[X] Greed and Desire [Align offensive technique to Communication and Want]

I want to develop Want more, and I'm convinced by the argument that we want a wider toolbox rather than hyperfocusing on isolation.

Yeah I'd honestly say that sounds like things are looking like a nail because we're currently holding a hammer. Unless elven military doctrine has really specific hand signs, just send a runner, it's not so immediate that they NEED to see it from hand signs.

If elven military doctrine DOES have hand signs that are that specific, by all means do it, but don't force hand signs just because we can use them at this exact moment.
I think you're posting on the wrong quest

[X] Greed and Desire [Align offensive technique to Communication and Want]

Ling Qi is a self professed selfish and greedy girl, might as well own it.
Honestly, this might lead to Shu Yue showing her examples of actual greed, people fucking over their own friends and family for shallow gains, and having her realize she's not actually that bad.

[X] Ignorance and Delusion [Align offensive technique to Communication and Isolation]
[X] Greed and Desire [Align offensive technique to Communication and Want]

While hatred, aversion and how the interact with the concept of communities from the general perspective of the Hui era would be interesting to see, I feel like it doesn't really fit with Ling Qi. She's just not the type to harbor lasting hatred or grudges unless something extreme happens. So it would be better to go with something that is more fitting; and ignorance, delusion, greed, and desire can all pretty easily lead to hatred and aversion, as well various other things. So i feel like they are the better options here, personally.

And that too, would be a valuable lesson.

Edit: but discworld reference aside, LQ has stolen blankets from a kind old man, probably dooming him to death from exposure in the cold. She knows that people can absolutely fuck others over when it comes to something they want enough. She would probably say that it's more an issue of calibration of desire than desire itself.
