That was an exciting end to an Arc

Hanyi got another growth spurt and is early green, so when Zhengui wakes up we are going to have a big power spike.
 
I wanna know what Xiao Fen will think when we show up to tutor/do spying with zhengui and sixiang and hanyi like having three green spirits is entirely doable and not a surprise.
 
@yrsillar, can we learn what the new Argent Vent does? It will help us plan for next turns much better, and given Ling Qi went to Meizhen's and CRX's places (or should have), she should know.
 
I was hoping she'd pull though, but I guess when a spirit of endings starts a new chapter its a real doozy.

Hitting Ashes in the GOW soundtrack while writing this really did a number on me. Gonna go have a walk while I deal with all these emotions.

This is true. But I was looking at it from the base assumption of Zeqing surviving, which would have increased our SL numbers by one. I was also speaking less from the perspective of the mechanical SL and more from the perspective of people we would want to socialize with. In which case we have lowered that number by one.


Not to shoot myself in the foot or anything, but there's no reason we couldn't try to make sure Zeqing reincarnates in a way we would prefer. Some kind if formation fuckery with Su Ling and auntie moon spirits help or something?
 
Also we need to do something with our qi, the upkeep of our spirits is rising, so our available qi is decreasing ( god the upkeep of Zenghui is going to be high).
 
Hopefully Zeqing will manage to reform (likely having gained a stage through this tribulation).

It's too bad that we lost the site, but those are some massive gains, innate 1.3 multiplier for darkness + the bonuses that Hanyi gives will be amazing, even moreso when we get a similar site.

All we need to do is wait. Our Qi goes up automatically due to our cultivation technique.

ALso, even with the -15 from Hanyi, our available Qi only decreases from B35 to B20, which isn't an important difference (most of the time only the letter of our stats matters). Even in Zhengui eats up some more Qi as well, we should be fine.

We'll hit A-10 base Qi by month Six without any assistance, because we roll 4d6+4 each month without spending any training points on it.

And it isn't worth training Qi before month Six, because it alongside EPC adds another +2 or so for each die, meaning that month our Qi rolls will be 8d6+24.

It's hard for me to think of something that has BETTER thematic synergy with Cold and Darkness than Wind.

Honestly, this makes the Wood and Fire that we're kind of "Stuck" with becuase of how awesome Zhengui is better as well.

There's poignancy and power in Contrast. If we cultivate Cold, it doesn't make our Fire less hot. It could make it Warmth.

Using this technique Hanyi draws the attention of a target at Far range to herself. On success the target must move toward Hanyi at full base speed and cannot attack her until after her next action. The target receives a large penalty to their avoid while under this effect, which last for a Short time.

Mournful Lullaby: D
Usable only against those caught in the effects of Enrapturing Silhouette, this technique receives a significant bonus to hit against such targets. if successful, it extends the effect for an additional Short period, as well as extending the period in which they cannot attack Hanyi for another action. Targets of this effect receive small penalties to All Hit, Avoid, and Initiative, which stack with each application.

Snow Maiden's Embrace: C
With either full embrace or a clasping of hands, Hanyi draws a beguiled foe to their doom. As long as Hanyi maintains physical contact with the target, their qi and health will be sapped, a fraction of which is restored to Hanyi, who can receive temporary qi or health exceeding hr maximum by up to one letter grade.

The big differences would be that we had an hope of getting to A quickly as we reached A10 soonish, but now we'll need more.

Though to be fair, Zhengui is going to take more Qi as he wakes up, I think.
