Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
We were told that awakening early's benefits were mainly in training arts to get a head start in building your foundation weren't we? I think it was in the context of han jian being a slacker.

The red breakthrough can't be helped. The Yellow can, as is meridian opening and Spiritual/Physical, which are ALL penalized too, or Renxiang would be utterly unstoppable.

If they had equal Talent the gap would be widening, not closing. They have much better drugs, family cultivation arts and aids

Wow, it's like you haven't been following the thread at all.

The primary purpose of awakening early isn't to push her cultivation level. It's to help her ramp up her mundane skills, and make her less likely to fall ill and die from a cold in a time period without mundane antibiotics.

Also, it gives them more time to round out a few arts.

Cultivators learn mundane skills at a rate that blows mortal learning rates out of the water. To reiterate my previous example, Qigge spends decades with the flute and never reaches peak human. Ling Qi goes from less skill than her mom, to superhuman levels of playing in a few months.

It's a deathworld. It goes without saying that it's dangerous.

Also, isnt it lucky that we have a friend that makes a meridian opening aid that leeches half that crud out? In fact, possessing such a thing seems pretty feasible.

Found the quote!

Pre 14 cultivation is primarily useful for setting up a wide base of arts. That was why Han Jian was a slacker, coming to the sect with only one or two. The big three all have pretty wide bases of arts they can swap out if need be.
Aside from that, I found something else.
Gu's family isn't disgraced btw, it's just general regionalist sentiment. You know westerners are viscous barbarians, folks from golden fields are ruthless and poor, core province folks are effete wussies etc.
I wonder what Emerald seas is stereotyped as? Tree hugging tea drinkers?

Problem solved. Ling Qi not interested.
Time to find something else to riot about!
Like stereotypes! In hindsight Sun Liling really didn't help her province image with how she behaved in the Sect so far, huh? I mean, she was always a rough house princess but I thought she was going against the image of the formal noble princess. With this it kinda feels more like she was playing up a western caricature.

Her position is pretty weak due to her being just a green and sent outside of her native region. Playing up the stereotype could ensure people from her region stay loyal to her.

Is there any harm with letting Biyu play with a single red stone as she clearly wants to? Is it guaranteed to hurt her? I thought it hurt us the first time because Meizhen was giving us a shortcut to feel our dantian.
We have no idea. For some reason Cultivatior Clans usually don't have their children awaken early. They probably have a reason; we should find out what it is.

She wanted to stand out with authority I think. Which meant she had two approaches to image:
1) Contest these inner province girls in their area of expertise, potentially lose to those super ladylike girls who grew up on courtly intrigue and look a country bumpkin.

2) Don't play the game, in fact, ham up how much you are beyond such dumb games because you are a such certified badass.

Then it turns out Renxiang plays the game, but doesn't much look the part. Meizhen looks the part but doesn't play the game.

Liling probably could have straight outprincessed them both. But Meizhen out badassed her.

Liling and Meizhen are like equally badass. Liling is bananas good and lost because of an information game more than anything else. She also has way cooler aesthetics.

Lies.

DAMN LIES.

As for Liling. Honestly, her playing up the barbarian angle lead to people underestimating her a few times.

Liling was mentioned to be ah...top heavy. Meizhen is smol, white and slim(ilya?)

But yes, people see the raging barbarian they keep forgetting she's also taught strategy, if a little impulse driven

Ideals of feminine beauty can vary wildly.

Hell, Renren has attracted a lot of attention in that department.

And I think that's enough said on this subject, as most of the cast is fourteen-fifteen.

It was mostly for the memes anyway.
