Once again no battle with our friends I guess. And I guess the LQ must lose club will get their will when Lanlan and/or Zhengui ends up crippled or dead.
Xiulan is a glass cannon last we looked, and Zhengui's whole thing is that he can't flee and is a sitting duck whose main weakness is against kiting enemies, whose best example in the settings are cloud nomads. They are basically hard countered here. There is no need for the fatalism. Xiulan and Zhengui can take care of themselves. If they really are outmatched they know how to hide and flee, too. They are not helpless without us.
On another hand we pretty much abandioned our post with this and if they actualy do attack with anything resembling numbers of this raid party we shure would have loved being there to back them up.There is no need for the fatalism. Xiulan and Zhengui can take care of themselves. If they really are outmatched they know how to hide and flee, too. They are not helpless without us.

The one hope we have is that Zhengui dig underground and hide with Xiulan while the village goes up in flame and everyone else dies.
Yup, his artillery tech is really bad at anti air. OTOH, we saw all of zero attacks against flyers by others. I'm not saying that it'd cause panic, but the difference between zero risk (until you swoop in) and a small risk is pretty steep proportionally and if the barbs aren't attacking literally every possible target than it does make sense that they'd hit ones that seemed softer.I mean, what Zhengui showed was bad anti-air capability. He has artillery. He's unlikely to actually hit anything at range though. I don't see why that would panic them.
Indeed, spite voting is a time honoured tradition. You know, I was going to vote for the "Return" option just before Yrs locked it, but after seeing the last couple of posts made after locking, I'm glad I didn't.
We actually saw anti-air from Shen Hu before, and let's be honest, we have never seen anyone before that didn't have some kind of blaster tech. Even Ji Rong has one.Yup, his artillery tech is really bad at anti air. OTOH, we saw all of zero attacks against flyers by others. The only option that was assured to not mess up was the 'Wait' option. 'Hunt' option also has the advantage that we will succeed at a simple goal no matter what, and if the Bardbarian is escaping by going through our village, we'd have the bonus of saving it too."Return" was not a BAD option, mind you. It just was not necessarily the ONLY good option.
This is not a failure on our part. If it is, Yrs will let us know when the update comes ,but I am confident we did not mess up here.
If "Return" had won, I would hav been fine with it. But I am more fine with going to help out at 3rd village.

No, help other village was the only option where we decide to gamble with the lives of our friends and ignore our duty because we want to be a completionist.
Still, things might not be all bad. Maybe the barbarian raid was only one strong attack and bardbarian isn't going to go through our village while leaving, so we our extreme gamble will luck out. Or maybe for the first time in two threads we get actual consequences, but we get lucky and Xiulan/Zhengui are only in coma for a few months, while Ling Qi is forbidden from going up in rank or taking duties until next year because of derilection of duty.
I thought the argument for Wait was very good. Alas.Well, this is a shame. I was hoping we'd have a chance to connect, however briefly, with the young man whose life we likely saved. Imagine the social links!
IKR??? Isn't he adorable!???!??!?So on more light hearted news, if anyone's not following it there's a new Royal Road chapter that just came out, entirely new content that is, and everyone should go read it right now.
It's about Zhengui and god our Precious is just the best.

Its fantastic, especially if its Precious-themed. I'm already craving the next dose. Its just... so CUTE.
Thats a great idea! We can let him show off, preen and whatever he likesMaybe he can come and try to fix all the burnt fields, something so we can show how proud we are of best boy.
To be fair, I am fairly sure that name means Moon.I like that we refer to Grinning Moon avatar as "Grinning" instead of a mentioned name
Then again, yrs didn't use that at all in the Moon event so I'm not gonna push this too much
