that specific apparition having a method of travelling between reality and the warp, and it was caught right in the middle of doing so in what is, to it, dozens of overlapping portals. That is what makes it able to regenerate but unable to escape. Trying to replicate that means playing silly buggers with extremely dangerous apparitions and portals to the Aethyr to try to replicate by sheer chance a vanishingly unlikely edge case, and can and should be considered impossible.

I thought Skink priests could only wield Azyr or Ghur.

It was an example I plucked at random to illustrate my point, not a piece of worldbuilding to be deeply examined.

...You could always make a near copy and just switch the Enchanting AV for another kind of AV? At least, assuming you don't have any other notable issues with the plan.

I would also like to shout out all the research Boney put into bogs, fens, mires, swamps and marshes that he's probably done so he could make a few lines in the Update. Or all the research he probably made into waterfalls and hills, which he definitely had to do at some point and needed to condense it into a couple more lines. As someone who's recently been going on a binge of research to better understand things, by god there's a lot that one has to go through to fully understand these things. Sometimes you have to pretend you understand them by saying just enough so people don't look deeper.

I appreciate all the work you put in Boney.

I suppose it's a reasonable suggestion, so here's Red shirts plan with Divine AV.

[] Plan Redshirt v2 with Divine AV
-[] JOHANN: Have Johann spend time getting to know Kadoh, who has expressed an interest in meeting the 'fist metal-Mage'.
-[] Attempt to bring a Karak's Runesmiths into the Waystone Project (Karak Azul)
--[] COIN: The Gambler
-[] Furnish the living spaces of the Waystone Project HQ (600gc)
-[] Immerse yourself in the culture of the 'Cityborn' Toriour inhabitants of Tor Lithanel
-[] Immerse yourself in the culture of the 'Forestborn' Faniour inhabitants of the woods surrounding Tor Lithanel
-[] Investigate how the Vitae reacts with Divine Magic.
-[] EIC: Have a blackpowder factory built in Wurtbad.
-[] SERENITY: Observations of Karag Dum and its unusual guardian

For what it's worth, I actually favor Divine magic research over enchantment. So I would vote for this myself. Unfortunate that we can't have Gambler on it, but Runesmiths are more important.

Quick question, when did we get the Silver Savage title? Is that what the elves are calling us?
Asarnil called us that when he saw Mathilde in Marienburg. I find it quite charming actually. Also the sheer coincidence of Mathilde's name having to do with Silver in Eltharin and her also being the "Azrildrekked" (Ender of the Silver Journey) is somewhat poetic.

@BoneyM would the following be a valid and, as far as Mathilde knows, reasonably straightforward Windherding action:

[ ] EGRIMM: Work with him using windherding to combine Dazzle and Bewilder.

Assuming I get a yes on the above I would like to propose the following modification of Redshirt's plan

[] Plan Windherding: Crawl now, Run next turn
-[] JOHANN: Have Johann spend time getting to know Kadoh, who has expressed an interest in meeting the 'fist metal-Mage'.
-[ ] EGRIMM: Work with him using windherding to combine Dazzle and Bewilder in a spell combo.
-[ ] WEB-MAT: Attempt to recruit someone to WEB-MAT (Bright Magister Hugo Bann)
-[] Attempt to bring a Karak's Runesmiths into the Waystone Project (Karak Azul)
--[] COIN: The Gambler
-[] Furnish the living spaces of the Waystone Project HQ (600gc)
-[] Immerse yourself in the culture of the 'Cityborn' Toriour inhabitants of Tor Lithanel
-[] Investigate how the Vitae reacts with Divine Magic.
-[] EIC: Have a blackpowder factory built in Wurtbad.
-[] SERENITY: Observations of Karag Dum and its unusual guardian

Divine AV instead of enchanting as I prefer that, it also swaps out getting to know the forestborn for two windherding actions. First up we start practicing with some simple spells with Egrimm, this gets us started on windherding and it has us doing something with Egrimm, I really don't like the idea of recruiting him then ignoring him for the entire first turn we have him. This guy had a boss from hell and may have turned to literal bosses from hell to escape, lets not go too far in the oppposite direction and undermanage him. This would be an action that has him working on something interesting with mathilde but without micromanaging him too much like he wanted to escape from. Recruiting Hugo will if successfull give us access to a skilled enchanter so we can start trying windherding enchantments without having to pay out the nose in CF. It also gives us access to the main advantage the brights could bring to the waystone project (skilled enchanters) without us having to formally recruit the entire order.

Speaking of titles, I can't wait to see what we pick up while in Laurelorn. Also to meet enough Vlag dwarves that we might hear any they decide to grant, in regards to being their savior.

I'm wondering if we still get to keep the Loremaster and Court Wizard of K8P titles or if they're going to turn into former titles? I'm pretty sure we keep Thane though.
